Absolutely one of the tender and juiciest steak I have tried so far, definitely grass feed meat. Freshly cut fillet mignon with mashed potatoes and asparagus as a side orders. The costumer service was really fast. We basically had more than 3 ppl who served us. Patio is not enormous, but many high stand umbrellas , chairs, and tables, a huge bar stand as well. Overall was a high standard food quality with minimal low costumer service. Prices compare to the quality and portions way much reasonable. Appreciate it! Must you all come and try! read more

Absolute trash. The reviews looked great, but they must've been paid off lol. Eating out is supposed to be an "experience" where you have a great time and chat over good food. All we could do was chat about how terrible the food was. We ordered the NY strip medium rare and got a rare flavorless piece of tough meat. The potatoes served with it tasted like cardboard. We also got the Parppardelle with over cooked shrimp and flavorless "sauce" (basically water). The overall ambiance was okay but the service was also "okay." Not personable at all. The chef forgot where the salt was and gave us a completely overpriced, flavorless meal. Don't go here. Don't worry.., we tipped 25%, but we definitely won't be back. read more

Came here for fathers day. I understand things at restaurants are a little hectic due to COVID, trying to operate with all the new rules and restrictions. My issues have nothing to do with waiting, service, fact we got seated for almost 30 mins, apps brought and had to wait for silverware still, or everyone who got sat after us got there main food before us while we waited for almost a hour after ordering. Things happen, I get it. its more quality of food. The pros: drinks were very good, and extremely reasonably priced. I'd def come back for a martini. The food, on the other hand, wasn't as great this time. Calamari, while the breading was fantastic, the meat itself was way too chewy. Also, I couldn't tell if it was plastic or the spine from the calamari I bit into, that either way should have been removed. The filet I ordered (Medium- Rare) was black & blue, with the silver skin still left on. Good flavor, but def not cooked to temp or trimmed properly. Could have been a off day,it was extremely busy and seemed we weren't the only table experiencing some of the same things. Wish the best! read more

The ambiance and service here was excellent! It's in a great location, has a small parking lot. Our waiter was very kind, cleared plates quickly, etc. But the food...is not good. I thought I was going to be WOWed but it was underwhelming and bland. Beef was overcooked and the sauce/gravy was flavorless. The green beans were undercooked. Our potatoes, we had 4 petite potatoes. Four.... The bread was dry, maybe it was from the day before? The creme brulee barely had any sugar on it and it didn't have that crunch when you tap it with the spoon. And it was room temperature, creme brulee should be cold. This had been sitting out a while. But it was the only dish that had great flavor. Will not be returning. read more

I planned a baby shower here. Everything was great . They let me bring decorations, I pre-ordered champagne and appetizers, the service was excellent and so was the food. Came here for Happy Hour food and drinks. The restaurant's website Happy Hour menu is not updated came for the oysters (8) which was $19 not $15. The mignonette was very spicy and overpowered the oysters. My guess is they used their Himalayan spices as a base. read more

Sonoma Grille was great. We recently held a private party utilizing their patio area, which was created special ambiance with cafe lighting and garden greenery. The food was excellent and all went smoothly. I had the salmon, my husband loved the chicken, but the hangar steak also had rave reviews from our guests. Loved the flatbread and creme brulee. The host and staff were friendly and accommodating throughout. what a horrible waste of $200.00! Our first waiter introduced himself and never returned! I flagged down Miguel another waiter and he took care of us. His service was impeccable but the food was horrible. The $95.00 warm seafood platter was disgusting. Not only was it not fresh seafood but it was over cooked and grossly seasoned. Whoa, there are so many things on the menu that I wanted to try! That's always a good sign. This place is highly lauded by the people of Sonoma, as stated on their Certificate for being a Best Seafood Restaurant for People's Choice. The server allowed my support dog to dine with us. We came on a Wednesday night and waited about 20 minutes for our table. We ordered: WILD KING SALMON (3/5): Oh man, I was definitely disappointed by this dish. While it was beautifully cooked (rare, the way I like it), the flavor was just not my cup of tea. I was not a fan at all of the spices they used. What a shame that a tender piece of salmon so perfectly cooked would taste so bad. I did enjoy the tiny pieces of butternut squash though. Wish there was more. LAMB SHANK (4/5): The protein was HUGE and definitely worth the $29 price tag that it came with. While I enjoyed the meat, I was a bigger fan of the saffron risotto that it sat on top of. The risotto was perfect, and cooked to a beautiful chewy texture, while still being soft. I recommend! HOMEMADE SAFFRON PAPPARDELLE (3/5): If you like this kind of pasta, then you'd like this dish. I, however, am a fan of creamy af pasta so this was too bland for my taste. My sister LOVED it however. The saffron tasted more like butter, and gave it a subtle umami flavor. I like my pasta drenched in cheesy creamy artery clogging goodness, but that's just me. SOUP OF THE DAY - LOBSTER BISQUE (5/5): My favorite order. The soup was so rich and so flavorful. The texture was so smooth that I felt like I was inhaling liquid silk. CREME BRULEE (4/5): Extremely soft and yummy! The top layer of crystallized sugar was very sticky though, and stuck to my teeth. I loved this as a dessert. We ordered one for the family and devoured it in seconds. 5 Stars!! We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Sonoma Grille yesterday. Shrimp tacos were on the days special menu. So, so good! and a healthy serving amount as well. The burger was "the best I've had in a long time" and I had a bowl of tomato soup which was perfectly delicious. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. We came here on a whim on an outing on Father's Day. It looked empty, but lovely, so we went for it. The space is nice. We sat at the bar due to the high number of impending reservations (we arrived just before 5.) Starting with cons, since it is below my usual rating: - pricy! But hey, it's just off the square in Sonoma, so it's expected. - they say on their website and top of the menu that they are steak, seafood, and more, but it is mostly seafood. There was one steak on the dinner menu and no other beef items at all. So selection was not great. - our waiter service was terrible. Our waiter was dry and not personable at all, but sometimes that happens. He sadly proved to only get worse. Not exaggerating when I say, everything we asked for... he simply did not do. We handled for a high chair; never brought it. We asked for him to take a family photo (father's day); he said, "yeah in a second," but then never did. He asked if we'd like our check, and we said yes, but then he didn't come back to our table for 10 more minutes. We asked for the ticket again and he said he'd bring it, so I left to feed our baby while my husband and older daughter waited. I waited outside with our daughter for about 20 more minutes. My husband was Irritated because he had to go find a manager to get the bill to pay, after the two other exchanges with our server. Strange! We only ordered two cocktails and two apps, so maybe he thought we weren't worth much, as we wouldn't have a big tab and thus not a big tip? Maybe he was having a hard day? Maybe he was tired from a long shift? I don't know. I will say, our girls were well behaved. We were polite and used manners in our requests to him. Yes, we had only a few items, but we were walks in, seated in the designated bar area. I still think for the prices we were paying and the feel of the establishment, we should have gotten better service. Keep in mind, it was not very busy and there was no happy hour due to Father's Day, so I am assuming that it was not a super stressful time, during our visit. Pros: - Our cocktails were good and pretty! (The conscious cosmo for me- it had a fresh flower float.) - the charcuterie board was delightful. It had lots of food options. - the location is prime. My husband and I would often come in casually for appetizers, lunch or dinner when up in Sonoma on the weekends and ended up deciding to do our rehearsal dinner there which was fantastic. Their outdoor garden patio was the perfect place to celebrate and comfortably seated 45+ people. Their drinks and food are always so yummy (the calamari is a favorite of ours) and their staff is truly so kind. Amazing outside patio, with warm heaters and its own entrance from the parking lot, unfortunately, no dogs are allowed. Went there last minute for dinner with my husband and pops. Sat outside and because the weather was a bit chilly, we got the heater turned on and it definitely did its job by keeping us toasty! I got pasta, very delicious and tasty. Got my vodka and soda, nothing to complain about, because it never fails to keep me happy! However, my whole attention went to what my husband and pops ordered which was lobster. Amazing and buttery lobster!!! Of course they both destroyed their lobsters with tons of pleasure on their faces. My husband wants to come back and I don't blame him! In my mind if I'm paying for bread it should be warm. This bread was cold and therefore not great. Again, all of the food was good. The calamari, seafood pasta, risotto - all of it. We had an amazing experience on the back patio. They seated us in the rear by a fountain. It was our anniversary they started us off with complementary glass of champagne. We had the smoked salmon carpaccio, which was excellent our cocktails were top-notch they must have a very experienced high level bartender, my wife had the red snapper, which was probably the best she's ever had and I had an amazing outstanding fillet. We were looking for a nice sit down restaurant for lunch that could satisfy our palates. Found it! A small but varied menu with lunch specials. We opted for the prawn salad, served on a bed of baby kale with candied walnut, pears and blue cheese. Delicious, no skimping on any part and nicely dressed with a raspberry vinaigrette - went very nicely with a glass of champagne. We also had the grilled chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon on a ciabatta. Perfect portion with a nice size ciabatta- not a 'bread-wich'. Service was attentive but not obtrusive.
