Dirtiest salon I've ever seen , I went in for a simple soak off. My tech immediately went in with a spatula , had to ask for her to soak them. asked for her to use a drill because she was hurting me & ripping layers off of my real nail , she kept going with a spatula & i left with a hole in my nail.. i watched everyone around me leave unsatisfied as well. the techs are rude , don't listen & talk about the guests as if they aren't the ones messing up. read more

So I don't normally get my nails done. But I'm visiting my daughter and it was a fun mom and daughter thing to do. She has been here before and it was a terrible experience for her. We walked in and one woman asked what we wanted. I said a manicure. Clearly she didn't understand what I was saying. I did NOT get a manicure!! She's telling me to pick a color. Then she's insisting on me to sit in the chair. So I sat down. She asked if I had picked a color. I said no you didn't give me time. So my daughter had picked one for me and we went with it. I was asked if I wanted my nails trimmed. I said yes. She starts filing them down. Then she starts using the electric file over the surface of the nail. Completely ignoring the fact that I asked her to trim my nails. She looks at me like I had 2 heads. She starts cutting my nails down. Too short!! I said trimmed not butchered. I guess my request doesn't matter. She starts painting my jagged nails. I had to stop her and ask her to file them so they were smooth and even. She hurried the process. They didn't listen a thing my daughter said either. She had another nail tech do hers. She was having a full set done. She told them what length she wanted. They cut them way too short. She picked a color, and she specified TWICE what she wanted. He started painting them another color. I had to STOP him and tell him what she actually wanted. He looked at me like I had 2 heads. He hurried through the process of hers too. They don't have a price list anywhere. So you have NO CLUE what you are going to end up paying. My daughter paid $100! I paid $25 for what? Trash! Apparently, this place is now Happy Nails and spa. The signage inside saiys Luxury Nail and spa. Whatever this place is called now, I would never recommend this place to anyone. They were pushy, loud and rude. A few other ppl came in while we were finishing up and they were rude to them too. Not listening to anything. I urge you to use caution!! Scheduled an appointment for myself and my friend and despite them being very busy we were taken right away (due to appt). My friend got her pedicure while I began my manicure with Yen. Yen was great and helped me find just the exact color red I was looking for with a touch of glitter. Yen was very gentle and we had a nice conversation during my manicure. Yen even fixed my broken nail which had torn halfway down my nail bed. I'm so thankful for her time and experience or I'd have lost that entire nail. She finished my nails and my friend was still getting her manicure so they allowed me to sit next to her until she was ready. After leaving a few days later I did tear 2 nails and just stopped in to see if they could save my nails. To my surprise there was a different guy working who told me he could fix them both! Who hoo! After waiting about 5 min I was sitting in a freshly cleaned chair & manicure station. He quickly removed my polish and glued my nails then added acrylic to the 2 nails to strengthen them even more and repainted them perfectly! I was shocked at how fast he was able to mend both especially given how busy they were & me without an appointment-I guess going to the same place and getting to know the people who work there pays off. I am grateful for everything they did on both visits and highly recommend this place for pedicures and manicures. I get gel manicure and regular pedicure. I also recommend them for getting nails fixed & designs painted on for special occasions. Cleanliness 4:5, professionalism 4/5, variety of options 5/5, price5/5. I love Luxury Spa! When I first came to Baltimore, I could not find a reliable spa that I liked for all of my services (gel manicures, pedicures and Brazilian waxes). It was annoying having to try different spas to even be satisfied with one service, and impossible for all three. A good Brazilian wax at a fair price is hard to find but at Luxury, you can get an excellent wax for CHEAP! I pay $40 and get a more thorough wax than when I have paid almost twice that at other places! There are two staff that do the waxes and they are both regularly here, so no feeling like you're just passed around. Importantly, they are not shy! They get up in there, and will work with you to position yourself to get everything you want GONE and it's quick and easy. I am a thick, curly haired girl and I am still always in and out in 15 minutes MAX. I've also gotten gel manicures (that always last) and pedicures. I've also made a mistake with my color and they've been understanding and let me switch when it didn't come out as expected. With pedicures, I didn't realize until I came here--there are levels to these massage chairs, y'all!! I love being able to tailor my massage to my needs--whether it be a sore back or neck or everything! Staff are friendly! They ask about how things are going and usually if you're here for a while they'll offer complimentary wine. In addition to that, it's a beautiful space and calming atmosphere. This family owned spa started out in-house at Merritt Athletic Center in Canton, and moved to expand. I just happened upon the salon after leaving from picking up my yummy wings. The salon is gorgeous. It's clean and modern. They took some time getting this place ready. My technical was very friendly.. and chatty. Which was ok, because manis and pedis are not that relaxing to me in the first place. He did an ok job on my nails. They looked really nice unpolished. I think that they are a little pricey, but I guess you are paying for the atmosphere. Update. 9/8/16- Ive always had such a hard time committing to a salon.. But I have been back a few times since my last review . I really really like the technician Kenny. Both times that I've been here, he's been friendly and pays such attention to detail. Even for minor services like a polish change . There is one technician there who is very inappropriate and always is fussy about whether he should have chosen to service the customer.. I seen this place riding by and stopped by the receptionist is VERY loud .They were kind of arguing over whose turn it was to take a client which is ridiculous.I got in right before the Friday after work rush.The guy that did my nails was very neat and took his time.Its hard to find someone who can keep your nails oval shaped and not sharp but he does perfectly!!! This salon looks appealing however, the quality in the products they use seem borderline black market and harmful for your nails. I recently got my nails done I came in requesting a removal and full set. The tech insisted suggested I did not need a removal and that she would cut the old powder and remove nails if needed. That night while in the shower a mail broke. Immediately I had frustration although I knew I would no issues with a repair. Or what I thought. The loud mouth owner insisted that she recommended me to remove the nails and do a full set even though she was not who I spoke to when I entered the salon. I advised her that I spoke with the pregnant nail tech and explained what happened however, she told me it was not true. So the ONE nail that broke was also the ONE nail I had with a design on it. While repairing my one nail she requested for me to wait for the pregnant girl to return from her doctors appointment for her to re do the design because she doesn't do them. Meanwhile I was the only person in the front of the shop and a cluster of nail techs were unoccupied. After inquiring if one of the many techs who aren't doing anything can do the design she secured one. She also has no problem telling you to not come back. So yelp review and license compliant it is. This places is okay.. I feel like it's really a hit and miss depending on the nail tech you get. Also I did NOT appreciate that they talk bad about paying customers in Vietnamese in front of their faces (I know since I was able to understand).. Today I came in with a party of three... We all three got a pedicure together, two of us got the 30 min pedi and one for the 40 min pedi) but one of the 30 min pedicure only lasted about 15 minutes long and the whole time you heard the lady telling another tech that she's almost done in Vietnamese rushing through her service since she had to switch techs for her nails but still charged us for $30 pedi even though she didn't receive a 30 minute pedicure... So shouldn't she had been charged for the express pedicure instead of the 30 minute one?? I thought my tech was really nice and understanding, he spent a lot of time helping me with my designs and was very patient with me even though I was being very indecisive. An important thing that they should fix is instead of communicating in a different language to each other, they should talk more to their customers or try to keep they conversation to a minimum. Ok so the first time I came I was introduced to the "paraffin wax" pedicure..not sure if I spelled that right . Anyway I LOVED it . The nail tech was very nice . I ended up leaving her a tip . Based on my first experience I decided to go back and will not be returning because obviously not all nail techs are the same and my second experience was not so great ! Nail tech had a bad attitude and made it obvious that she was talking about me to her coworker . Everything she did had a bad attitude behind it especially the aggressiveness with putting my feet back in the water . Cindy is wonderful! She fixed lifting in my acrylics and did beautiful coats with my gels. She even filed down the bits from the glow in the dark gel I did for a bit of sparkle. I would really give 0 stars if I was able to. I went and got a pedicure and the guy was really rough. I told him that I had a procedure done a year prior, and to please be gentle he told him to just sit back and relax. I had to tell him AGAIN to stop digging for whatever it is that he's looking for because he's hurting me, or I was getting up to leave. He finally stops. Then he brings out the cheese grater, he cuts my right big toe because he's so damn rough !! When I tell him that's ok someone else can finish me he starts the person next to me pedicure. As someone else that works there comes and removes my feet from under the gel dryer and kind of throws my foot down and walks away. As I'm waiting for the new person to come he slides back over and puts wax on my legs. Then told me to wait 5 minutes then I can go. 5 minutes rolls by and he takes the wax off. I go upfront where my moms was waiting for me and I proceeded to pay. Then was asked why I'm not leaving a tip. First off no body HAS to leave a tip. After the service I received? Absolutely not! The next day comes and my toe is really soar but I think nothing of it. The next day after that my toe is red and irritated. I work at a podiatry office and had the doctor look at my toe and it's infected. He gave me antibiotics but that didn't clean up the infection so I had to get a procedure done to clean the infection out from the guy digging ! My friends and I love the staff here and have followed them from their original location in Canton. They are always so sweet and accommodating when we arrive even 30 minutes before closing time. It feels like family here. We always get the gel manicure, and it is the longest lasting gel I've had in this city (longer than every other nail salon I've tried in canton). The ladies (and men) here are very talented and are willing to do great nail designs, ombré, etc. They also have a fabulous basic pedicure with scrub and hot stone massage. I love this place! This place is very dirty. I went in and a lady was not wearing a mask. When the man was doing my toes he did not use sterile equipment, and did not do a good job at all! I still have dead skin and did not do a good job trimming the side of my toe nails. Even the pain was awful. After that i sat down to get my nails done and a MD state inspector came in and everyone was cleaning and throwing away used dirty tools. A lady in the back ran and grabbed cheese graters that they were using on peoples feet, she was literally running away from the inspector. I did not let them finish my nails and will never go back. I've been coming here for a few months now, usually with my daughter & her dad. Never had a bad experience until today. The gentleman that did my fill in noticed some acrylic lifting & wanted to remove it. However, instead of lifting just the acrylic off with the tool that resembles some hardcore tweezers he removed a portion of my nail bed along with it. When I reacted to the pain he told me there was no way that could have hurt. When I said it did & that he took my nail bed with it he told me no way. At that point I'm bleeding & stating YES, you absolutely did! He went to get the green stuff to stop the bleeding & starts rubbing paper towels over it. I react again because of how much it hurt & he made another comment about how it shouldn't be hurting. By the time my fill in was finished, you could see my entire nail bed was black & blue & there was still blood occurring. Polish covers it but good lord it hurts like nothing else. I needed my eyebrows done but I just wanted out of there so I paid & left. I was also lied to about receiving a discount due to the incident but still paid full price. I really don't think I'll return & that means they're losing a high paying customer since we typically spend close to $300 a visit for all of us. I'm really upset & hoping I don't get an infection or anything due to dirty tools. read more

I waited about 25-30 minutes until I got called. Everyone is very nice. I chose to go with a dip powder set. I did not like how my cuticles were not cut or even offered to be cut. Now my nails look nice but I feel like the manicurist should have taken the time to prep my nail before. I have gone to other salons that after you are done also put cuticle oil on your nails. The manicurist had 2 types of cuticle oil on her area and didn't even ask me if I wanted any. When I got home I had to put my OWN cuticle oil. I just feel like if you are paying money you should get all the benefits. Especially that my cuticles looked so dry after filling. Also to pay with debit or credit card you have to have an ID. I did not have mine on me, so I was forced to pay cash. Overall I would come back to this salon. I am giving 3 stars, discounting 1 star for prep of nail and another star for payment method.
