I'm familiar w Morgan Christoper but decided to try a new one this time for: All over color Hilites Lowlites Mani Pedi Haircut The atmosphere is very nice - the staff is pleasant and proficient at their work. I was extremely pleased w my hairstylist and results, not as pleased with the pedicurist. She free-hands everything and while she takes pride in that and her work in general, the French mani and pedi didn't look as good as when you go to a strip mall salon. The prices were high but that's the nature of salons. Overall I think I may switch from Morgan Christopher as this start up seems to be more accommodating and less "stuffy" than MC. read more

I do not like this place at all!!!! Horrible Horrible Horrible experience!!! I meant to write this review a year ago when I came to have my hair done for my brother's wedding. This place was awful!! We were a larger wedding party (and sometimes things aren't exactly on time). I came in 5 min late, the owner huffed and ran me to the chair, she said my hair was too fine to do any of the things I asked for (all of which I've had done before). I told her I have extensions, someone could bring them. She said ok, if they arrived in 2 min. (Impossible). So she literally put 1 section of my hair up with 2 bobby pins. It looked so sloppy and frizzy. I told her this. She said we're out of time. So that's how I left. My mom (mother of the groom) came in after me. When the owner saw my mom, she screamed "no more updos"!!! It's too late!! So we both left with ugly hair that we'll unfortunately see every time we look at wedding pictures. And we both paid full price. I understand they have other clients but when you agree to accommodate a wedding party (and require half the payment up front) you need to plan for some extra time. It was raining that day and things were delayed, it happens. This is someone's most important day. They deserve more attention. I will NEVER come here again and advise others to do the same. read more

My hair had been colored red against my wishes at my previous salon in palatine, when all I wanted was lowlights and highlights to compliment my brown hair. It was RED! I have been going here for at least 4 years. I see Rachael, the only blond there. She is phenomenal. I am never rushed, I always feel like I'm her only client and she listens to what I want but also gives her opinion which is what a true stylist should do. I always leave looking beautiful without the "just done up" look. My highlights always look natural even if she spent 2 hours working on me. The decor of the salon is upscale and there is no Catty salon drama amongst the girls. I always feel relaxed when I leave..LOVE IT!! read more

I went to Sorelle last November, and I haven't colored my hair since then, but that's just because I'm a slacker. However, when I did see Rachel back in November, she did a GREAT job! I will NEVER go here again....EVER. I was running short on time on Friday and thought this place was close and had good reviews, so why not? Well, this is why. I had an appointment with Nicole on Friday at 2:30 PM for a haircut and highlights. After the wash and blow dry, I got to see my new highlights were already 1/4 inch grown out. I pointed this out to Nicole, and she tried to fix this by re-foiling some of it....didn't help. Instead, I was left with a large blond patch on the side of my head. Nicole got the manager, Amanda to try to help correct this. Amanda deposited some color, but this didn't correct the matter. Overall, I was here for 2.75 hrs before I had to leave (marathon dinner). I left here crying. I made an appointment with Amanda for the next morning to fix this. She deposited some color, but now I have brassy highlights. After another hour, I have a little blond dot on a part she dyed back dark, and the strands with 1/4 inch that Nicole missed now are multi-colored. I finally had to ask for my money back. After 4 hours and my hair the way it is, I will NEVER EVER go back here. I wouldn't refer any family or friends. I wish I could attach pictures on here. :( read more

Overall the atmosphere of the place was very nice, it looked modern and welcoming but I went in for an updo for my best friends wedding and even though I did get a good amount of compliments, the updo was not what I wanted at all. The hair stylist only spent maybe 25 minutes on my hair and never checked in to see how I liked it. It felt like she didn't care and just wanted to rush me out. I showed her two reference pictures of what I wanted and explained it in detail but the stylist still ended up just doing that she wanted. She only checked in once and that was when she was completely finished and had drenched me in hairspray. I couldn't afford to have her redo it since I was running out of time so I just said thank you and left. So I'm giving this place 3 stars because I still got compliments on the style and the overall salon looked very nice but the customer service was extremely bad and I will not be going back for any other special event. read more

Dawn did my hair and did an exceptional job! My hair was in awful shape. My grays had at least a two inch out growth wirh an awful orange red color to the rest of my hair! She colored my hair with a chocolate brown with blonde highlights! Then cut my hair and I looked fabulous! Now everywhere I go I get compliments! Daughter had hair done ELSEWHERE (only because I wasn't aware of Sorelle) was hugely disappointed, home 5 minutes and bobby pins started to fall out and the "pouf" looked like a giant croissant on her head. Daughter crying hysterical/face red. I call a few other Bartlett, IL salons everyone is booked & each practically hung up on me. I asked daughter where she went for that GREAT tan-do they do hair?? She said YES, it was SORELLE. I phoned, before I even spoke WHAT A DIFFERENCE.. just by the way the receptionist answered the phone, kind, sweet & friendly! I explained situation, she put me on hold for a few minutes, got back on the line, apologize for keeping me on hold (are you kidding-no apology necessary-the sweetest lady ever) told me to bring daughter in right now - owner will squeeze her in. We raced over, waited a few minutes while owner finished up a client, she whizzed us in before taking her next client, in 15 minutes, she had my daughter looking stunning! Her hair was amazing, she repaired the disaster it was, added several additional curls... and we were BEYOND PLEASED... and to top it all off... when I went to pay.. the owner said the only pymt she wanted was for my daughter to have a good time at prom!! :) I was so stressed out, & she had to get her other young lady in the chair... but had time allowed I really wanted to hug this dear sweet woman... First time here. I asked the reservation clerk for someone who takes their time and listens. She scheduled an appointment with Jacqueline. When I arrived, I told Jacqueline I have a bald spot on the rear of my head and to make certain she doesn't cut it too short, use scissors only, no clippers. Worst and shortest haircut of my adult life. Hair is too short, maybe 3/8" on the sides, sticking out in weird ways. Then she went to town with the clippers, not just on the neck but sides and back. Wife hates the job Jacqueline did and made me promise to never return. This will take 3 weeks to grow to presentable. Does anyone listen anymore? read more

She has been cutting my hair for at least 9 years overall, and coloring it for 1, she knows what she is doing with my curly hair that has different textures all over. I absolutely love this place! I trust very few places to do my hair and this is one of the only places I will go. I went to go them after to going to ULTA. I had requested ULTA to do a color which did not turn out well. They did not schedule me instead they wanted to do a consultation first. They wanted to ensure that they do a good job before committing to anything. Lizzie made sure to prepare my hair a couple days before coloring it and told me about aftercare. Immediately when I walked in I got a warm welcome. I received a tour of the salon and was offered coffee or water. My hairstylist Sarah was amazing. I found Sorelle on Yelp and I am so glad I did. This is an excellent, friendly and professional salon. I normally go into the city to get a cut but I was really pressed for time this week and decided to take a chance on finding a local salon. I am very satisfied with my cut and found that this was a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. After talking with the stylist I even let her do a color touch-up which is something I would not normally do on the first visit to a salon. Needless to say I have just saved myself a lot of time by finding a salon I really like and it is very close to home. I highly recommend Sorelle. read more

I have been to several salons in my lifetime, I have even given beauty schools an opportunity and going to Sorelle was the worst experience I have ever had. I recently went in for a color change. By nature I am a dark blonde and I wanted to go fairly light. I brought in a picture of the image I wanted to capture and understood that there was an off chance that my hair would turn out a little different. But I was truly unprepared for my hair to turn yellow. The stylist had over processed my hair and left too much ash in my hair. I returned two days later to have it corrected and was badgered by the owner prior to giving them a second attempt at my hair. Needless to say, I was very unhappy and after looking like a canary for a week I went to Lorena's Salon down the road to have her correct my color for me. They had to give me two conditioning treatments because my hair felt like straw and were able to correct it for me. I am truly disappointed in Sorelle. I haven't had any color in my hair for over two years and felt that going blonde should not have been such a challenge since women have been coloring their hair for years. Bottom line. I think Sorelle tries to promote a great experience just by the atmosphere of the salon. I would rather go back to Lorenas where quality and talent surpasses the ambiance. read more
