I used to love this place. Z seemed to be nice when I started coming here a couple years ago. She was the best person there. Now she barley talks to you and she doesn't acknowledge you when in her chair. She picks and chooses who she likes and will talk to. I don't know if it's her culture but she is not personable. She doesn't even ask how you want your eyebrows done anymore. My eyebrows have been crooked and uneven last couple visits. She talks over you to her preferred customers and doesn't even show you your eyebrows when she is done. She didn't even acknowledge me at check out and didn't tell me how much the service would be for both services I had done. She is rude and tacky. I think she is even the owner. My girl Alyssa over here is so bomb! She's usually the receptionist but when she gets to work on me she makes my eyebrows look so good every. damn. time. Alyssa always takes her time no matter what... I swear she's precisely picking what hairs to get to make sure the outcome is nothing but perfect. I started going to her after my eyebrows were beat and battered so many times and she's been helping me grow them out. Since then my eyebrows have become fuller! I went to another shop to get my eyebrows done once in my time while Alyssa's been helping me and all of her hard work perfecting my eyebrows went down the drain. So devastated, but Alyssa and I are on a journey to get my eyebrows back to the way she perfected them. Please do not sleep on this girl. She is talented, a true artist at her work. I came here because my threading place was closed and Yelp said this place was open until 8. I called a few minutes after 7:30 asking if they were open and she said they were going to close early because it had been raining all day and was very slow(which I completely understand) but that she'll wait for me. She was there as promised and said they usually always close at 8 but because of the rain she almost closed early. Her name was Jazz. She has a very light touch and my eyebrows looked great! My sister introduced me to Z last year and I have been going to her since. I always leave looking great. I don't have sensitive skin, so I never get a rash or anything. She does always offer to put aloe vera on after, but I never need it. Some Yelpers said that she can get distracted because of her kids or her phone. I have seen it happen, but it's never been an issue for me. Usually she gets off the phone before she works on me. But I'm sure if you just say, "I can wait until you're done," she would politely oblige. read more

I'm so sad to do this because I have gone to Sophie's for well over a year and have generally always had wonderful experiences, not to mention I love the girls who work there. However today, the oldest woman who works there (not sure what her name is) clearly got distracted and made my left eyebrow about 40% thinner than my right one. The girls there know that I like larger eyebrows so I usually don't have to explain anymore that I don't want thin, arched brows. The woman never during the experience mentioned they were uneven. So I paid, tipped well, and left. When I got in my car, my jaw dropped at the size difference in my brows. It was almost embarrassingly noticeable. I tried to let it go but it bothered me so much I finally went back in the evening. Sadly, this is where the experience could have been fixed but she made it so much worse that I probably will never be back. When I told her that one brow was 40% smaller than the other, she immediately was defensive and started to argue with me. She began by saying "when I was doing your brows I was telling you that one is naturally smaller." This was her first lie because the entire time she was doing my brows all we talked about was Persian food and how skinny I am. So she never said that one brow was naturally smaller. Also my brows have always been pretty notoriously even (the girls at Sophie's have commented on how symmetrical they usually are) so the fact that she tried to blame her mistake on my brows was just ludicrous. Secondly, when I shot down her lie, I point blankly asked for a refund. She said she "doesn't do this". I told her to please not argue with me as I have never had a problem before and always leave with even brows. After I said this she said she would refund my money. She also offered to thin out the bigger brow but I said no because I really dislike small, arched brows and I am worried the hair won't grow back the same way. Had this woman (who I adored in the past) just said "I'm sorry and I will refund you," I would've been a returning customer to Sophie's. Unfortunately her poor business professionalism has caused me to never want to come back and I am so bummed because I truly loved this business and the sweet ladies. She offered to give me a free thread next time, but unfortunately the way she argued with me today has completely ruined this place for me, and I will be looking elsewhere. read more

The first time I went to this location the lady was sweet and she did a good job. She told me the lashes were some special "mink" but they did look a little shiny in my opinion. I was a little weirded out by her having her kids and other employees come in and out of the room during my appointment, I don't think that's professional and I paid for a service with she and I, not she, I, her kids, and staff but I didn't say anything because I thought maybe it was a one time thing. I went back for a fill on a Wednesday, again, her son kept coming in and out of the room. But this time the lashes fell off Saturday of the same week. Not even 3 full days. I text her repeatedly and at first she was trying to be accommodating then she got rude. I'd text her asking if I could come tomorrow, she'd say yes, and the day off ask if I could come the following day. Like I don't have a job. Eventually I told her I wouldn't feel comfortable with her working on me because of our exchange and her attitude so she told me she'd give me a partial refund (half of $45 even though I paid the $45 and tipped $10). I asked her when I could pick it up. No response. I had to text her multiple times to get a response, if she responded at all. Take it from me cheap doesn't always mean better ! I found another amazing place on Groupon to go to, the lady is super sweet, PROFESSIONAL, and she actually answers her phone!! No one comes in the room ruining your session and if anything goes wrong with your lashes at that place the lady apologizes instead of making excuses. DON'T GIVE HER YOUR BUSINESS, it's not worth it . read more

I've gone four times already and every time I leave loving my eyebrows. They take their time and do it right. This is the first place that explained the importance of not waiting too long (2weeks) to return because it may cause more pain. I go every 2 weeks, give and take 2 days, and I never get red in the face. It's best to take cash because they charge a fee for using card. Give her a try! read more

First of all Zey is very down to earth sweet and very professional and honest . I get my lashes done and brows threaded in one appt and that's very accommodating to my busy schedule . Her prices are very reasonable and I walk out of there feeling brand new and confident . I won't ever go anywhere else again . Fist time here for brow threading and I can definitely say I will be back!! I came early Sunday morning, I didn't have to wait so I'm not sure how it gets when and if it gets super busy! The place is clean spacious and inviting. They do sell other items like jewelry, fake lashes and some makeup which is cool. They offer threading, makeup services, brow microblading, and eyelash extensions and more. Threading is walk-in but I believe all other services are by appointment. The lady that helped me was very quiet, but not rude. She was polite and didn't try to up sell anything which is a plus for me as I just wanted my threading done. Wish I got her name cuz she left my shape perfect. No over threading & no spots/patches of stray hairs left. I'll be looking for the next time! Now to the price,(for brows that is) only $5 !!! This review is long overdue, I started coming to this place when it first opened and I loved it! It wasn't really on my way home but one day after a trip to Marshall's next door I decided to stop and check it out. It was very affordable so I decided to give it a try. Z did a great job so I kept going back and I must say I got compliments from tons of people, even at the bank after a few times seeing her. I went to her for about 10 months until one day she was there but she was sick so she had someone else helping her. I should have turned around and left but I decided to stay because all I needed was a clean up so it was the usual. I asked the lady to just clean them up but leave them thick because thats how I liked them and she nodded ok. Well 10 minutes later I look up and my eyebrows are out of shape and much thinner. I told the lady I liked them thick and she had made them thinner but I could see there was a clear language barrier. I paid and left because Z was in the back coughing up a storm. I went back and I told Z about the incident and she didn't apologize she just awkwardly smiled and shrugged it off. I guess it's only then I realized after so many months of religiously seeing her she still didn't know my name. Would I go back? Sure because of the reviews of the other ladies working with Z now that you girls post but I doubt it. Eyebrows are special to us girls and once you mess with them you know you run the other direction! I have now found another great lady who I go to though, Karina inside Le Rouge Salon in Orange who seriously girls is amazing! read more
