One of my favorite spots in the Austin area and a place that never disappoints. Every visit to Promise Pizza has been a great experience, from the friendly service to the consistently delicious food. This time we tried a few different items including the Hunter Beef Sandwich, Club Sandwich, and a large pizza half BBQ Chicken and half Gyros. The Hunter Beef Sandwich was packed with flavor and layered generously with tender beef and fresh toppings, all served on soft, fresh bread. The Club Sandwich was a classic done right--stacked high with chicken, egg, crisp veggies, and creamy sauce, making it hearty and satisfying. For the pizza, we went with a half-and-half option. The BBQ Chicken side had smoky BBQ flavor with juicy chicken and melted cheese, while the Gyros side was loaded with gyro meat, veggies, and a creamy drizzle that tied everything together perfectly. The crust was nicely baked with a great balance of crisp and soft. Everything paired perfectly with their seasoned fries, which were crispy and well-seasoned. If you're in the Round Rock / Austin area, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. Consistently great food and a place I'll keep coming back to. read more

Hunter Beef Burger. Hunter Beef Burger. Hunter Beef Burger. Okay, YES. I know. The place is Promise PIZZA, however, I was just the BIGGEST fan of this Hunter Beef Burger. One bite and it took me back to Karachi. It was spicy, yet flavorful. The beef LITERALLY melted in my mouth and even as I write this, my salivary glands are going into overdrive. We did order a pizza, however, I feel that I've had better or maybe we just need to choose a different type next time. Promise Pizza definitely does deliver when it comes to how much you get for how much you spend. On the two occasions we went (in one weekend!), the place was steady, with a constant stream of folks coming in to pick up their order...even up to the point where they were closing. I do recommend calling in your order if you don't want to wait a lengthy period of time. However, it looked like the customers didn't mind and I even witnessed some conversations between the owners (workers?) and customers. The atmosphere inside of the facility was nice as well. I LOVED that they a TV going w/ YouTube videos of Karachi food stalls. I'm an American, but w/ a Pakistani background, I felt like I was home in the moments I was waiting for my order. Ooooo and don't forget the falooda! They have a few flavors, but I'm a classic gal and it really HIT THE SPOT. A MUSTA VISIT in the round rock area. It's so well located near downtown round rock, has ample parking and I'm so impressed with how they've used a small restaurant space so well. The service is wonderful, we received our food really quick and they accepted our minor substations. Portion sizes were huge for the prices and they didn't skimp on toppings. The chicken wings were crispy perfection, we got the garlic parm and 5 pieces turned out to be more than enough for two especially with the huge pizza. Be aware the tikka with the pickled jalapeño is actually quite spicey and I had to pick them off but my husband loved them. I meanwhile loved my pineapple and meat combo. The crust was surprisingly flavorful as well so nothing was left! Ordered the spicy tikka pizza for carry out. It was ready In 20 and boy did it make the car smell great.It's a 100% halal menu so no pork. The flavors are unique and flavorful. We drove all the way from South Austin to try this place and it did not disappoint. It is situated in a shopping center and appears very small, but it is perfect. You order at the counter and if you're eating there, you can settle up at the end. We tried the chicken tikka pizza, which is spicy with jalapeños and it was so delicious. If you order a large or extra large, you can split flavors. They have other yummy Indian classics like butter, chicken and paneer pizza crust, a medium, not too thick or too thin Just perfect. We also tried their jalapeño poppers. These were so good and I definitely recommend I noticed they have ice cream there as well while we were there they were lots of other guests, big groups and families. This place seems really loved. we have it on our list. I can't wait to try more flavors of their pizza. I'm intrigued by the gyro pizza. read more

What an amazing find! I was in Round Rock spontaneously and stumbled across this gem. I was greeted with a smile as soon as I walked in. The lady answered all of my questions about the menu and helped me place my order to eat in. I have a picky kiddo, but finding an item on the menu was not difficult. We ordered a small cheese pizza and the Chicken Tikka Calzone. The calzone was not too spicy, it was so flavorful and the veggies were still crispy from freshness. Visiting the Austin/Round Rock area. Found this place randomly while looking for something close by for dinner. Wonderful find! So good that we plan to go back for dessert tomorrow! Had their Chapli beef burger, chicken burger, hunter beef burger, tikka pizza, pistachio ice cream and classic falooda! Even though there is limited seating and mostly a take out place we decided to dine in. Very attentive service to make sure we were taken care of. Chapli burger - (didnt have the sweet chili sauce that it comes with since it was primarily for my kid)very decent sized patty, chapli had the flavor reminiscent of a traditional chapli - i think there was no egg in it but very good! Crispy chicken - again patty size was good. A little saucy but the sauce complemented the chicken well so cant complain. Good chicken piece and crispy without too much breading with a fresh bun, what more can you want! Hunter beef burger- a rare find. The hunter beef quality was amazing. The sauce is what brings it together. Its their mustard based sauce with some spices that give it quite a bit of kick. Im not a fan of mustard but would have this sauce again! All in all a very solid burger! Reminds you of the OG but the sauce is different for sure! Chicken tikka pizza - very fresh and gives you the vibe of a very nicely done home made pizza. Flavors come together with the sauce and cheese even though its chicken tikka. The spices on the tikka do not overwhelm the pizza which i think is the key to it being as close to perfect as can be! Pistachio ice cream was on point has the nuts in it which give it the natural flavor. There may be a slight bit of pistachio essence but very faint. Alot of ones available do not do justice like this one! Classic falooda - as good as having it anywhere in Pakistan. Not too much fuss and with all the ingredients that go with it and balanced and as they say truly a Classic! Definitely will be my go to whenever in Austin! read more

Review - Covid 19 edition. Good. Dining in currently closed but they do curbside pickup. Can call in order or order online on their website. I call in because online ordering does not allow you to put toppings on one side only. Pizza is pretty yummy even after consuming 20-30 mins after being made. I'm sure it's even tastier on the spot. Only tried the regular crust and it's already pretty thin so can't imagine ever trying the thin crust! You can find gluten free and other health conscious items and quality ingredients. You can also find unique toppings here such as Gyro and Chicken Tikka. All toppings are halal so can order sausage, pepperoni and bacon for those with that dietary restriction. Toppings are pretty pricy and not evenly distributed the times I have ordered and a bit stingy too depending on the topping. See pics. Where's that bacon man! I've got to say, the Gyro Hero pizza I picked up tonight from Promise Pizza was amazing I have had it several times before, but tonight's pizza was perfection. When I opened the box the pizza was literally glistening. The crust was crisp and there was ample sauce just like I like it. As I bit into the first piece the flavors blended together in a rich creaminess that danced on my tongue. I ate another and another, each piece as delicious as the one before. Pizza Crawl no.6: ordered takeout so review is strictly about that experience. Ordered pep calzone, veggie and shrimp scampi pizzas. The dough on both pizzas tasted/texture was akin to Dominoes pizza dough. The veggies were fresh and crunchy which was a plus but the pizza was regrettably meh. The shrimp scampi had better taste so the dough was palatable. The calzone was tasty but was only filled with five pounds of mozzarella cheese and some pepperoni but no ricotta which is traditional. Promise Pizza was delivered to us for our working lunch. I was pretty excited because I have heard a lot about their fresh ingredients and whole wheat pizza. Delivery was timely. Pizza was still hot. I noticed my pizza was a bit over cooked on the outside (pictured) the middle was still good. I was not sure if I saw the mushrooms I ordered on the pizza. I assumed it would be on top, but the pizza was still good! The whole wheat thin pizza crust was really good. When I folded the pizza to eat it the topping did not fall off the pizza like other places. That's a positive in my book!! It was the right amount of sauce.
