I had an amazing experience with Dr.Pearlman I had my BBL done with him , the results are amazing, he has a great team that are with you at every step of your recovery. I'll definitely be going again if I need another procedure . Thank you a lot .

My first encounter with Dr. Hicks was on 09/12/17 when I went in for a breast augmentation. I felt very welcomed by all the staff. Malena, Denise and everyone greeted me well and was friendly. I was helped right away and did not wait at all. Dr. Hicks answered all my questions. However, I was very unsure if I wanted to continue the procedure or not (was very afraid of going under anesthesia since I have never had surgery before). I decided to scheduled another consultation with Dr. Hicks and asked more questions to help ease my mind. Dr. Hicks was very knowledgeable and by my second consultation I knew Dr. Hicks would do amazing job. I set up my appointment and got my breast augmentation on 09/29/17. On the day of my surgery I was extremely nervous but all the staff helped calm my nerves. I was well taken care of. I am two weeks post augmentation! The pain is almost gone and my breast are still swollen but so far I am loving my results! I got 485 CC silicone implants and couldn't be any happier with my size. The only thing I regret is not getting my breast done sooner! I have had two post op check ups and I'm healing well. I can't wait to see the final results. I definitely recommend Dr. Hicks. He is very knowledgeable, the staff is great, the office is nice and clean, and pricing is very affordable with payment plans available. I definitely recommend contacting Malena as a coordinator. She definitely understood my busy work schedule and did all she could to make both my consultations work, and she ensured I got the date I wanted my procedure. She kept me in the loop the whole time and continues to check up on me. Thank you Malena for all the help you've given me, I couldn't be any happier. Thank you, Dr. Hicks and all your staff!

Dr. Hicks is amazing!!! He's honest, professional and caring. I went in for my consultation and he examined me. He explained that he'd do his best. I had a case of severe stretch marks and my rectus abdominis was stretched beyond non-surgical options. I am very physically active my routine included crossfit, aerial yoga, hoops and dancing. My abdomen skin was floppy and I had a pouch no matter how much I exercised It was embarrassing to lift my arms fearing my abdomen would show. I was referred to Dr. Hicks by one of my Crossfit buddies. She told me he was great and he had a payment plan I was so excited. I made an appointment immediately for a consultation. I scheduled my procedure for December 14, 2019. I met with him a week before my surgery and I was able to ask him questions and discuss any concerns that I may have. He was honest and realistic in what outcome could be expected for my condition. I really appreciated his honesty. However, the results were better than I could every imagine. I received a Christmas card from the office wishing me Merry Christmas and a speedy recovery. If that wasn't enough, Dr. Hicks called me 3 days post op to check on me and one of his staff members called me 4 days post op to check one me. I went in weekly for about 3 weeks to be checked. He cleared me to receive Lymphatic drainage massages by Malena. I highly recommend these massages. The massages helped me to stand up straighter, decreased swelling, decreased soreness and just felt good. I had stretch marks above my navel so those remain, but they're not very visible and I can rock a two piece with no shame to my game. My body is summer ready. My scar is barley visible and I am looking fierce. I highly recommend Dr. Hicks. He's in Long Beach and I didn't have to go deep in the heart of Beverly Hills to get snatched. If you want to look good CALL DR. PEARLMAN HICKS, today!!Thank you Dr. Hicks and staff!!!!

I have had several surgeries by Dr. Hicks and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I had lipo and blepharoplasty by Dr. Hicks and both were life-changing for me. Not only is he extremely nice and professional, but his entire staff is very welcoming. I have referred many friends and family members to him for blepharoplasty, breast augmentation, tummy tucks and lipo and they all have been extremely happy with his work. The great thing is he has a full surgical suite in his office. I wouldn't go anywhere else and I couldn't recommend him enough.

Dr. Pearlman Hicks helped me get my self confidence back!

Dr. Hicks is amazing! I needed to find me again and Dr. Hicks helped me do just that! My husband was a firefighter here in Long Beach & he suddenly died at the age of 47! Needless to say emotional eating got the very best of me. I needed to gain my self confidence & feel good about myself again. Dr. Hicks made that happen for me. After being extremely fearful, Dr. Hicks & his amazing team of nurses helped me push past my fear. I had a tummy tuck & it was one of the best things I could have ever done for "myself"! Dr. Hicks has kept a watchful eye on me with many post op appointments. The wonderful team of nurses that work in his office are personable & friendly. They call you by your first name. I thank you Dr. Hicks for helping me find me again! You are truly a blessing to me!

    Dr. Hicks amazing work!

I met Dr. Hicks through a dear friend and wanted to have my tummy tuck done. Just thinking about getting the surgery I was very nervous and scared but I knew I wanted to have it done. After having 3 children and gaining 50 -60 pounds during my pregnancies I wanted to get my sexy back. The after result of my tummy tuck was the best. Now I can wear a 2 piece bikini and feel confident about myself. Dr. Hicks is gifted and his work reflects many years of hard work and education in his field. Best plastic surgeon I know and will never go anywhere else! He is very caring, compassionate, will listen to what you want and will advice you the best he knows. I highly recommend Dr. Hicks and will not hesitate to return and will continue to refer my friends and family to his practice. The staff are awesome! Rosi is the best and will always answer all your questions. Very sweet, kind and welcoming. I always look forward to seeing her. I can't forget to mention the rest of the staff Michelle, Norma and Denise. This group of professionals is proud of their quality care, and love their jobs. Happy workers make happy patients! After meeting all I felt totally prepared for what the operation and recovery would be like. The other practices with whom I consulted all had some good features, but Dr. Hicks practice has the complete package. Thank you Dr. Hicks and all the wonderful staff. You guys rock!

Prior to this consultation I submitted photos and had multiple phone conversations with the patient coordinator Abagail. Abagail spent a long time with me on the phone answering all of my questions and was very helpful. We spent a lot of time searching for the right date to schedule the surgery, considering how long I would need for rehab, when my husband would be available to drive me afterwards, arranging a dog sitter, scheduling my pre-op appointment and all of the details which must be arranged around the surgery date. We finally agreed on the date of Thursday, September 18, 2025. I told my husband the date. He arranged his schedule of work, travel and meetings to be available during that time, I scheduled the dog sitter, I went to my pre-op appointment, I got clearance from my cardiologist and I was all ready to go on Thursday, Sept. 18. Then I went in for my consultation with Dr. Waltzman who I liked very much. We decided I would be a good candidate for the brachioplasty. He explained the likely outcome and the details of the rehab. He was also kind enough to let me know that I am not a good candidate for skin tightening procedures at my age, due to the lack of enough collagen to get good results from skin tightening procedures. I was very happy to then go to Abagail's office to pay for the procedure and finalize the schedule. That was when Abagail casually informed me that the date she and I had so carefully chosen, the one I had spent so much time making arrangements for, with my husband and his work, my dog sitter, my cardiologist, and my primary care doctor- she informed that this date was no longer available. I was so shocked when Abagail very casually informed me that she had given that surgery date to someone else. I asked her why she had not let me know that the date I had so carefully arranged for was a tentative date. She said that her policy was to not give priority to anyone. My response was that she certainly gave priority to someone else for that date when she had already promised it to me. Abagail declined to apologize to me or to acknowledge that she should have told me the date was tentative. She declined to be accountable at all for putting me in such an inconvenient position. I felt that I had been betrayed, or misled or manipulated or disrespected by this person who refused to take any responsibility. I followed up by calling and speaking to who I was told was the office manager at that time, whose name I do not remember. We had a very helpful conversation where I explained to the manager my experience with Abagail and how inconvenienced I was by being given a surgery date that was so casually withdrawn with no acknowledgement at all that she should have made it clear to me this date was tentative. The manager listened politely and thanked me for the feedback. I thought that was the end of the issue until yesterday. Yesterday I tried calling the Waltzman Institute to schedule a consultation for injections in my lower face. However, Makayla, who I spoke to today, said she had never spoken to me before, and is now the office manager. Makayla very authoritatively informed me that The Waltzman Institute is refusing to have me as a client. So today I learned that the Waltzman Institute has chosen to ignore a potential client's attempts at providing, what some professionals would consider to be valuable feedback. I am disappointed at this response and at how this supposed professional patient coordinator at a reputable medical practice was able to act in such an unprofessional way, refuse to own up to what she did, and then convince other staff members to not listen to me or to consider my feedback. These types of experiences are the most valuable learning experiences for all us, except for those who refuse to hear or listen to feedback, or for those who can't acknowledge their own accountability for their own mistakes, as in his case, when a client calls them on their responsibility to inform the client of all pertinent information pertaining to the surgical date. Before this encounter with Abagail, I was impressed with Dr. Waltzman, and I felt that, to him, earning the trust of his patients is a very important part of his practice. It is ironic that his own patient coordinator, along with the current office manager, should go behind his back to erode that trust . When I spoke to Makayla today, she verbally included Dr. Waltzman himself as one of the decision-makers who voted to ban me from his practice. However, I think that Dr. Waltzman will be ashamed when he learns of this sabotage. I hope that Abagail will at some point grow a seed of how to acknowledge her mistakes and learn that listening to feedback can be personal growth material.

Less than a month later, I noticed a suspicious lesion on the sole of my foot--an area I don't typically look at closely. My PCP agreed it looked atypical and recommended that I return to dermatology for further evaluation. I scheduled another appointment with Ms. Kelly in April. After examining the lesion, she told me it appeared to be an atypical acral nevus and recommended either a biopsy that day or a 3‑month follow‑up to monitor for changes. When I received the bill for the second visit, I was surprised and disappointed to find that I owed a balance. Given how soon the second appointment occurred and the nature of the lesion, I believe it was likely present--but overlooked--during the initial comprehensive exam. It was difficult to reconcile a 12-24 month follow‑up from the first visit with a 3 month follow‑up just weeks later. The likelihood that the lesion appeared, grew aggressively, and then stabilized within that brief window seems low to me. I expressed to the clinic that, under these circumstances, I felt the remaining balance should be waived. I spoke with both the billing specialist and the office manager, but they explained that the visit would be billed regardless. I ultimately paid the balance. While the staff and provider were polite and professional, my overall experience was not ideal. I was left with the feeling that the initial comprehensive exam may not have been as thorough as I expected. I fully believe providers should be compensated for their work and recognize that healthcare and insurance systems are complex, but I was not completely satisfied with the care I received at this clinic.
