I was happy to hear he accepts insurance, mine being Blue Cross. I was scheduled for surgery November 21st. Here's what Dr Sooreena Fatehchehr performed: Hysteroscopy, Cystoscopy and Laparoscopy were performed. Doctor Fatehchehr is said to be a very reputable UroGyn. I have read some great reviews and have seen some of his work on endometriosis. For those patients that are fortunate to get the best out of this doctor they are lucky. Unfortunately, I left his office feeling defeated and was extremely hesitant to write a review because I think this doctor genuinely has good intentions for all his patient's. I would probably be doing a dis-service to so many women if I didn't write my experience with this office. My first visit I was able to get an appointment within 2 months. I laid out my concerns to the doctor and his nurse and they were compassionate. We decided to rule out several things by doing another (MRI, Urodynamics Exam, and Pelvic Ultrasound). I was excited to do all these exams because I was hoping I'd get an answer for my pelvic pain, never ending periods, and bladder spasms. It took me a lot of hand holding with the office staff to schedule any of the appointments because they failed to submit information to my insurance and once my insurance approved they would fail to let me know when i could schedule my appointments. From the time I did my initial visit to the time I got done with my exams it had been about 5 months. I was flying into LA to see this doctor and often times I would have to call the office to confirm they received mg exam results. They would lie and say yes and when I had my 5 mins with the doctor they often times didn't have my results. My visits were less than 10 min, doctor seemed over booked and stressed out. My last visit I left the office crying and upset. I was there for over an hour waiting on my results to be faxed to the office so we could discuss the findings. Dr. F concluded I was find and nothing was wrong with me. All my results came back with some small fibroids but no suggestions of a myomectomy. He said I shouldn't have issues with fertility. If I decided I don't want kids he suggested a future hysterectomy. That was it. Let me tell you, last year continued to be a hell of a year for me which continued on leading to my ultimate decision . I became severely anemic, periods didn't stop, my pelvic pain was horrific. I hated my life and felt hopeless. This doctor was my fourth failed gynecologist in less than a year. No one took my symptoms seriously until I found a private practice gyne in the Bay Area who saved my life. She was in complete shock when she saw my hemoglobin levels and ferretin earlier this year and prior blood results which had been shared with this office and doctor.I was averaging 6.0-6.5 HCG on a good day and ferretin levels 2-3. She immediately sent me to an oncologist for weekly iron infusions for about 2 months before surgery. I had another pelvic exam which showed I had a 8 cm fibroid. She gave me options. We tried an IUD which failed miserably. She immediately put me on other hormonal pills to try to limit my vaginal bleeding. She recommend doing a myomectomy to remove fibroids but I was in so much pain and my anemia had taken over my life. My entire body was exhausted from monthly 20+ day periods, fighting anemia, and the pelvic pain that completely ruined my every day life. I opted out for a hysterectomy and I am so glad I did it! It turns out my uterus was 4 times the size of an average woman filled with fibroids, which explains the pelvic pain and bleeding! My uterus was so big it was sitting on my bladder triggering bladder spasms. I am 5 weeks post op now and feeling so much better!!! Best decision was leaving this office and finding a new one!!! It's been a year since I left this office. I really hope the doctor took my recommendation and worked with his office manager to find quality staff. For all the ladies going through similar stories, please be your own advocates. If something feels off and life threatening seek another opinion or multiple till you find the right one. Health is truly wealth and has no price! Don't let anyone tell you that you are being hysterical with your pain. Living life with pain is no way to live. read more

Horrible experience. Doesn't take time to answer questions. The day I was there I heard him tell his nurse he had 33 patients that day and needed to get them in and out quickly. He actually told me he was the best in his field and that when you're the best you don't need to be humble. Very arrogant and spent less than 5 minutes with me including the test he did. I have never been so insulted by a professional person such as this well known popular Dr that I had heard was the best of the best. First off after finally getting into see him I was taken back by his attitude and unprofessional behavior towards me. His first words to his nurse not knowing I was standing right there was, what is she here for? Without going into details why I was there I was uncomfortable with the exam and his words were your problem is your weight. He told me to go have weight loss surgery and come back and see him in a year it hurt my feelings so bad. I left with the assumption they thought I would be back, that would be a hell naw. I called my referring Dr. and told him what happen and asked to be sent elsewhere for treatment . Clearly this Dr has a rapport with certain kind of people and I was not the flavor he caters too. I would like to thank Dr. Soorena Fatehchehr because the procedure for my prolapsed bladder has helped me so much. Before this surgery my left leg was continuously swollen. Six months since my surgery and the swelling has not come back. Not to mention that I can use the restroom without worrying that my insides are going to fall out! Dr. Fatehchehr is truly one of a kind. He is very caring and an excellent doctor and surgeon. My daughter had been suffering from chronic UTI's and general discomfort. I had suffered from chronic pelvic pain and horrendous periods for 15 years. I had two previous surgeries with regular gynecologists, both were to remove endometriosis. The first surgery was ablation and the second surgery was excision but I was told I only had three lesions on my colon and they were removed. About a year after my supposed excision of endometriosis from my colon, I had a return of excruciating pain with bowel movements, ovulation, and new bladder symptoms. I was being treated for UTI's but it didn't make sense to me why I would have recurring UTI's all of a sudden. Plus I was told the other pains could not be endometriosis and were things I would just have to live with. At this point, I realized I needed a second opinion. His initial evaluation/pelvic exam was targeted to endo and he could feel spots internally. He was confident I had recurring and likely missed endometriosis from my previous surgeries with non-specialists and recommended surgery. He told me about Nancy's Nook and I read his wonderful reviews. I knew I'd be in good hands and I was. I had surgery November 14, 2022. I was diagnosed with Stage IV endo. Dozens of lesions all over my colon, ovaries, bladder, appendix (which he removed completely), and throughout my pelvic region. When I found out what happened during surgery, I cried. Although I had horrible pain, I started questioning myself and whether or not my pain was real. I now recognize I had medical PTSD from years of being gaslit and failed surgeries. I was referred to Dr. Fatehchehr for what was suspected to be endometriosis and adenomyosis. I had seen a handful of doctors over the course of 10 years and never was taken seriously and this made it hard to trust doctors and even myself. My experience with the doctor and his staff changed that and saved my life. The Doctor was clear, informative and validating of my experience and in two months he diagnosed and performed surgery for my stage 4 deep infiltrating endometriosis. This surgery saved my life, the tissues had fused my pelvis and I was dealing with extreme abdominal pain. The laparoscopic surgery removed my uterus, appendix, right ovary, parts of my bladder and intestines. The surgery was expected to be 2 hours but lasted 6 and the extra time was proof that Dr. Fatehchehr cared about the quality of his patient's life. He cleanly removed all the tissue and continued to check on me in the hospital while I recovered. I felt fully recovered by 6 weeks. Dr. Fatercherch is a very competent and compassionate doctor. On December 5, Dr. Fatercherch performed surgery on me which required a biopsy which would take 2 weeks for the results. On December 6, I went to see Dr. Fatercherch for my post-op visit. Dr. Fatercherch was sick but he still saw me. That very same night, I received a call from him telling me the results had come in and everything was fine! He mentioned in his voice mail that he knew I would want to hear the good news right away! Thank you very much Dr. Fatercherch! I also saw him come out to the patient's waiting area to speak to this lady who, I assumed, was there for her post-op visit. Dr. Fatercherch took the time to actually come out and see her before her appointment. He knelt next to her, (she was in a wheel chair) and spoke to her. Dr. Soorena Fatehchehr Review I met Dr Fatehchehr at my gynecologist office in February because he was going to be assisting my doctor in surgery. He listened to my concerns and my fathers and made us feel at ease with his answers. After the consultation we made our PreOp appointment and once again we were in his office as time was ticking for surgery. He told us what to do how to prepare and how this surgery would be different from the other two I've had already. We prepared for any other surgeries they would have to do as Dr Fatehchehr explained and he also gave us some insight into after operation things to avoid and our future appointments and what we would do as far as treatments. I had surgery with Dr Fatehchehr on March 12th 2019 and it was by far the best experience I've had with my endometriosis journey. Dr Fatehchehr came and saw me while I was being prepped he knew how to keep me calm and my family calm. He saw me 3 times before I went into surgery and explained everything that the nurses were doing and what he was going to do in detail. Once I was done and still unconscious he went to go find and talk to my family and show them what was done and reassure them that they had nothing to worry about the surgery went well and I was in recovery now. When I woke up in my room he came to see me as soon as he could which was fast he popped in and talked a little but I was quite nauseous and he understood so he came back later in the day and talked to me looked at my chart and said he would see me tomorrow and hopefully I would be going home. I saw him 3 time on my last day in hospital he asked if I had any questions and he was very understanding when I told him I would rather wait till I was a bit more sound of mind since I was very exhausted. Overall it was a great experience with him he wasted no time getting me to surgery and giving me all the attention this disease needs.
