I got gel nail polish and they last 3 days it took him about 30 minutes to do my nails. He was very rude and the quality was awful. I ve never had my nails peal off in 3 days. I will DEFINITELY NOT be returning.. be weary of any place with no price list in the establishment("use the website" I was told). As I said hello and smiled at my nail technician, she just stared at me and pointed to the pedicure chairs in the back. Regular pedicure w/no callus removal gel (pumice stone only) is $30. Acrylic fill w/gel polish - they do not allow you to choose more than one color when charging for gel polish...as the owner said "you get ONE ring finger color free...then $3 per color". So I spent $75 for nails/feet with no designs. I had to keep directing my tech on painting the nails to the edge and attention to detail was clearly MY job at this point. "Cuticle clean-up" was her using her nails to scrape away paint rather than using a thin brush and remover (same w/my toes). Inflated pricing is not proportional to their level of general cleanliness. ***They make sure not to have an accessible trash can so that they can reuse those disposable flip flops and toe separators that we all think are being discarded. I called Sonny's on September 27 to find out what time they closed and if I would still be able to come in to get my nails done. The owner says yes but when we got here the door was locked and it was 629. When we knocked on the door, he came to the door so we close at 6:30 now but on the door is clearly says Tuesdays to 7 o'clock included it in this message is a picture of the business sign. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! RUDE!!! Insensitive!!!! DO NOT GO HERE !!!!I had the most horrible experience with the nail tech Kim today when receiving services. Kim made a negative comment towards me while servicing me in which I got very offended. This is the second time she made a negative comment towards me. When doing so she drew attention to me with their employees and customers .I just spoke to the owner Sonny and he explained to me she should've never made that comment he apologize .I was not satisfied with the services or customer service . I was very embarrassed and wanted to leave. I explained to her I did not like what she was saying. Kim rush my services which made my polish very clunky and I was not satisfied with my Service. First let me say: Sonny Nails, you have a stupid name. I kind of suck at being a girl.. Nail care is outside my realm of expertise. So recently when my cuticles began growing at a hyper-accelerated rate and started to consuming the rest of my nail, I had no idea what to do. After a few weeks of being disgusted, I decided to turn it over to the experts for my FIRST MANICURE EVER. I've always heard you're never supposed to cut the cuticle.. but that was one of the first things she did. I thought that maybe that was the only available option since they were so overgrown, but surely she wasn't supposed to make a bunch of my nails bleed and remain raw for days, was she? Then a day or so later, all the skin started shredding and peeling back down my finger from the nail bed, maybe from when she sanded the skin down? Guh-ROSS! Pros: Good at designs, great pricing, work fast and do a good job on the actual nails Major con: Very few polishes to choose from, polishes are mostly brands you have never heard of, and are old. Their nail dryer is just a bunch of fans with a regular light bulb, so after sitting there for 30 minutes because my nails were still tacky, I still smudged 2 of them (annoying). I think the polish may have been old, too. And to the girl 2 reviews down from me, the salon doesn't have a stupid name... It is named after the owner of the business, Sonny. Imagine that. Stay away. Tools used did not appear to be cleaned before or after use. Took almost 2.5 hours for a regular manicure and pedicure because she kept stopping to attend to other things/customers. My nails look terrible. Got them done on Tuesday. It is now Thursday and my manicure had chipped beyond belief. I won't be returning. read more

I've never had an experience so bad that it made me walk out mid-service. I went on a Sunday morning. When I got there, there were two women already waiting, which was fine. I waited for a good 30 minutes and was finally called to a chair. The nail technician didn't acknowledge me while I sat there, and instead, started painting another woman's nails. When she got back to me, I told her what I wanted: acrylics taken off & a manicure. She proceeds to peel off one nail. Then, she gets up again and disappears for 20 minutes! That is not an exaggeration. I started taking the acrylic off myself and was one fingernail short of being done when she came back over. When she sat down, I politely told her that I stil wanted a manicure, but didn't want to pay for taking them off since...she didn't take them off. From here, she stands up and says, "Fine. Then you can finish it. Take your time." THEN, SHE STARTED DOING ANOTHER WOMAN'S NAILS. I walked out, fuming inside, and they didn't even bat an eye. read more

Very unorganized I walked in with my sister in law and daughter told them what we wanted done, after waiting a good 30minutes they finally called my daughter two other women walked in and were taken ahead of me any my sister in law ( no they didn't have appointments) then when yet another woman walked in and asked how long the wait was sonny said 15 minutes telling the woman that we were not getting our nails done! I've always gone to Sonny's to get my nails done for special occasions. I have gotten my eyebrows waxed, gel and acrylic nails and pedicures. No matter what you get done there the service is awesome. I usually get my nails done by Sonny himself and not only is he friendly but he is always there. The family works hard for their business and always makes sure the customers are happy. To the woman who wrote a bad review about her manicure. How the hell can you review something that you had never done before? When your cuticles are that long they have to push them back or cut them to get them to the right place. Getting acrylic or gel nails put on isn't healthy for your nails and it makes them thinner but that's the customers choice. So before you went there you should of done your research about nail care. If you didn't want that done you should of went to Wal-Mart and bought yourself a nail file. No matter where you go the process is the same and in my experience Sonny's has the most long lasting effect. And it's pretty immature to say "you have a stupid name" really? Sonny is the owner's name. And I think it's pretty obvious to everyone that goes to nail salons that 90% of the owner's are of Asian descent. Next time do your research before going off and talking about something you have no clue about. You should be ashamed of yourself for picking on a hard working, nice Asian man. In all the years I have been going there I have never seen one person complain and I usually end up tipping everyone that's helped me a generous amount because they make me feel so welcomed. My sister and I made it in around 7pm and they took us as walk ins. I waited until my sister's full set was being shaped before I decided that I wanted a full set too. Kathy did my nails and Alex and Sonny did my sister's nails. I will post pics. They are nice. Our nails are not perfect but (mine are a little thick for me as I prefer thin, but I forgot to ask for that) I am definitely satisfied. The service was quick, there was no wait, and Kathy, Sonny, and Alex were personable and polite. The place is a nice size, clean (bathroom too) and well lit with a flat screen tv in the front for manicures and one in the back for pedicures. Unfortunately, my nails were not dry enough when I left the salon, so every single nail except for one was smudged. I guess I will have to go back tomorrow for a fix. They charged $20 for a full set of acrylic nails. My sister got claws so they charged her $27. Gel manicures are $20 with a wide selection of colors. This place does have a strong chemical odor, for those with highly sensitive noses. read more
