The fact that EVERY time you go to an SQL site the waiting room is packed says a lot. They don't have enough locations, they don't have enough staff, and they are inefficient. Phlebotomists should not be spending time figuring out who is next. The front staff should keep that going so phlebotomists can get through more customers. It's an absolute joke to say you can get an appointment. All of the appointments for every location is consistently booked for 2+ weeks out. Often you need to get lab work more urgently than that. So, that leaves you waiting over an hour...on a good day...and that's if you arrive when they open! This location is near Sun Lakes and probably should have more capacity and more plebotomists working to meet the needs of the community. Some of us actually have to go to work and can't sit waiting for hours just to get a lab draw! If my insurance didn't require I use SQL, I would be headed elsewhere. The location is clean. The staff is friendly. They are just slow and understaffed fir what this location needs. It feels as if they KNOW most people have no choice but to use SQL due to insurance restrictions and therefore they have no motivation to offer a better service. read more

Terrible experience. I had to take my two daughters for a blood draw, they made a mistake with the amount of blood needed for each and ended up taking a lot more blood than what was really needed and had my 3 year old crying there because of that mistake, and ended up tossing the excess draw that was taken. Tried several times with my 10-month old and never got the vein. Useless. This was a waste of blood, terrible experience and wasn't even able to get the draw from my other daughter. They did not read the paperwork to make sure they were taking the right test to the right child. There is no room for mistakes when it comes to healthcare, let alone when it's for children. Warning...This company will mess up your credit. I did not know I had a bill from them until I got a "no payment" on my credit report. I went to the website and it did not show a bill. I was in the office last month and no one said I had a bill. After seeing a collection agency on my credit report, I called them and they said I had an unpaid balance from Sonora Quest and they reported it to the credit agencies. I had a appointment at 12:00 today at Sonora quest in Sun Lakes. The waiting room was crowded and people were standing even though we have a pandemic. I waited outside for half hour went in to ask how long and was to soon. waited another half hour went back in and was told they texted you and no one responded. Showed them my phone that I did not receive a text and they said they would take my paper work but would be another half hour to 45 minutes. I than walked out. read more

One of the friendliest places I've been. The receptionist was so very nice and efficient. Answered all my questions with a genuine smile on her face. The technician drawing my blood was excellent- no bruising for me! At 8:00am I only had to wait a few minutes before being called back. Despite being 25 mins from my house I will make this my go to lab. read more

I was supposed to get labs done for my pregnancy. I walked in 15 minutes before they closed because of some issues regarding a babysitter for my daughter.. I tried to apologize and lighten the mood the two ladies at the front desk looked at each other looked at me and didn't say anything just pointed at the sign in book and I handed her my paperwork and she took a big EXHALE like I was wasting her time!! Scheduled appointment, no wait time. 28 June 2018 The moment I walked through the door a friendly greeting was given by both Tanya and Janine. Check-in was easy and quick with the assistance of these two delightful women. As receptionist's, it is their attitude that often sets the tone for the rest of ones appointment. During check-in I received a friendly smile and greeting from another staff member named Jenny. My personal Lab/Draw Technician was Melissa T. What a refreshingly professional attitude this young lady has. I am admittedly needle shy. At 60+ years young, this was by far, hands down the best draw experience I have ever had, truly. Thank you to each of these ladies for making my appointment a pleasant one. In closing, this facility was immaculate both inside and out. Cleanliness is paramount when it comes to patient Diagnostic Labs and that of their staff. Should the need arise, I would not hesitate to schedule another appointment at this location. I have to get my blood drawn once a month because of the medication I'm on. It's been like this for two years. So I have more experience with bloodwork and labs than anyone I know. Every month I go to this location. The staff is ALWAYS kind, I don't know where all these other reviews are coming from. Last time I was there, a child was lost and crying because couldn't find his mommy, and the front desk lady immediately jumped into action and was extremely kind and gentle, and helped the kid find his mom (who was just in the bathroom). The wait IS long, roughly an hour or so without an appointment, but I've been to other labs and the wait is like this across the valley. I HAVE noticed that a LOT of older folks come in, ignore the kiosk right there and try to check in with the front desk lady, and she has to redirect them to the kiosk. Maybe they take this as being rude? I've never seen the staff be 'mean' about it, though. Just a simple redirection. Anyways. The staff is always kind, the phlebotomist are usually quick and in all of my visits I've never had a problem with them not finding a vein or being painful with it. A couple of them are great with talking and story-telling and keeping you distracted. Great labs, and I'll always go here for my bloodwork. read more

This place sucks bad 40 to 50 min wait and then an hour for lunch WHAT a JOKE.. Why even open. If you have a job. You have just given up 2 hours of pay. And I get a comment from the owner. The most inconsistent and rude front desk staff I have ever experienced at any medical facility. Incapable of multitasking. They act like you should know their rules. Dropping off labs for an elderly relative, one time told to step through a different door, they refused to look in the bag to see if everything is in order. Called after 3 pm to tell me that they did not have the lab order...which was in the bag. The lock their doors at 3. They do not answer their phone at this location, and if you do get through their voice mail is full. It turns out the samples were incomplete. Repeated the process, this time the person at the counter took forever to staple and file the papers for the previous person in line, and then told me to have a seat for 5-10 min when I would be called up to show my relative's insurance card and ID. They had never asked for that for a drop off before. Had to leave to get those documents, upon my return the desk staff ignored me. A different staff member saw what was going on and took care of my drop off. The desk staff needs to be fired. read more

Horrible customer service. Front desk staff os very rude and doea not want to speak to the customers. They want you to only communicate with the iPad. This office closes at 3pm. I stepped outside to take a call rather than speak in the waiting room. They did not let me back in! Make sure to be in the waiting room before 2:50 or they will lock you out. After reading the reviews, my expectations were very low. I didn't have an appointment, so I arrived 20 minutes before the lab opened. Of course about 12 other people had the same idea I had so I figured I was in for a very long wait. The doors opened on time and the line of about 20 of us filed in. There were two employees helping everyone check in and I can tell you it couldn't have gone any smoother. They were extremely helpful with each person checking in, especially the elderly who were having a difficult time with the kiosk. I checked in and took a seat ready for a long wait. After about 30 minutes my name was called to turn in my paperwork and insurance card. The girl at the counter was extremely nice (I can't remember her name). I returned to my seat again thinking this was going to be a long wait. The waiting room was now just about full. After about 10 minutes my name was called by Janine, who was awesome and very friendly. She drew my blood with hardly a tear from my eyes (I hate needles) and I was out of there in less then an hour from my arrival. I was extremely happy with the entire process. read more

I always go to this site. The girls here are amazing and treat me like I am so Important. They are always so professional and so efficient. I don't understand the bad reviews here? I'm sure they were rude to the staff and the staff is just sticking up for themselves. I have been in there when people are yelling at the staff and trowing temper tantrums. If you act like an adult then guess what? you get treated like an adult. These girls I'm sure go through a lot with the demographics here. I know I live here and I see the old rich spoiled snow birds treat everyone like shit! I give props to the staff here they are amazing and so sweet to me but I do treat them with respect so I get respect it back! read more

If I could give my experience at this Sonora Quest lab location a negative rating I would! I have had good experiences before with other locations but needed an appointment this time. Everything was professional until I was called back for my labs. The technician at first was direct and short in her presentation when directing me to a room. When she came in I verified my information then asked how much she'd be taking. I tried explaining that I have history of passing out due to low blood sugar but she didn't even give attention to my medical needs. Instead she spoke over me continuing to verify my information then having me sign. I can't believe how uncaring and unprofessional this technician appeared to be. I get that their goal is time efficiency but at the cost of some simple bedside manner? Ridiculous, I will never come back to this location again! I will go out of way to go to a location that's more professional. read more
