I had to…read morearrange car service for my elderly parents from a downtown hotel to O'hare including their 6+ pieces of luggage. Heidi was extremely responsive and even called the hotel to ensure a porter was also available to help with their luggage (hotel doesn't allow chauffeurs to retrieve luggage). She and the driver texted me along the entire process from almost arrival, arrival, luggage loading/departure, and eventual drop-off at O'hare at the wheelchair area. In addition, they helped my father who has very limited mobility into and out of the SUV (required for all the luggage and walker). I would definitely recommend them again!

They've let me drive to their office a couple of times to bring keys for our company apartment to handoff to people who are arriving late. A ride to the airport is as far as I would go with them. 1. Specifically instructed them to have the limo driver contact me upon arrival. Did not happen and ended up waiting 30 minutes and had my parents dropped off by another limo company because I couldnt find the limo driver. Response from the owner "I apologize that the chauffeur didn't contact you when initially on-site. I can assure you he had arrived on time and was on-site; a quick call to the office versus 30 minutes of finding alternative transportation would have easily confirmed the location of the chauffeur for your parents." Of course I called twice! but who the heck wants to leave messages on a machine the morning of their wedding! Plus why should I have to call? I gave specific instructions to have the limo driver contact me UPON ARRIVAL. 2. Had specific instructions to have the limo decorated during our departure from the wedding with a just married sign, rose petals, red carpet and bottle of champagne. Once again they only made it half way. Red carpet laid down and champagne but no signs or rose petals on the car as requested! 3. Saw 2 transactions on my credit card statement and am still waiting for details of what the 2 charges are for. Will update when I hear back. Overall, I wouldnt recommend yourprivatelimo to anyone. The only reason I actually gave them a chance was because Tracey (owner) stated that YPL had a reputation for a high level or service and safety and I believed her. Hopefully you wont be fooled. I suggest checking out Empire Limo they actually ended up fixing YPL's morning mistake and had a limo onsite to take my parents to the wedding!

Not so on the return. Our flight had a weather delay. I began communicating with the dispatch 3 hours before our originally booked pickup. I gave flight info and kept communicating via text to give our updated arrival time. I sent 12 texts in response to the dispatcher and driver. What a shock to be charged more than double the agreed upon "flat rate". Driver put off talk of payment until we had unloaded at home and were standing in my driveway. What a SHOCK! The quoted "flat rate" of $75 was now nearly $200! I politely tipped but resolved never to book in advance with American Yellow Taxi. What's the point of booking a "guaranteed flat rate" in advance if that guarantee is not honored when weather delays happen. He cited "wait time" as the reason, but I communicated the new arrival time 3 hours in advance of our originally booked pickup. Don't trust the quoted price at American Yellow Taxi. They will take you for a ride if they can get away with it.

I was not sure if they would have a minimum for one-way service so decided to call them first instead of booking online. The operator was very helpful and willing to offer one-way service with no minimum hours. This was a good first sign because our main goal was to not just use them for this trip but also for our upcoming wedding day. Our Chauffeur (Al) was on time, the limo was well kept and the rates reasonable. We mentioned to our Chauffeur at the end of our ride that we have a wedding coming up and were thinking of making a reservation. He told us that if we are happy with his service, than he can inform his dispatcher and someone will call us to help with our reservation. Fast forward to October, a week before our wedding. We received a courtesy call and a reminder regarding our reservation. We had made an 8 hour reservation which including multiple trips from my home to the make artist than to 2 photo shoots and than back to our house. Through out the entire day, our Chauffeur was very friendly. Our 8 hours reservation ended up being an 11 hours trip but at no point did he display any signs of being unhappy. On our way back from the Banquet, to our hotel room, we were hesitant to ask him to make another stop at my house at almost 1 o clock at night and he over heard our conversation and himself offered to make the stop. We could not have hoped for better service and since have recommend A1 Luxury to a handful of people.
