I recently was involved in my first automobile accident and was referred to Sonnys Collision by a friend. As anyone knows being involved in an accident is stressful enough, but when it comes to fixing the vehicle Sonny's put all my concerns and worries to ease. The second I called Sonny's I knew they were going to be the body shop I went with, they were extremely polite, professional, and genuinely concerned that my car be returned to good as new. I set up an appointment to drop the car off and I met with a gentleman named Pat, who not only spoke to me about the accident but also how it happened, what the process and the next step would be, and what I could roughly expect the timeline to be to get my car back. After speaking with Pat about the process and how things would work, he had asked if I needed a rental car, they have rental car options available right on scene! I did not need a rental car but what a convenience it would have been if I did need one. I had thought I was done and getting ready to leave when Pat had asked if I wanted any refreshments inside or if I wanted to just see inside quick and get a look at what the shop looked like. I took him up on this offer being it was my first accident and had never seen the inside of a body shop. Upon walking in I was greeted by everyone who wasn't currently on a phone call, and the people who were on the phone either waved hello or said hello after they got off the phone. Inside the office was very nice and welcoming, inside u could see where the workers were through the big glass windows and the shop was immaculate. I was already convinced Sonny's was the right place for me to have my car repaired, but after seeing this I knew there was no doubt. I dropped my car off and went home only to be called back in about an hour or so by Pat asking for a copy of the police report for the accident and that he was already in touch with my insurance company to get the ball rolling. About a day or so had gone by and I heard from Sonny's that my insurance company was sending down the adjustor to take a look at the vehicle, I heard from Sonny's before even hearing from my insurance company! I was beyond thrilled. I spoke with Pat again and he explained where we stood in the process , what was next and what I should expect from here going forward. All in all I can't say enough good things about Sonny's , the work they did and the people they have working for them. I recently got my car back expecting to be able to see a difference in how the vehicle looked, but to my surprise and enjoyment the car looked better than the day i drove it out of the dealership. Not only was the car immaculate, repaired, cleaned on the inside and outside but I also received a few items from Sonny's such as a pocket calendar, ice scraper, coffee mug, flashlight and a few other items as well, along with a token for a 100$ discount should myself or a family member or friend ever get into an accident again!! I LOVE this establishment! First, let me start by saying I always feel like family when dealing with anyone who answers the telephone at Sonny's. They are extremely professional and the work absolutely speaks for itself. This is my forth time having to use Sonny's Collision for repairs and each and every time that I picked up my vehicle, it looked brand new, like I was never involved in a motor vehicle accident to begin with. I used to reside in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn, but I now reside upstate New York and I had my car towed to (my preferred repair shop) of my choice (Sonny's Collision) because I know that the work is going to be done correctly. The accident was on 03/13/20 and on 03/14/20 the tow truck driver was at my home picking up my car from upstate New York. He called me prior to arriving, provided me with his cell phone number to contact him just in case I had any questions or concerns, and kept me abreast of his estimated arrival time. He arrived at my home at said time, I explained to him where the damages / concerning areas were and he put the car on the flat bed, and handled his business. He was very nice and friendly, it was very comforting. There is nothing better than a company providing any type of service for a customer for whatever reason, and you feel like you weren't taken advantage of, and that you got your money's worth. I am a very loyal customer, I would not take my car to any other car collision place EVER. I've even referred a few people to Sonny's and they had nothing but good things to say about their service. The car that was repaired was a silver 2017 Nissan Sentra, and when I received the car back after the car was completed I was very pleased. Everything was fixed correctly, no one did half of a job, its just very refreshing. Even the ladies who answer the telephone after hours or on weekends are extremely professional. I want to thank Sonny's Collision for their committed excellence to their customers. I would also like for everyone at Sonny's Collision to know that I am a loyal customer and as long as you guys are in business and as long as I need some sort of body work done on my vehicle, I would never go anywhere but to you guys. This place it totally off da hook the service that I received is what is you don't see anymore I mean I'm totally blown away by the service I received from the second I walked in and dropped of my car ps ROB helped me out til the time I picked it up . I had to return my car to my leasing company in 21 days I was worried if the repairs could get done it time yes I wait for the last minute for everything smh , this wasn't a problem. With Sonny's not only did I not have to worry they had a car rental hertz right on site everything went smoothly . I'm telling you words cannot describe the professionalism that this place has, free coffee , snacks while you wait TVs to watch I got better service here that I do waiting to ck into a hotel my car came out brand new not only are the repairs flawless they cleaned and detailed the inside of my car , who knew this was even possible my car has never looked so new that I totally fell in love with my car again as it was the first day I picked it up from the dealer 3 years ago , I'm literally thinking of keeping my car now and not leasing a new one I guess Sonny's really impacted me that much and the things they give ya when you pick up your car are a really a nice gesture free coffee tumbler my favorite thing beautiful dark red color , flashlight on my key ring with many other things just for being a customer there people I'm telling you I don't write a lot of reviews but this place it totally on spot , and unbelievably the only people who might not appreciate them it is my leasing company as I don't think I'm going to lease a new car because Sonny's made my car look and feel brand new again def if your car needs to.be repaired this is the place to go to see ROB he is definitely a gentleman, as were the whole staff and by the way the place is immaculate and spotless which is a whole another show can't believe not a spec of dirt anywheres in this shop , check it out for ya selves I'm giving. My brand 2026 Kia Seltos was side swipe by a unlicensed and uninured driver (that dog will have its day), ruin the front bumper, damage the driver door. The driver hit some kinda crazy way, that it forceful moved the steering wheel which move the club and damage the middle console and some other electronic parts. In any event, I wasn't even sure where to begin to get this fix, all I had was the police report and no clue where or whom to take for repair. Lucky, my friend Jenny recommended Sonny's as her Audi was hit a few years back, and her experience with Sonny's was awesome. And she not someone who gives 5* review just because. In any event, I contact Sonny's told them my story, I had the tow truck pick up my car within an hour, on a Friday. Let me tell YOU ALL something, from the moment I walked into the shop I felt like FAMILY. I was the only woman on the premises and felt very comfortable with all of them. They we're having lunch and even offered me some. LOL Anyhow, Pat was AMAZING!!! He called Geico (my insurance company) scheduled the inspection for Tuesday. Inspector came, Pat then called me stating work was approved, and that parts were being ordered. ETA of completion was about 28 days. They called along the way, and I called along the way for updates and every interaction was friendly and professional, my questions were always welcomed. Exactly to the day, got the called to pick up my car, and it NOT only looked brand new, but they also manage to keep the new car smell. Which is something I wanted to experience since it was a new car for me in 13 years. Sonny's is a FIRST CLASS ALL THE WAY!!!!! I totally would recommend, if you want honest, professional and CERTIFIED WORK, Sonny's Collision is the place to take your car. We don't ever want to take the car to the shop, but Pat and his team were AMAZING and very KNOWLEGEABLE. They are beyond 5*, I would say their PLATINUM. Let me start from the beginning, I woke up Monday morning to leave for work and while walking to my car I saw a paint mark on my passenger side door. Once I got closer I realized my mind wasn't playing tricks on me and my car actually had a mark on it. It looked like a very small part of my car was sprayed with paint. So I instantly got upset thinking its always something. I took it where I normally had taken my car to get fixed if I had a problem and he told me he would have to do the whole door and it would cost me $300. My reply was $300 for what exactly its a small spot you should be able to buff it out. He kept telling me the same price so I left there even more upset. Than I took it to a place my sister use to go to he told me the same exact thing I'm like no this is bullshit y'all are trying to get over on me because I'm a female. Finally, I came across Sonny's while searching the web on Google. I called them up Tuesday morning spoke with Jimmy who was very professional and polite. I told him the problem he asked could I bring the car in so he could see it I told him I couldn't at the time but asked could I send a picture  he said yes. Once I sent the pictures he instantly called me back told me he needed to see it further I told him I would leave work and head there. Jimmy told me to call him once outside. Once there Rob came to take a look at my car he said it looked like it was sprayed and he felt it was once he touched it. He went and got Jimmy and he agreed and said he believed it would come out 99%. He told me to bring the car back Friday morning which is today and he would take care of it for me. True to his word that's exactly what he did.  Jimmy was a gift from God not only did he fix my door and did an amazing job he did it for absolutely free. I'm not one to give reviews but with the service I received and the business I observed I had to give my review.. First let me start by the call made to them to see if they can help with my broken window that I woke up to... Dom answered and was straight to the point, make, model, and if I have a claim open with my car insurance.. told me to come right in and they will take care of everything. They sure did! As soon as I get there Dom greeted me and stopped in the middle of his lunch to come out and inspect the car, did not make me wait.. explained all that would be done with an estimated time... he then directed me to Rob who takes care of the claim thru my insurance and ordered my exact glass, he is an expert and very professional walked me thru the whole process, even took my baby's car seat and cleaned it thoroughly.. While I waited Jimmy (owner) greeted me and offered me food and beverage while I wait.. ( I must say the ravioli was delicious). Jimmy then explained how the glass is so tiny that he advised even after they vacuumed and wiped down for me to wash my baby's car seat again to make sure there is no glass that is left , he showed concern for the safety of my child. Now while I waited I observed the office and the shop, I was pleasantly surprised that a collision shop was this clean and organized.. they even have an extensive filing system.. full house they were very busy and still greeted all customers with a smile and very professional.. every customer must of said thank you over and over because they were all happy with the service... Pat, Rob and Dom checked on me thru my wait and kept me updated thru the process.. On 10th October 2013, My friend and I was involved in an auto accident without injuries. I called 911 and was awaiting the police because the both vehicles were drivable. Two trucks showed up from FS Towing D/B/A Sonny's Collision Specialist, 1st tow truck license number NY Registration plate 19930TW and NY Registration plate 31077TW. I took pictures of their plate because I asked them if the police officers from the precinct ask them to respond. They stated that they were friends of the other driver involved in the incident. I asked the driver, he stated he never heard of them. Remarkable when the police car from the 102 precinct showed up they took off quickly. I called the office to ask if this was normal procedures to show up before the police were called, their only response was I a cop?. The accident report was filed and the police car released us to continue our travels, about 5 blocks away from the accident a grey color Toyota Camry pulled up along side of us and the driver stated, I got your license plate. He was recognized my me by one of the two drivers from the tow truck company previously described. I feel threatened and scared for my life because of his treating nature, therefore I am filing this compliant. I wish to file an official complaint on this company because they are showing up prior to the NYPD request for DARP tow is requested and threating me because I ask questions to why they are here These are the lowest life of people and show be put out of business....... Their only question was, are you a cop......... That is the questions that guilty people ask..... I bought a 2015 wrx 3 months ago. It was hit in the middle of the night - the whole drivers side had damage from bumper to bumper. Pat was amazing and answered every question and helped walk me through everything. He called me when accessing the damage. Apparently my cars last accident was not fixed correctly. He showed me explained it all and gave me good advice. Putting the car back together would prove to be difficult with this pre-existing damage. Jimmy worked on the damage that had nothing to do with this claim! They couldn't in good conscience leave the car in that condition, I couldn't believe it, so grateful! Everything concerning this was explained to me in detail as well as where I should go from here. Also my fender badges were dipped, they dipped the new ones for me before installing. My new plates came while they had it, they installed the plates and the new registration sticker. The customer service fantastic! Even without any of this the work completed on my cars damage was second to none. If you're in New York, this is where you want to be if you find yourself in an unfortunate situation. The body work was great, paint was flawless and the detail job tied everything together and brought the paint back to life. You can really see and feel the passion in their work. Service and work at this level is hard to find these days especially in this field. I'm happy I was recommended and I would come back 10/10. Some before and after pics attached. STELLAR SERVICE AND CREW! Jimmy and the crew are the most honest and reliable people I have ever met! I was starting to lose all hope in any mechanic until I was referred to Sonny's! My Kia Sorrento has had major clunking issues in the front end for months... had strut mounts put in, which was what a TOP MECHANIC SAID IT WAS... well after all that $$ and rental fees to boot, the clunk was worse than ever!! I was beyond upset and the clunking kept getting worse with time... than the passenger side front door wouldn't open from the outside... I wanted to leave this car on the side of the road and walk at this point!! I love love my car but just felt I hit a brick wall!! On Tuesday I decided to give Sonny's a try, I mean I had nothing to lose!! I was informed within 1 day it was my sway bar links making the clunking noise and the door needed a new handle assembly and was told "NO BIG DEAL" I also asked for a full detail and new tires(being I was riding on snow tires for 2 years and had no idea!) Well I got my baby back today and I HONESTLY CAN SAY, I FEEL LIKE IM IN A BRAND NEW CAR!! NOT ONLY IS SHE SPOTLESS INSIDE AND OUT, SHE RIDES LIKE A DREAM!! I Purposely went down the worst street in town and IT WAS SMOOTH AS SILK IN MY "NEW CAR!" NOT TO MENTION, THEY ARE EXTREMELY AFFORDABLE!! Can't overstate how pleased and impressed I was by my experience with Sonny's Collision. First, not only did they do a perfect job on the work I asked them to do (when I picked up my car, it was like the damage had never happened)--they also did additional work they didn't even charge me for, fixing another dent, replacing a piece that had fallen off in the front of my car, and replacing/fixing the cargo net in the back of the car. And they had my car cleaned and waxed (it hadn't looked that good in years!) and, when I picked it up, included multiple extra gifts (a planner, a coffee container, etc.) and a $100 coupon for future work. Second, despite doing so much work, they charged me about half of what I expected to pay. They quoted an extremely low price at the beginning of the process, which I assumed would easily go up as they did more stuff, but the price at the end was exactly the same as what they quoted at the beginning--and incredibly low for the amount of work being done. Lastly, they were extremely easy and pleasant to work with. When I dropped off my car, they gave me a ride home. They were always polite, friendly, and helpful in person and over the phone. And at every point in the process, they were completely reliable and trustworthy. Again, can't recommend them highly enough. read more

Soooo, this place is AWESOME. I was referred by a close friend of my husband after being side swiped by a yellow cab in the city.I was nervous, never needed a collision shop before, but with all the rumors I've heard I had a bad impression about shops in general. From the time I walked in Sonny's I was greeted by everyone and Frank introduced himself and asked if I wanted something to drink, asked if I was okay and took me to the seating area. I was looking around, the place was clean and bright which matters a lot to me. I felt like I had a bad day and came home to a family of care, concern and assurance. They made my 2014 KIA Cadenza come back to new. My car was looking good outside and no one could tell where the damage was and the inside was looking good from being detailed and smelling good like roses LOL. I had a thank you letter in an envelope in the seat, nice flashlight key-chain on my keys, small mat on my dashboard and a mug in my cup holder. I didn't expect non of this and I was so grateful for the little trinkets, but most of all the customer service, assurance and care I received from Sonny's.
