My daughter has been coming to R&P since she was 8 years old and had a complicated case. Absent adult teeth, an extra tooth coming in behind her two front teeth, gaps in her smile, you name it. Fast forward 6 years later and she is finally getting her braces off after 28 months of treatment! Yay, yay, yay! The first few years they were conservative and monitored her with X-rays every 6 months until all of her baby teeth fell out on their own. I was appreciative that they didn't rush her into braces. In fact, I went to another orthodontist for a second quote (which was comparable) and they wanted her to go to a regular dentist, get EIGHT teeth pulled, and have her come back to get braces on ASAP. She was 11 years old at the time and I felt like they were being aggressive and trying to lock us in by making it sound like it was urgent and not normal that she hadn't lost all her baby teeth yet. Feeling pressured by the other orthodontist, I went back to R&P, (even felt guilty I "cheated" on them) and told the Dr. what the other orthodontist told us, and they said they didn't see any need for her to have multiple tooth extractions and she was fine to wait. I felt so relieved and trusted them 100%! We waited and she ended up only needing one tooth out that was being stubborn, and she was able to get her braces on middle of 7th grade. She will need a bridge placed today at her regular dentist (Tempe Dental Care, which is awesome also, btw) and her smile will be complete! We are more than happy with the care and treatment here at R&P at both the Gilbert and Mesa locations. Everyone is super helpful, sweet, and professional. We financed her braces and her total treatment was just under $5k, given she had a complicated case. I definitely recommend this practice! So glad we chose them as out orthodontist. read more

I had my braces done here as teenager (age 15 to 16) and I was so happy to have picked this place. Everyone was so kind and the staff truly cared about making this experience go as smooth as they could make it. I only had braces on for a year, but in that year I would always get excited when it was time for my monthly visit. The office always had the best cookies and snacks in the waiting area. They also had cool incentives and would give out rewards. I received multiple movie passes and other little trinkets as well! Yay! I ALWAYS get compliments from dentists and even people that my teeth are perfectly straight! It's been about 8 years since I've had the braces off and my teeth still look good! I definitely recommend this office as you won't be disappointed! The orthodontists provide quality work and the staff is great! You will get perfect results! My parents did pay about $1500 more here then what they are paying for my sisters braces (at a different practice) but the service is incomparable. read more

ONE STAR IS TOO MUCH - We are extremely disappointed in our experience at this practice. We finally chose to take our daughter to a different practice to finish her treatment.  There are several reasons that brought us to this decision. First - The lack of communication about the treatment plan and progress being made. During the two and a half years of treatment the only conversations we have had with any staff member, other than scheduling or payments, we have had to ask for. During COVID only patients were allowed in the office, and even after the office reopened our daughter was called back to a chair alone and when she came out there was no update other than perhaps a short comment as the assistant returned to the back.  We finally started following her back in order to get some idea of how things were progressing, and had to stand against the wall at the foot of the chair in order to be out of the way.  Second - "Over Corrections" made during her treatment. During one appointment a staff member came to get me and said that "they made a mistake and over-corrected her bite, and it would take longer to move it back" When we have asked about the "over correction" we have been given several explanations. All of them unsatisfactory. Waste of so much time and SO MUCH MONEY!! read more

Great office with friendly and helpful staff. We met with Janelle for our first consultation and she was fabulous. Very helpful and answered all our questions. She has a bubbly personality that is delightful and makes you feel very welcomed in the office. We had braces put on and my son was nervous but the staff reassured him and when it was all over he said it wasn't bad at all. I love Rollins & Petersen! I just got done with my Invisalign, which I had been very nervous to get, and everyone at this office was great! They walked me through the process and everyone in the office is so kind. It's always a quick and easy in and out and they were really nice when I got stuck in traffic and called to say I was going to be a little late for an appointment. Also, my teeth look fabulous and I ended up being able to get them off several months earlier than I was expecting! If I had one small complaint about the office it would just be about their hours - mostly Monday through Thursday daytime hours, but their appointments don't go very late in the afternoon and they don't do appointments in the middle of the day when everyone goes to lunch. It was pretty hard with my schedule because I work Monday through Thursday 4 10-hour shifts, and they told me they reserve Friday appointments for emergencies, also not ever open on Saturdays. But, it is what it is and I assume most orthodontist offices probably have similar hours. Overall five stars and if I ever know anyone looking for an orthodontist in the east valley I will definitely be sending them this way!! read more

We love this orthodontist office!! After having a very different experience at a nearby office, we gave them a shot!! Never looked back! They are so inviting, kind, and honest. They give free consultations/ exrays every few months to my daughters who are getting close to time for braces. I have never felt like I was being sold anything. They talk through where we are at, and call to schedule our next appointment when the time comes. When we went in for the consultation Dr. Rollins gave us our options and I decided to do two phases of treatment instead of waiting until my daughter was in junior high. She got her braces installed on Wednesday afternoon and just before she went to sleep that night, a couple of her brackets came off. I was shocked and worried so I took her first thing the next morning to see what was going on. They saw her immediately and replaced her brackets. My daughter started with R&P when she was 10. The treatment plan was explained very clearly to us and it was followed just as it was set up. From the start we were told she would be done in about 18 months and even with a few months off due to quarantine, my daughter's braces were off in 18 months. We loved seeing both Dr. R and Dr. P. I really appreciated the fact that even though we didn't see the same dr every visit, the treatment plan continued flawlessly. Both Dr R and Dr P are completely in tune with each other and it was really impressive. Both Dr R and Dr P were so kind to my daughter and answered any questions I had along the way. It was also reassuring to know that I could ( and did) call when my daughter had a problem with her braces and they were able to assist over the phone or able to get us in quickly if an in person visit was needed. The staff was really good about working us in if we needed to make changes to appointments on short notice. It was also really nice to be taken in for appts on time and appts were completed quickly. Great office. What we appreciate most even before the dental work is their respect for patients and their parents shown by being on time with their schedule so that we can get on with our days like school, sports games, practice, dinner time etc. Second, our daughter has had as good of an experience as can be expected as a kid getting braces. The rewards system has helped immensely to motivate her to take care of this large responsibility. The reward system allows patients to gain rewards to use toward gift cards throughout their care. They can earn rewards by brushing and flossing, therefore getting good checkups from the dentist. Wearing their branded shirt to appointments. I have just finished my ortho treatment (well, just got my braces off). I have had the pleasure of seeing everyone one here for 33 months. I was a very VERY difficult case, so I got to spend more quality time with the wonderful staff and both doctors! Even better, as I get another 20ish months because my 12 year old just recently got his braces on. The staff, by far, are the most amazing group of ladies!! Each one has their own way of doing things, which is super fun. You get to know them pretty well by the end of your treatment. Everyone knows my name, and of course sings me the wonderful tune that I was named after :) (MY SHARONA) Each person here will spend the time with you and even hold your hand, if needed, like me..because I'm a HUGE baby!! Both Dr. Rollins & Dr. Peterson are not only VERY qualified and talented at their job, but have great senses of humor, which goes a loooonnngg way when you are a HUGE baby, like myself, or a young strong man like my son. We were recommended to go to Dr Rollins for braces a little over 2 years ago and we went in for his consultation within a few days of calling to schedule and they were able to put his braces on that day.
