I haven't had my fingerprints taken in years and the last time, I think I went to the sheriff's office in Marin County and had to return because my prints weren't clear enough. They offer walk-in LiveScan services and the small storefront on the east side of 4th Street was quiet when I dropped by this afternoon. The two employees were chatting pleasantly and greeted me right away when I entered. Rachel spotted the forms in my hand and guessed correctly that I was there to have my fingerprints taken. Sure enough, like I've experienced before, the first try was unsuccessful. I don't have pronounced ridges on my fingers apparently, but they had a gel that she asked me to rub on my hands and the 30 seconds later we were good to go. Second time was the charm! I'm happy to report that my school covered the costs, so I wasn't privy to the charges, but I was in and out in under 10 minutes. I also checked and found that they offer private mailbox services and can ship via UPS, FedEx and DHL, so the next time that I'm on that side of town, I'll definitely remember them!

Lester, in response to your reply, your associate was rude and defensive from the moment I called,…read moreI even thought I had a wrong number with her monotone and rude way of answering the phone and had to call back. I didn't even have time to press her for an answer. She hung up on me. You must not have read my last message to you three weeks ago as I had stated that I didn't care to point the blame at anyone as your employee was rudely defending herself and denying everything. I simply wanted to know what the next steps would be and how to solve this problem but she hung up before I could finish asking that. Then refused to answer when I called back. The last known whereabouts of that package was at your store. You told me in a private message that it was picked up at 2:30 pm but you refused to show me receipts or proof that it was picked up. You failed to answer the questions I had asked in those private messages. You failed to follow up with me to try to de-escalate this problem. But your concern about your associates feelings rather than a customer's satisfaction is very telling. I had every right to be upset. The representative from the FedEx office that I spoke with today even confirmed that you let that package sit there for three weeks. Seems like she knew you've done something like that before. Yes, this case is closed. Mystery solved. You kept our package in your office until two days ago. You can deny it all again and gaslight, but that just makes you look even worse. Please do not reply to me again. *************** I am updating my previous review because I now know what actually happened to our shipment. It's a shame that I had to find out this information on my own rather than from Lester and his associates. A FedEx 2Day envelope containing vehicle registration tags was dropped off at this location on June 16. It was supposed to arrive on June 18 but wasn't delivered until July 9. During that time, my husband and I drove the vehicle from Las Vegas to Boston with expired registration tags because the tags never arrived. We carried DMV paperwork throughout the trip and worried about being stopped in multiple states. While we were traveling, I called this location to ask why the package had not moved. Instead of looking into it, the employee was dismissive, defensive, rude, and abruptly ended the call. After the envelope was finally delivered, I contacted FedEx directly. The representative investigated the shipment and informed me that the package had never left this office and was not picked up until July 7. She also had to apologize on behalf of this office and that a payment was made for $70 for two-day shipping and received it more than three weeks later. The delay itself was bad enough. Being dismissed when I called seeking help was even worse. Had someone taken a few minutes to investigate instead of acting defensive and more concerned about their associate being questioned and ending the conversation, we would have had answers weeks earlier.

I never had a passport before so I needed more than just a renewal. Passport Depot was incredible at making sure I had all the right documents, setting up appointments with the Postal Service, and got me my passport a week earlier than expected. Huge lift off my shoulders, the team was nice and professional. I highly recommend using Passport Depot!

Let's be honest we never keep track of when our passport expires. Then when you suddenly book a last minute trip, you notice you're passport has expired and you're franticly trying to see how you can get it renewed before your trip. Michael and Christine take all the stress of getting an appointment and filling out paperwork for you. They expedite and streamline the renewal process for you, saving you time and stress. When you're handing over your passport to an agency, you want to make sure that they are professional, trustworthy, reliable and that everything will be handled with care and on time. They also can help you with travel Visa's and can answer any questions you may have. When I was renewing an expire passport for my mom recently, I also noticed that they have a passport card available now that works as a secondary ID, or for domestic travel if you don't have a real ID. Working with them for our passport renewals has given us peace of mind that everything will be handled properly for us in time. Great customer service. Would highly recommend.

The officers at the front entrance were pleasant and patient. The receptionist at the third floor where the office was at took down our appointment number and gave us a number instantly. We walked up to the first window where all documents were checked and told to have a seat. We were called to a window in less than five minutes. The process was completed within ten minutes. We were told to come back at 3:00 to pick up her passport. They allowed us to line up at 2:45 and had the passport in hand by 3:00. I complimented multiple times that they had a great system. I had went back in 2018 and got in line at 6:00AM. During a time where walk in were still taken. That was a 3 hour wait until I got to the window. This process from when we entered to when it was complete took a total of 25 minutes. It took longer to find parking than to get the passport application done. It's still best to be prepared. Paperwork in order, pictures taken beforehand. They only take contactless payment and not money orders or checks. Very simple, very seamless. Salute to the SF passport agency and all the federal officers at the door.

I do not leave negative reviews, but in this case, I am hoping to save others their time and money…read more I had an old picture of my grandfather and great grandfather that I wanted re-printed as well as an audio cassette of my mother interviewing my grandfather about his life. Both have been truly disappointing. The picture reprint is terrible quality, completely different coloring, and less clear than the original. I went back twice, to have them try to get a closer match. That was some improvement, but it did not at all match the original. I ended up paying for the pictures (with a discount for my trouble) and taking them to a different lab which was able to match the picture exactly in the first go. When I went back to a one to show them the quality of reprint I expected, and to request a refund, they were unable to do so and directed me to a manager, who I could email from their website. As for the tape recording, I received a call that the tape needed to be repaired for an additional fee. No problem there. After about a week, and a $43 charge, I excitedly brought the digital file home, only to find there was nothing more than 45 seconds of recording. Nobody mentioned how little time they were able to transfer at any point in this experience! I returned to the store, and they said they would try again, at which time they were able to get a full hour of recording. Wonderful! Well, what was to be a special birthday present for my mom, was a complete other family's recording, not my tape! So, FOR A THIRD TIME, I brought the tape back, for them to try again. Once again, I went home, only to find under a minute of recording. I called explaining my disappointment and requesting a refund. I was told the manager would call back, but I never received a call. I have now gone in to request a refund, and was directed to email the manager. The other company I used for my picture reprint, (which, in the first try, came back exactly how I would expect!) said they would absolutely let a client know that there was only a short amount of recording, before proceeding to create a digital file and would not charge anything unless the client wanted to move forward. Even then, they would only charge for the amount of tape they could transfer, not a while "blank" tape. I will update this review if and when I hear back. But for now, this has been an incredibly disappointing experience- Most disappointing is that none of this was ready for my mom's 85th birthday, which was the whole point of it all. What a waste of time and money

Yes, it's lovely to visit the postcard-perfect wineries surrounded by real live vines, but when a trip to the country isn't realistic, you can pay a visit to Vintner's Square and taste the same heavenly juice from multiple wineries in an ultra-casual setting. Luckily, my best friend lives down the street so we don't even need a designated driver. Perks! MJ Lords, Sheldon, and Krutz share a nice space with full barrels lining the walls, while D'Argenzio has their own tasting room (and cafe?) next door. It's not uncommon for the winemaker to be hanging around, and it's amazing how much you can learn while drinking with the boss! The coolest part is knowing these are small production wines, typically less than 100 cases each. So if you fall in love with a certain bottle, you can take it home knowing it's truly a work of hand-man art. Luscious, liquid craftsmanship at it's best. How can you say no to that?
