My color is bright and even, and she really listened to what I wanted. She also has a fantastic personality and is easy to chat with while she works. Jade cut my hair and before she began we talked about what I wanted and I showed her a couple of pictures of what I had in mind. She also did exactly what I wanted, and it looks great! I have had many experiences with stylists ignoring what I've asked for and just doing whatever they felt like and then I end up having to go and get it corrected. Not here! You mention that there should be industry standards of a decent cut, and then are accused of being cruel and not understanding the trajectory of a beginner and that they stand behind their stylists. This is unacceptable in a professional setting. As a customer, you should not be guilted by the owner when you mention an industry standard of a good cut and are faced with a guilt trip of being not understanding of a beginning stylist. My hair grows fast, and I have a tendency to go from pixie to past-my-shoulders with only one or two cuts inbetween. On this occasion, I was starting to realize the strange "ombre" effect I was developing was due to shimmering golden split ends. Eeks! Time for a cut. I'm actually wanting to grow it longer, so I asked for a trim. You've heard the horror stories about trim requests which turns into six inch cuts, but thankfully this is not one of those. Kemp showed me how high the damage went, explained how much he would need to take off, and worked with my existing (grown-out) layers to keep as much length as possible while transforming my hair into a a luxuriously soft and healthy look, still with lots of length and body. Amazed! I enjoyed sitting under the gentle dryer and reading a magazine rather than the typical harsh and hurried blow out, and I also love all the "eye candy" that adorns the walls and high shelves. I appreciate the care taken to create a beautiful *and* visually interesting space, especially when quality haircuts like these do leave you sitting and looking at the walls as the transformation occurs. I'm so excited to go back, I plan to return in two months instead of six!
