Great attention to detail and not rushing service. Would likely return for another pedicure

I decided to support a Black Owned business to do my nails. But I feel like they did a Bait and…read moreSwitch. They were very unprofessional when I questioned why the total of my service came to $90 when I booked a service costing $70. I booked an " Acrylic Full Set with unlimited designs " and I was told the end result was " The Nudes with Nail Art overlay ". . I received pink acrylic powder with 4 total nails that have gold foil and silver flakes, which was in the description for what I booked. When I later contacted the owner by text she tried to tell me that the pink acrylic powder is considered a nude. Is pink acrylic not apart of an ACRYLIC full set? She also claimed that I was shown a key ring full of colors, which I wasn't. I was only shown the pink acrylic powder jar. I also told the nail tech that I booked " Acrylic Full set with unlimited designs " so she was aware of what I booked. . I wouldn't have chosen the first color that she showed me if that was to be considered "nude" and I would've then been charged an additional $20. . . I am very disappointed in the customer service I was given. I will NEVER AGAIN book with this business or send referrals.

I made an appointment for a gel manicure. The receptionist asked me for a credit card number to…read morehave on file. She said my card would not be charged. I arrived for my appointment and things went smoothly although the manicurist barely uttered a word to me. That's ok. As I checked out I was told there would be an additional charge of $10 to remove the old gel. That's the first I heard of that. I don't think it's fair to spring that on a client after the fact. I was asked if I wanted to charge the services but I opted to pay cash instead. I was assured I'd receive a statement via email. Fast forward to the next day and I see a charge on my credit card. I called and explained I paid cash and I was assured the charge would be credited and should show in a few days. I asked again for my statement to be emailed and confirmed my email address. To date I've received the credit to my credit card but if I hadn't noticed the charge would they have automatically credited my account? I was assured my card would not be charged, so why did they charge any services to it? To date I haven't received the emailed statement I was assured I'd receive. It's been over 3 weeks. The manicure was fine. The salon is beautiful. People were friendly and professional but sadly it did not go as I expected as far as payment.

I am a mother with no family here in this state to watch my kids and I will never leave my children with strangers. She suggested I take the last appointment of the day next time which would never work for me. There are plenty of places that do not treat you this way . I wish them the best, it's a beautiful spot, but what a turn off.
