Stopped today for dinner with my folks. Had the Sweet Carolina pulled pork sandwich and fries, and it was amazing. The bun wasn't too greasy and the sandwich didn't collapse into a mess of chunks (as can happen with lesser sandwiches). The fries were hot and good, and didn't taste like they came from a box. The location was clean and spacious, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I didn't get the salad bar but it smelled fresh and tasty. read more

Been eating Sonnys bbq for as long as I can remember. Babyback ribs are what keeps me coming back but tonight I tried smoked chicken wings. No regrets! I thought I had chicken wings every way possible but here they come smoked. I dont think Ill ever have them fried again. This is my Disclaimer: This review is solely based on my own honest opinion in regards to a recent visit at said establishment and not being posted out of any malice or slander. I visited Sonny's on March 3, 2018 around 6:00pm and I had the WORST server named "VICKI" wait on our table. This lady/waitress should not be in this line of work as a waitress. She has no personality at all and makes you feel like she doesn't even want to wait on you or that your bothering her. She is so slow getting your order to your table and I feel like leaving and going some where else to eat a meal. Than to top it all off, I was with a rather large party and when I went up to the register to pay she said to me, Hey everyone left at your table and one didn't pay. I said I can not believe that one of my guests would do such a thing and she replied, "it happens all the time". I said lets go back to the table and see if he left his money there. As we walked back to the table, she lifted up the receipt and low & behold, his cash was there (Paid Bill in Full) and even left her a Tip. After that ordeal and embarrassment I was expecting Vicki to say, I'm sorry and apologize. Least I say, that did not happen. I had to say to her, I believe you owe me an apology for making me feel like one of my guests was a thief and she did not respond. As I continued to ask for an apology, she said, apology accepted. What does that mean? If this is the type of people that this establishment has working at Sonny's, I will go some where else. Vicki needs to be re-trained and taught how to greet customers and be a excellent waitress cause the way she is, the complaints will keep coming in, this I can assure you. read more

Great food. Reasonably priced and you get a lot of food for the money. Kids meals are $5 and includes everything. I wish there was one of these closer to me. Two adults and one child and our bill was less than $40 with a large tip. The service was wonderful and we will definitely stop back on our next road trip. read more

1st incident, decided to do curbside, called and said i was here and was told to come inside and pick up, inconvenient but whatever. 2nd incident did another curbside just went in and hostess seemed to be confused after my boyfriend said we had a pickup order. She confusingly walked away from him and took another cars curbside outside then came back inside and asked him what he would like to order?? After reiterating a couple times that we already ordered she gave him our food which was sitting on the counter in front of her the whole time. We stupidly didn't check the meals until we got home and whole order was messed up we ordered the loaded tots and was just given tots with queso on top and sauces were missing from the redneck egg-rolls, called up asked for a refund they were unable to give me one since the ticket was closed out so the manager just wrote my name down and said they'll comp the sides whenever we come in and order again (probably not going back to spend more money and find out) A for some effort on their part though. service is great when dining in but beware of curbside aka not actually curbside. read more

I had the sliced pork and the brisket and for the price I didn't think I got enough. The beans were really good and so was the mac & cheese (it's kinda hard to mess that up). We were seated a several minutes after entering. There were multiple servers wondering about. The person who seated us had just walked in for her shift & said someone will be with us soon. We looked at menu & waited. And waited. After 7 minutes of waiting, we still had not been greeted or offered a drink. Another minute or 2 passes another customer is seated & offered a drink immediately. Now after sitting for 12+ minutes we get up to leave, a server seemed puzzled & asks if we had not been helped. My wife and I dined at Sonny's in Bushnell last Sunday. The salad bar was great and the chicken and dumpling soup was incredible. Service was great too. ya know . . . this was not bad. I'm a huge BBQ snob so I have honestly never even considered going into Sonny's but I was on the road and needed a fix so... there I was. They were having a all you can eat rib special and that sounded good. The ribs came in an initial order of 4 then 3 at a time after that and I've certainly had worse (including at those little mom and pop places that we yelpers love). They were a little uneven one of the orders of 3 was a little dry but overall not bad. The sweet tea was good southern sweet tea and, and oddly enough the salad bar (of all things) was really good. I'll have to try a few more (oh shucks) too see it they're all this good but I've got to say, not bad at all. read more

This was the worst Sonny's I have ever been to in my life. The service was fine. She was friendly and doing her job. It looks like they have servers doing a lot of extra jobs so they don't have to hire busboys. The food was inedible... but it's not worth sending back when it's that bad because you know they aren't going to magically produce something better. I did not see anything on my receipt about ACA but if it was there, it would have been the only money worth spending besides the tip. It's horrible that it took ACA to get this franchise owner to provide health care benefits for people who handle our food! Shameful. With the overpriced fuel at this exit, I certainly have no reason to stop in Bushnell again. I just hope this Sonny's owner gets their head out of their rear and brings it back up to standard.
