Was Kalahari for Austin Vintage Market, after shopping for hours, was starved and headed to Sortino's for a quick slice. The menu looked pretty good for a quick bite. Immediately, there was such a sour vibe in there from the staff. They're web site says "Welcome to the family" Not this day, no hello, no welcome, no can I help you. just a look like they wished you weren't there and very unhappy. The pizza's looked good, not great and because it was a bit slow in mid afternoon, they looked a little dried out from sitting out. Had a question about what exactly the pizza of the moment was, as I could not figure out what was on it and asked the lady by the counter. She brushed me away with her hands and I went to the the guy at the register and he could have cared less. I opted the Pepperoni and sausage slice, which was priced at $8. I know its a resort and the prices would be high. What I wasn't expecting was the $4.75 price tag on my tea leaf iced tea. Had to wait for the slice and while trying to find a place to sit, realized all the tables were dirty. (There were only 2 or 3 tables of people in there.) I asked if we could have a table cleaned and finally, someone came out to clean. What was odd, was we were standing by the booth we would sit at (needed this with a friend who could not sit at the high tops)and wouldn't you clean that one first? Where your paying customers are waiting? Nope. She proceeded to clean other tables. Our pizza slices came out and there we stood holding a box with our slice and iced tea. I asked her if she could please clean the booth we were at and finally, she came over. The pizza was sub par, hardly any sauce, I literally just ate the little bites of toppings and left the cardboard crust. I was taking some pictures of the signs and pizza for this review and the guy at the counter told me not to. Weird. I realize it is on a resort, but, I would like a place as massive as Kalahari would see that its food vendors sold food that was better then you would get at the frozen section of HEB.

Inside the Kalahari resort in RoundRock Texas this is a pretty good Italian option. The Kalahari has really got it going on, lots to do, a great convention space, and good food options! It is not cheap but it is well done! While I was here for a company event I had the opportunity to hold a dinner for many of our team at this establishment. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and very good at taking care of our 10 person group. The food was VERY GOOD! I had a seafood pasta that was more than I could have ever hoped to eat but it was outstanding. All 10 of us loved our food. The venue itself was clean, well maintained, and up to date. It was a great option for the group and we didn't have to leave the resort! Being a resort venue it was a bit high priced! But the convenience helped to make up for some of that.

Three-cheese ravioli. Parmigiano-Reggiano, ricotta, mozzarella cheeses, housemade marinara sauce. Yum.

I had the three-cheese ravioli with Parmigiano-Reggiano, ricotta, mozzarella cheeses with housemade marinara sauce. It was very good and I thought a fair price. Located inside the KALAHARI water park resort. The other side of this restaurant is more like an Italian diner. Pizza and more lunch oriented. Service was fantastic.

We got a spot right away at the bar. The bartender was super attentive to us, and our food and drinks got to us quickly. We weren't rushing or anything. We were enjoying and taking our time. We got in and out in like 20-30 minutes. All the servers were friendly. The food was decent. The bolognese tasted a little salty, and the carbonara tasted good but a little too rich. The calamari was perfect, and I enjoyed that the most. My only real complaint is I think the food is overpriced. Otherwise, it's a great family sit-down place with decent food!

Mmmmmmm so good I love it Ale slayed The only bad thing was that I got a third degree burn from marinara on my leg

Over priced mediocre quality Italian food. Would only come back for the calamari appetizer. Portions for fettuccine Alfredo was very little. Would not go here again to pricey even for a resort. $82 for 2 people.

First time trying this restaurant, I have to say I an impressed, the quality of service and their kitchen have to n point flavors. Sam our waitress, she never keep asking if something was missing or if we needed something extra. What meal will not go well when you have someone taking care of you and your family like this. Kudos for Sortino's food and service!!!

So this place was not necessarily where we were headed to but seemed a better drive choice given the cold breezy rainy evening. Gps also thought we should park behind the building and walk from dont know where but oh well... we figured it out and also eventually find out they validate valet parking! Anywho coming to the main point.. food. And drinks. Food was delicious and drinks were mouth smacking mm mmm mmmm wow! We had ordered some fettuccine special and cheese ravioli. The food while being tasty can definitely use 3-4 more spoons of serving. Drinks were made to perfection: cucumber vespa was really refreshing and would make a great summer sit on the patio and enjoy drink. Sicilian sour really surprised us in a good way. The love dip is dressed up olive oil dip but in an enjoyable way. We casually mentioned about how it was our anniversary dinner and the server was so sweet to surprise us with a cupcake dessert. We didn't ask for it or expect it. That was just so sweet. While everything was great, I definitely would say it was pricier than what it really is worth.

First Night at Kalahari: The $76.86 Dinner Adventure Our first night at Kalahari Resort, we decided to try Sortino's. It was 8:30 PM, we were starving, and thankfully, it's right downstairs from our room. No cars, no fuss, just good food vibes. Sortino's is one of those places that walks the line between casual and fancy. You'll feel comfortable in your jeans, but maybe don't show up in sweatpants unless you're trying to test their dress code. Our amazing waitress, Annmarie, was a total gem--super friendly and quick with everything, especially the complimentary bread. And let me tell you, that bread? Crispy, warm, and basically an appetizer sent from heaven. Here's what we ordered: * Fettuccine Alfredo: Creamy perfection. Adults approved. Can't wait to order it again! * Pepperoni Pizza: The cheese was high quality tasting fancy--definitely not your average slice of a cheap pizza. * Kid's Cheese Pizza: Gone in record time. Not a crumb left. * Kid's Spaghetti: Tiny portion but my kids devoured it, declared it "amazing," and now think all spaghetti should taste like that. Total: $76.86. Was it delicious? Absolutely. The kids were thrilled, and honestly, when your kids are full and happy, life feels easier. But let's talk about the bill for a second--$76.86 for pasta and pizza feels like it came with a side of resort markup. That said, the convenience of not having to leave the building, combined with the great service and quality food, made it worth it. Will we go back? Definitely. Though next time, I might just prepare myself emotionally for the prices beforehand. Welcome to Kalahari dining, where even the spaghetti feels like an experience!

The mozzarella sticks have to be one of the top sticks I've had in Austin compared to all restaurants that serve the dish. The cheese for some reason really tasted fresh, not too oily which I was surprised with, nice crispy crunchy exterior. To have creamy, tart, crunchy, all at once, plus dipped in the house marinara sauce is a big A+ Love the pizza combo, 2 slices of pizza and a drink. Me personally, I feel the best way to grade pizza is to try the margherita. If it's good, then every other pizza should be good. Why? The margherita is a classic and if you can get the classic correct, then you can get everything else correct. Yes! They got it correct Great flavors of the creamy cheese, crispy, crunchy ultrathin crust, flaky, buttery, airy crust. Fresh vegetables and the pepperoni was awesome. I tried the lasagna and it was great but could be better. I was a little surprised that the sauce actually broke. It was too watery so I wasn't expecting that. I was expecting lasagna to be sort of heavy thick tomato sauce but it was thin and light. Got on my shirt. But hey who cares? It tasted good. Fresh ground beef, tangy tomato sauce, nice cheese on top. Shoutout to Kolten, our server. It was my first time at Tony Cs and I'll come back again. He explained the beers on tap, the menu, very friendly.

This time we tried a few different items including the Hunter Beef Sandwich, Club Sandwich, and a large pizza half BBQ Chicken and half Gyros. The Hunter Beef Sandwich was packed with flavor and layered generously with tender beef and fresh toppings, all served on soft, fresh bread. The Club Sandwich was a classic done right--stacked high with chicken, egg, crisp veggies, and creamy sauce, making it hearty and satisfying. For the pizza, we went with a half-and-half option. The BBQ Chicken side had smoky BBQ flavor with juicy chicken and melted cheese, while the Gyros side was loaded with gyro meat, veggies, and a creamy drizzle that tied everything together perfectly. The crust was nicely baked with a great balance of crisp and soft. Everything paired perfectly with their seasoned fries, which were crispy and well-seasoned. If you're in the Round Rock / Austin area, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. Consistently great food and a place I'll keep coming back to.

We did order a pizza, however, I feel that I've had better or maybe we just need to choose a different type next time. Promise Pizza definitely does deliver when it comes to how much you get for how much you spend. On the two occasions we went (in one weekend!), the place was steady, with a constant stream of folks coming in to pick up their order...even up to the point where they were closing. I do recommend calling in your order if you don't want to wait a lengthy period of time. However, it looked like the customers didn't mind and I even witnessed some conversations between the owners (workers?) and customers. The atmosphere inside of the facility was nice as well. I LOVED that they a TV going w/ YouTube videos of Karachi food stalls. I'm an American, but w/ a Pakistani background, I felt like I was home in the moments I was waiting for my order. When we found out, we rushed over for a Father's day meal. The atmosphere was pretty cool, interesting pictures on the walls, someone put a lot of effort, time and thought into the decorating of this establishment. All men running the joint, we told the guy who took our order(who was very nice), it was our first time here. They have been in business for 16 years(not at this location)! So lets get down to the food. My Husband ordered the two dog combo, one a Chicago dog, another a sauerkraut dog, it came with fries. He sad the dogs were amazing, they hit all the marks. The fries were ok, a little room temp(but to be fare we came there 30 minutes before closing). The soda's were really great, not two sirupy, not too carbonated, we enjoyed them. I ordered a pizza with Italian sausage added. They gave us our drinks for free, which was awesome. I didn't know what to expect with the pizza, but I was blown away by it. They should be very proud of the recipe they created. Most places over season/spice their sauces. The flavor of the tomato gets drowned out. This was absolutely not the case the sauce did not sow out the crust whatsoever it held its crisp the whole time. The sausage was wonderful. The cheese was everything you wanted on a pizza. I can say it's the best than crust pizza I think I've ever had. My husband tried it and we fought over who was going to be eating it for lunch tomorrow. It was huge. I wasn't expecting it to be that big. I will be dreaming about that pizza, and craving it. This is my go to place to get good pizza. It blows Nikki's out of the water. If you are craving some good then crust, pizza, or hotdog I suggest you go there. They also have chili fries, cheesesteaks, so much. They have one of those menus, where everything looks good, and it's hard to decide. Just try it. Warning, this pizza is 14 in(seemed bigger), and it being thin crust, and tasting so good, you might find yourself eating the whole thing. Wish we had pics to post, but we did not think of doing it, will do next time(which will probably be later this week, it was that good).

The fries were your typical frozen fries and came unseasoned, but that wasn't a big deal. We added our own seasoning. One thing to note is that they only serve Pepsi products. That's a big bummer for me because I'm a Dr Pepper girl, but it isn't a complete dealbreaker because they also offer tea. Now let's talk about my sandwich. It was loaded with so much meat that I couldn't even fit it in my mouth! I ended up taking some of the meat out and adding it to the fries, which turned out yummy.
