One word comes to mind when I think about the people and services I received at Your Next Jump…read more Grateful. The biggest fallacy you'll face during a job hunt is the belief that employers are in charge of the process. They're not. YNJ taught me from beginning to end the importance of taking ownership of my story. Through each consultation, call, email, revision, I learned how to take charge of my interviews, certain pitfalls to avoid, and tailoring my story with a clear end goal in mind. The result? - I received an offer every time I spoke to a hiring manager. - I increased my base salary three times. This was all because of their process. They listened, understood the potential pain points within my resume and job history, and turned it into something not only palatable, but of immense value. That's the key. Towards the end of my job search, not only did I land a role in a new industry I was hoping to pivot into (management consulting), but I gained the belief that my skills are something to be celebrated. Thanks YNJ for turning a new leaf in my life and for getting me a job where I'll thrive for years to come.

I purchased the Career Launch Kit for $899 from Your Next Jump (YNJ), along with a cover letter for…read morean additional $100. While I appreciated the professionalism in communication, the overall experience fell short in several important ways. First, there was minimal human interaction throughout the process. At no point did anyone take the time to understand my unique career goals--whether I was repositioning myself for a new industry, returning to the workforce after a break, or targeting a specific type of role. The service felt highly templated and lacked the strategic depth I expected from a career consulting company. They did want me to submit two job opportunities, to get an understanding of the roles I wanted to apply to, but by the time YNJ completed their services, those roles are obsolete. YNJ emphasizes their move toward AI- and tech-driven solutions, but this focus seems out of sync with recent hiring trends and feedback from recruiters nationwide, who have voiced growing concerns about the authenticity and accuracy of AI-generated materials (https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/21/business/dealbook/ai-job-applications.html?smid=url-share). Unfortunately, that disconnect was evident in the documents I received. They don't need to be experts in every field, but there's a noticeable lack of industry knowledge that makes it difficult for them to highlight critical, role-specific functions. Drafts were returned with errors--including incomplete sentences and exaggerated or unclear claims--so I had to carefully review everything to avoid misrepresenting myself. Revision times of 24-48 hours (even for minor edits) created unnecessary delays in my job search. And conversations with Tim felt rushed and surface-level; I was never fully confident that my feedback was truly understood or applied. I did call YNJ to discuss these concerns before posting this review, but they did not respond, I'm assuming it is because they already received their payment. I had roughly five different hiring managers review their work, and none were impressed. While the general template that they utilize is unique to their services and adds a splash of color amid the monotonous pile of resumes, nothing really stands out. In the end, Your Next Jump's work may serve as a basic starting point, but if you're a professional with a nontraditional background, transitioning industries, or aiming for mid-to-senior level roles, you'll likely need to invest significant time refining their drafts yourself--or seek more strategic, personalized support elsewhere.

My favorite aspects about Abigail's style as a coach: her pragmatic & practical approach, offering great insight and ideas to try out to help overcome any obstacles you're facing. And just as not everyone is the same or faces the same challenges, Abigail really takes the time to get to know each of her clients and doesn't prescribe a "one size fits all" approach to coaching either. Her ideas are specific, tailored, and when we try them out and they aren't working (rare), she goes back to the drawing board and provides some other ways to try it. I cannot recommend Abigail highly enough.

Long version - I contacted Abigail after recognizing that my spouse had ADHD. My spouse was reluctant to even consider that diagnosis or meet with someone to determine if it could be true. Abigail was able to suggest a different conversational approach that was instantly more successful. We met with her a few times as a couple, and then my spouse continued to meet with her independently, either in-person or via video conferencing. ADHD is not something that an individual or a couple can learn to manage quickly, but Abigail provided us with some concrete suggestions to implement in our day-to-day lives. At some point after my spouse stopped the individual sessions, I reached a point where I was really struggling (ADHD can be 2 steps forward, 1 step back, which takes a toll on family members), and I contacted Abigail again. Once again, she was able to help me with my sanity and point me in the right direction to help my spouse more effectively. Both times, it was a huge help to have someone who listened, understood, and had practical advice for handling these issues.

I felt understood and that there was hope from the very first meeting with Dr Drell. He helped me through the worst time in my life when I felt depressed, anxious, confused and trapped. Even more important, he helped me see clearly how I was limiting myself in areas of my life that I thought were unchangeable. And he helped me develop the skills to change my way of thinking and reacting. I have worked with several psychiatrists and therapists, most have been supportive and caring but Dr Drell is all this AND so much more. He gets to the real heart of things quickly and helped me change my basic views and feelings about myself and what was possible. He is perceptive, practical, warm, and able to give very honest helpful feedback and he is very funny. His genuine compassion and caring makes it easy to discuss anything, face painful realities, and move forward. He focuses on the real issues that are happening now. He doesn't dwell on the past. He asks great questions and has wise practical advice that opened my mind to new ways of thinking. He helped me clearly see what I was totally unaware of and also face what I was avoiding. On the downside, he is in demand and I had to wait for an opening. But from the first meeting I knew I had made the right decision. Despite being busy I always felt he was there for me and available. I could always depend on him. Working with him helped me feel better than I ever imagined possible. I have never been more successful and happier. My decision to see Dr Drell was the best choice and investment I have ever made for my life.
