Inside the Kalahari resort in RoundRock Texas this is a pretty good Italian option. The Kalahari has really got it going on, lots to do, a great convention space, and good food options! It is not cheap but it is well done! While I was here for a company event I had the opportunity to hold a dinner for many of our team at this establishment. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and very good at taking care of our 10 person group. The food was VERY GOOD! I had a seafood pasta that was more than I could have ever hoped to eat but it was outstanding. All 10 of us loved our food. The venue itself was clean, well maintained, and up to date. It was a great option for the group and we didn't have to leave the resort! Being a resort venue it was a bit high priced! But the convenience helped to make up for some of that.

Three-cheese ravioli. Parmigiano-Reggiano, ricotta, mozzarella cheeses, housemade marinara sauce. Yum.

I had the three-cheese ravioli with Parmigiano-Reggiano, ricotta, mozzarella cheeses with housemade marinara sauce. It was very good and I thought a fair price. Located inside the KALAHARI water park resort. The other side of this restaurant is more like an Italian diner. Pizza and more lunch oriented. Service was fantastic.

Mmmmmmm so good I love it Ale slayed The only bad thing was that I got a third degree burn from marinara on my leg

We got a spot right away at the bar. The bartender was super attentive to us, and our food and drinks got to us quickly. We weren't rushing or anything. We were enjoying and taking our time. We got in and out in like 20-30 minutes. All the servers were friendly. The food was decent. The bolognese tasted a little salty, and the carbonara tasted good but a little too rich. The calamari was perfect, and I enjoyed that the most. My only real complaint is I think the food is overpriced. Otherwise, it's a great family sit-down place with decent food!

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and delicious food! We enjoyed our dinner at Sortino's and hope you do too!

Over priced mediocre quality Italian food. Would only come back for the calamari appetizer. Portions for fettuccine Alfredo was very little. Would not go here again to pricey even for a resort. $82 for 2 people.

First time trying this restaurant, I have to say I an impressed, the quality of service and their kitchen have to n point flavors. Sam our waitress, she never keep asking if something was missing or if we needed something extra. What meal will not go well when you have someone taking care of you and your family like this. Kudos for Sortino's food and service!!!

So this place was not necessarily where we were headed to but seemed a better drive choice given the cold breezy rainy evening. Gps also thought we should park behind the building and walk from dont know where but oh well... we figured it out and also eventually find out they validate valet parking! Anywho coming to the main point.. food. And drinks. Food was delicious and drinks were mouth smacking mm mmm mmmm wow! We had ordered some fettuccine special and cheese ravioli. The food while being tasty can definitely use 3-4 more spoons of serving. Drinks were made to perfection: cucumber vespa was really refreshing and would make a great summer sit on the patio and enjoy drink. Sicilian sour really surprised us in a good way. The love dip is dressed up olive oil dip but in an enjoyable way. We casually mentioned about how it was our anniversary dinner and the server was so sweet to surprise us with a cupcake dessert. We didn't ask for it or expect it. That was just so sweet. While everything was great, I definitely would say it was pricier than what it really is worth.

First Night at Kalahari: The $76.86 Dinner Adventure Our first night at Kalahari Resort, we decided to try Sortino's. It was 8:30 PM, we were starving, and thankfully, it's right downstairs from our room. No cars, no fuss, just good food vibes. Sortino's is one of those places that walks the line between casual and fancy. You'll feel comfortable in your jeans, but maybe don't show up in sweatpants unless you're trying to test their dress code. Our amazing waitress, Annmarie, was a total gem--super friendly and quick with everything, especially the complimentary bread. And let me tell you, that bread? Crispy, warm, and basically an appetizer sent from heaven. Here's what we ordered: * Fettuccine Alfredo: Creamy perfection. Adults approved. Can't wait to order it again! * Pepperoni Pizza: The cheese was high quality tasting fancy--definitely not your average slice of a cheap pizza. * Kid's Cheese Pizza: Gone in record time. Not a crumb left. * Kid's Spaghetti: Tiny portion but my kids devoured it, declared it "amazing," and now think all spaghetti should taste like that. Total: $76.86. Was it delicious? Absolutely. The kids were thrilled, and honestly, when your kids are full and happy, life feels easier. But let's talk about the bill for a second--$76.86 for pasta and pizza feels like it came with a side of resort markup. That said, the convenience of not having to leave the building, combined with the great service and quality food, made it worth it. Will we go back? Definitely. Though next time, I might just prepare myself emotionally for the prices beforehand. Welcome to Kalahari dining, where even the spaghetti feels like an experience!

Kalahari Resort has so many amazing food options, and I'm loving exploring them all! I tried Sortino's Italian Kitchen and it did not disappoint. I ordered the ravioli, and it was absolutely on point--so fresh and delicious. The employees were super friendly, and the restaurant was very clean. I also really loved the old Italian decor--it gave the place such a warm and authentic vibe. And that cute little car out front? Perfect for a fun picture! I can't wait to come back and try more. Sortino's is definitely a must-visit!

The pizza was nasty. We were super excited but were sadly disappointed. And now we can't go too far from the restroom

Gelatoro is located in Hyde Park on 45th street (faces this direction) not Duval Road as the address implies. There is a small Gelato sign on Duval street, which ironically is on the side of Gelatoro. The building houses both Juiceland and Gelatoro. I purchased a non-dairy lemon and strawberry gelato (two of four dairy-free options). The gelato was refreshing and tasty simultaneously. Gelatoro features house-made gelato with rotating flavors and fan favorites including chocolate, blueberry chip, and strawberry. Their coffee and espresso options offerings may also include affogatos for a sugar rush. Bakery treats include cookies, bars and candy treats including Dubai chocolate. The cashier was very friendly offering me several samples needed for me to make my final selection. There is a small amount of free parking available to customers for Gelatoro. In addition, the gelato is reasonably priced. In general, gelato is better for you than ice cream and more dense. A nice treat for a sizzling hot day in Austin, TX...

It had a great lemon flavor and was incredibly refreshing. I also enjoyed the Amarena Cherry. It is gluten-free. It felt more like ice cream due to the dairy, so it was less refreshing, but still a treat. I would have enjoyed it more with more cherries in it. I look forward to trying more frozen treats from Gelatoro.

I know many Austinites have an undying loyalty to a local ice cream chain but it simply does not compare to Gelato Paradiso (unless you're my husband and can't get enough of Mexican vanilla). The pistachio gelato is intensely nutty, perfectly smooth, and easily my favorite. The raspberry is a close second - packed with fruity flavor and the texture is somehow thick n creamy despite being a sorbet. It'll be hard for me to peel away from these two options, but samples of the dark chocolate and salted caramel were also so good. Ask for two flavors if you can't decide, the servers are happy to help. Not a ton of seating/standing options but there are benches right outside. Love the little window that lets us peek into the kitchen where the magic is made. Shoutout Baldinucci Pizza Romana forever and ever for introducing me to the wonderful Gelato Paradiso! They said they couldn't use that purchase towards points so that was a bummer. Otherwise a great time and will be back! It's so delish.
