You can still get great deals at Salvation Army. They even have sales according to the color of the tags. They've got lots of great vintage and retro stuff, as well as a funky selection of housewears. The store is a little shabby, and could use a good clean, but it's AUTHENTIC. Love it.

The store does not provide bags for your purchases, but you can buy a reusable Salvation Army bag for something like $1.25 -$1.50 per bag.

This INCOMPETENT MILLVILLE, NJ Goodwill has a terrible habit of using the wrong kind of tape on…read moreeverything. It's slapped across glassware, wood, plastic, even fabric -- and it ruins the products. The clear PACKING tape leaves residue, rips finishes and makes it impossible to carefully remove without damaging what you bought. On top of that, they're charging full retail (sometimes OVER RETAIL) prices for USED items that are already compromised by this over-zealous taping. Instead of helping people find affordable secondhand goods, they're destroying donations and overpricing them. Completely defeats the purpose of thrifting. I made every attempt to CAREFULLY remove their incorrect tape. See attached photos of $16.00 now-worthless, damaged Goodwill products. There are many other products that are incorrectly treated at this location similar to the attached photo. MILLVILLE, NJ Goodwill: Where Tape Is Stronger Than Customer Satisfaction. Apparently, this Goodwill thinks Scotch tape is a luxury feature. I was immediately told that I wasn't allowed to keep it with me and that the store needed to hold it instead. I was not comfortable handing over my valuables to a stranger, and I politely expressed that concern. What made the situation even more upsetting was that when I said the bag belonged to my mom, the issue suddenly disappeared and nothing more was said. The inconsistent treatment left me feeling singled out and unfairly targeted. The entire interaction made me feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, and frankly discriminated against. Policies should be applied consistently to every customer, not selectively. I left with a very negative impression of the business and would not recommend shopping here based on my experience.

This is a very cool little store. I've bought flowers made out of seashells, bouquets made out of…read morebuttons, bracelets made from twisted knitting needles, a hat made out of some technique called yo-yo knitting... I'm actually reviewing this shop because it's the awesomest hat ever and I love it. All found, upcycled, and hand-made things, and all one-of-a-kind. She has a shop on etsy too, also called "earthgatherings." There's not much IN Millville, so if you're ever there and she's open (weekends, mostly) you should stop by.
