My family ate here one night. We got tacos, burritos and a shrimp cocktail. Everything was delicious. The service was good and the restaurant was clean and decorated nicely. We definitely recommend this place and will be back again.

I got myself a Mas Macho Burrito. And...it is "muy macho" indeed! In fact, I think this is the biggest burrito they have. A huge burrito just waiting for you to unwrap and devour it! You can even choose between beef and chicken! You will be amazed at how much there actually is in it! Generous serving! I even got complimentary chips with spicy salsas (well...maybe not spicy if you have a huge tolerance for spicy foods haha). Come hungry and leave satisfied! The place itself actually looks very spacious because it wasn't crowded with available seating. There seems to be a lot of walking space inside the restaurant. Not upscale, but spacious. Visit sometime!

Nice spot in the neighborhood which offers a wide selection of burritos, tacos and many more! Indoor and outdoor seating is available for your picking You can order at the counter to take away, or take a seat to order, then pay at the counter when you're done with your taqueria feast Definitely recommend the combos, tasty and quick service Would have liked to been offered more chips and salsa for a table of 3

Amazing food The lingua tacos are awesome even for breakfast . Is a nice little family business very friendly look forward to coming back here while on my trip to Sonoma, California. Try the green salsa it is really good and spicy, but not too spicy

Great tasting burritos at a reasonable price. Beef and chicken burritos are our favorites. Red salsa has good heat and flavor.

Sonora is the place to go in San Rafael for a delicious burrito, tacos, etc. I have been going here for years and nothing changes (in a good way). Service is definitely a little more laidback, which might bother some people but it's not a big deal to me. Just know you might need to ask for things and might have to wait a while if it's super busy, but the food is SO worth it! Indoor or outdoor table seating is available and there is also a cute little bar area inside. In my opinion, the burrito is the best item here and my usual go-to. I usually would get the chicken burrito but in an effort to eat less meat lately, I tried the veggie burrito. Wasn't my favorite - I assumed it just wouldn't have meat and would be just rice, beans, guac, maybe some peppers or onions. Nope! It had broccoli, carrots and zucchini in it. As you can see from my photos, I pretty much just ate around them. The good news and the last thing I was going to mention is that the burritos are so massive that even avoiding half of the ingredients in the burrito, I was able to fill myself up on the rice, beans, guac and some of the tortilla! Next time would just get a rice, beans, guac burrito I guess! Anyways the food is delicious and I just made a weird choice last time.

This was my first time here. The macho burrito was good. The interior is roomy and reminiscent of outdoor setting. Service was pleasant.

That said, I've been here twice and unfortunately had the same experience both times. The first visit, I ordered a regular chicken burrito, and it was pretty bland. I figured it might have just been an off day, so I gave them another try and ordered a super burrito the second time. Sadly, it was also bland--even with sour cream and guacamole, which I didn't really see or taste. Their burritos are long but not very thick, and flavor-wise they just didn't hit for me. I was hoping for something more seasoned and bold. I truly hope this is taken as constructive feedback, because I do want local spots like this to succeed. The service is good, and the people are kind--it's just the food that needs more flavor. Unfortunately, based on my experiences, I can't recommend it and probably won't be returning, but I wish them the best and hope they continue improving.

This spot seems more of a tequila bar that serves food rather than a restaurant setting. For food, we ordered the fish tacos, shrimp ceviche and taquitos. Their fish tacos were good! That green salsa (avocado/chiles) that comes with it was very spicy. Shrimp ceviche on the other hand was whole pieces of cooked shrimp halved lengthwise with cut up avocado and cucumber. I have had better. The taquitos were okay, the exterior tortillas were a bit overcooked. Was impressed with the selection of tequilas however. Would recommend the anejo flight. I'm not a huge tequila expert, but discovered that I like El Tesoro Anejo, very smooth! Service was attentive and our server went out of his way to explain the difference between the various flights. I would come back to try the tequila again for sure!

Now, it looks like every other restaurant in Marin. The drinks are still great and that green ghost pepper salsa is fire. Pixels next door is fun for tipsy gaming.

The staff was super friendly and welcoming. It's like a cute little burger shop but for pupusas. The vibes are great. Clearly a lot of regulars here, stones throw from Marin Civic Center. But anyhow, yes, the smell, the happy chatter, the bright windows, lots of little tables, very clean, it just feels right. I don't know Blankita but I can tell she's great. I got three pupusas, cheese and bean, revueltas, and cheese and loroco made with rice flour instead of corn. All were excellent, 5-6 bucks a piece.
