Ok so I absolutely have to give a shout out to this amazing spa and the best massage therapist/aesthetician ever! My guy wanted to treat me with a massage and facial so I turned to yelp and I couldn't resist this place with all 5 star reviews... but let me tell you it's well deserved. They are taking all necessary precautions with covid including extra cleaning/disinfectant between customers as well as hand sanitizer and face masks before coming in. Davina really took the time to discuss my areas of concern and come up with a plan. I felt so relaxed it was like a magnet held me to the table. I had a combo that had a facial as part of it and me skin was glowing. Oh and BTW you get the FULL time on the table. My service time was 90 minutes and it was hands on for minimally that time. Not a great experience. I have a toddler and I have been dealing with a lot of stress at work lately. I went in for a nice relaxing massage to regenerate and do something nice for myself. The masseuse talked the entire time and basically told me how people, like myself, who used a groupon to try this place out are cheap and tip poorly. I spent my 75 minutes (which start when you walk in the door, not when the actual massage begins) listening to drama about her old boyfriends. I left more stressed than when I arrived. I know I'm like that 1 person that's giving a bad review but I'm really not exaggerating. Was impressed with their new client intake forms and Covid compliance documents sent via email. Tony was very friendly and accommodating while making an appointment. I found m way to a small spa, with a closed door but a lovely greeting sign about their desire to provide good control of their safety protocols. This gave me confidence, especially as this was one of my first visits out for any self-care in over a year - I've even been cutting my own hair. The rooms were cozy and peaceful and it smelled great. Carla followed my directions for my preferences and did an exceptional job on knots that had been building over the course of this tough year. There was just enough pressure and focus on really tight areas. She used a few techniques that gave me chills all the way down my spine. A friend of mine treated me too a massage and facial here, it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. The spa is locsted in a beautiful brick building right off Mill Ave. It's not one of those cheesy strip mall chain spas that typically focus on the quantity of customers over the quality of service. The customer service was excellent. We were greeted by 2 friendly people when we walked in, we fillled out a standard questionnaire, then they led us into the treatment rooms which were very cozy. The spa music that was playing was soothing so I started relaxing right away plus my massage therapist was Kevin who has a very calm energy so that helped too. After asking a few questions to make sure I don't have any medical issues, etc. we got started. Kevin can do deep tissue if that's what you prefer but I like a lighter touch and he applied the perfect amount of pressure. I could've easily fallen asleep it felt so good but I made myself stay awake to enjoy the whole experience. I've had other professional massages in the past where the therapist would kill time having me smell essential oils and other stuff that took away from the actual massage, Kevin doesn't waste any time, you definitely get every penny's worth, everything he did felt so good and relaxing, he has an amazing touch. The facial products he used smelled wonderful and left my face so dewy and soft. I think i found my new favorite spa. Fantastic place for your first massage or even average weekly massages! For being my first time at enduring a place like this, I received the outright most amazing experience. When I walked in the place was calming and decorated very fashionably to make the experience even greater. I was the only one there and my massage consisted of a 90 min full body massage and facial which lasted 2 1/2 hours. Immediately I felt the incredible calming energy in the building. This office is beautifully decorated and energetically maintained with clear intention for healing and restoration. Gorgeous artwork is displayed throughout the office offering a comforting atmosphere. At Sonoran Serenity Spa, there opportunities to receive massage, facials, hypnotherapy, energetic bodywork and so much more! During our 90 minute Signature Wellness Session, Gabi held a safe and nurturing space for my energy unwinding process. She truly honors the client's innate intelligence and allows for energy to move naturally, with ease and grace. At this time, I am very particular with who I permit to work with my energy field and my subconscious mind. Gabi is a practitioner I know I can trust to gently guide and hold space for my healing journey. My session touched on very deep emotional wounds, allowing my body to release and resolve trauma patterns. This type of sacred work was possible because Gabi maintained neutrality and gave me space to regulate without pushing any process. She allows time for the body to integrate and restore balance. She is thorough with her intake process to get a clear understanding of the root cause of presenting issues.
