My kids have been going here well over a year. At first very friendly when got money paid upfront by me and my insurance carrier at the time. When I fell behind on payments, due to being a single mom and Dad decided to stop paying child support, then, Sonoran decided to cancel all Saturday scheduled appointments for my children, knowing I couldn't take off work, being a single Mom and needed those appointments. They said they only give those to their best customers who are paid in full or are current on their bills. I said to them I am making monthly payments as seen below. They then said they put my kids on "maintenance" which I had no idea what that meant, then advised that they check the braces each month but do nothing to further their care, including refusing to replace broken brackets. HORRIBLE!!! Though they have already collected thousands of dollars from me and monthly payments towards the rest, they decided to stop treating my children! I put a post on FB but they deleted it as well as a couple other poor reviews I saw on there before they deleted them too. Everyone has helped me with any questions I have had about my braces. Both hygienists I have had have been really nice.

Worst customer service i have seen. If you are on a payment plan for braces you cant get Saturday appointments unless you pay in full and the put your kids on a maintenance plan. Which means they dont treat them or replace broken brackets. Just clean there braces and send them on there way. When i looked up the business and doctor or the dental board of Arizona i could not find either one. read more

Overall experience was good until, my treatment was completed. They shaped my teeth with filler to make them symmetrical however within 3 weeks the filler chipped mostly out. Keep in mind this was not do you chewing of bitting on anything incredibly hard. I tild them at my follow up and they told me this was just a complementray service to see my dentist. A few months later I was able to follow up with my dentist office. They then informed me of the cost and work and explained, I would need a new retainer as well which, was the significant cost of everything. Though I felt the orthodontistoffice should guaranteethere work I was okay with handling the cost to reshape but not a retainer as they just gave me one. I followed back up with the orthodontist and they again said it was only complementray even though they did the work in the first place which, is now leading to addtional cost not just for the filler but a pricey new retainer, just a short time of them providing me the orginal retainer and this is only do to the complementray service not being so well done. read more

I think this place is great! I just got my braces off and couldn't be happier with my results! Dr.Vu is so friendly and caring and a perfectionist! Which I loved, she wanted to make sure everything was perfect! The staff there is very friendly, they offer great payment options, they send you emails and text to remind you about your next appointment, overall a great experience. I met with one of the orthodontist here and she recommended to do veneers on my two front teeth and retainers on my bottom teeth. My initial appointment was to get braces and to go from there. Mind you I'm young I certainly do not want my teeth shaved down and the cost for just one veneer is crazy! I have a cross bite and it seemed like she really didn't really care to talk about what can be done to correct a cross bite and I know as an adult it's really hard to correct it. But for a consultation it wasn't brought up and again just went on about veneers. Seems like she has a deal with whoever she does business with veneers because that's really all she wanted to do. We have experience phase 1 with my daughter with another Orthodontist in San Diego & Dr. Shadow impressed me with her knowledge. Their staff makes you feel so comfortable. My wonderful experience with sonoran smile vs Western dental is on par with comparing a wormy apple to an entire glorious orchard. In case I wasn't clear enough, sonoran is the orchard lol If you choose sonoran for yourself or your child, you will not be sorry. Okay, so why? *They go out of their way to make new patients feel special. *They are flexible and work with you, your finances, and your insurance in a manner that has blown away any prior medical experience. *If you don't have insurance, they will work with you! They also have an agreement with a dentist that treats patients who dont have insurance. This dentist gives PHENOMENAL rates to sonoran smile patients. *They offer Saturday appointments. *The offices are clean, beautiful, and welcoming without the sterility. *They have child centers that give you somewhere you can have the kids while you're getting treatment, or where your child can hang out for an hour before or after their appt so you can run errands. *Your appointments are not rushed. They are patient, will happily listen to concerns, explain what they're doing, and answer questions. They don't rapid fire you through the appointment, they will take the time to do whatever your mouth/appliances need that day. OH and this is a big one: HURT FREE ZONE. Some discomfort is to be expected, but what you DON'T have to expect are nicks, jabs, rushed procedures where they yank, jerk, or pull too hard... Why? Because they pride themselves in their work and take the time to do it efficiently but humanely. *They have a cool point + reward system for kids. *The staff. Oh, the staff. We heard of Sonoran Smile Orthodontics through a teacher friend who posted on facebook about them and the great deal they offered. I had planned to get 3 estimates for my daughter but after visiting with Dr. Shadow and her team, I felt confident that it was the right place! I scheduled our first appointment right then and paid in full. I had taken my older daughter to a different Orthodontist and was not fully happy so I am hoping everything will turn out wonderful here.
