We had a leak in our shower behind the wall and under the pan. We were referred to SOS Anytime Restoration. These guys came out quickly and took control. They had to cut into the drywall in several spots and set up fans etc. They knew the flooring would have to come up so they very carefully wrapped up the furniture in the master bedroom. They set up plastic sheeting because of the smells that would come from tearing up the old shower. These guys are professional and top notch! The personal was respectfully and The work they did was good; they handled the demolition and the first part of the project. However, it took a considerable amount of time, and they charged by the hour. We only discovered the total amount we owed after they finished. Initially, they made many promises that were hard to fulfill later on, with some never being honored. A few of my items were either lost or damaged after their packing and storage to do the repairs. The compensation I received did not cover the losses I reported; they claimed that those items weren't lost. After some time, they unexpectedly contacted me to inform me that they had found some of the lost items and brought back only a few of them. However, some items were never found, and they maintained that they had not taken them. I grew tired of inquiring about these losses and eventually accepted that they were gone. The surprise from the final bill from SOS make us take the decision to hire other company for the second part of the project, the reconstruction, who provided a fixed price for the work. read more

I'm a Real Estate Broker for 40 years and manage a condo for one of my clients an elderly lady living in Tecate Mexico. We experienced water damage from a leak coming from the unit above ours and when I went to investigate I was greeted by Oscar Sosa who appeared to have been contacted by the plumber hired by the owner of the unit that was the cause of the leak. He was pretty aggressive in selling his services to me and also to the owner but he was there with all his equipment and despite my discomfort with the way he sold his services I gave him the opportunity to handle the problem. Turned out to be a big mistake unless you like being verbally insulted in a loud and aggressive manner and threatened in an equally loud, unpleasant and threatening manner. He hired a company to perform the work of tearing out all the damaged materials that included asbestos and scheduled them to arrive at 9 am in the morning. He sent my client the authorization contract the night before this work was due to begin. When I arrived at the property to let these workers into the unit my client called me asking if it was ok to start this work before the insurance company had approved the cost and I relayed this question to Oscar Sosa by phone. I was then greeted with a volley of loud and aggressive verbal abuse and then informed me in a very rude and aggressive tone of voice that if my client did not sign the authorization right there and then he would cancel all work, pull his equipment out of the property and essentially abandon my client. I informed him that he had a contract to complete this service and if he were to follow through with these threats then by client would have grounds to sue him for breach of contract. This fact seem to incense him even further and he terminated the conversation. Oscar Sosa then called my client and did exactly the same thing to her as he had just done to me. He verbally abused her spoke to her in a very loud and aggressive and threatening manner and repeated the same threats to her. In 40 years of working in the real estate business I have hired numerous people to perform all kinds of work on properties that I manage or help clients to buy or sell and I have never once been spoken to by anyone in the manner that Oscar Sosa spoke to me. I will say in ending that the other people at this company were perfectly pleasant and professional (Cody thanks for all your help) but I will never ever give them any more of my business even if they were the only company on the planet performing this service. read more

If I can give zero stars, I would. Do NOT trust them!!!! Check with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) first: SOS has an "F" rating with multiple complaints. I had water heater damage on April 25, 2024, and SOS Anytime Restoration was paid in full by my home insurance (Farmers) in the sum of $6,392.10. I made multiple attempts to speak with owner Francisco Sosa, and his son, Oscar. When they first came on April 25, 2024, I was told: 1. That SOS will perform the demolition AND repair drywall/reconstruction. I specifically asking about matching the baseboard, and Oscar said he could. 2. Since the deductible is $2,500, Francisco said he would give that amount back once SOS got paid by Farmers. SOS only completed the demolition portion and left the job incomplete. I ended up with a hole in my garage/home for 2 months. I had to find another contractor to finish the job. BE FOREWARNED!!!! read more

I have a massive water leak, possibly due to a tree and its roots damaging the water pipes. I met with Cisco yesterday and I can tell right off the bat that is an amazing company. I have 2 dogs and they always bark and annoy guests that come in the house, but when Cisco comes in the house he was like the dog whisperer, my dogs stop barking and just chilled and layed down. Cisco took many pictures and videos, and explained the process needed to fix the problems. I called the local restoration company being SOS Anytime restoration to help us when our garage ceiling was dripping water. They were able to be on site within 30 minutes and quickly determine where the leak was coming from and gave me the option to either get a plumber or use one of theirs, their Plumber was able to help me out with a very fair price especially for being A late night call. They went ahead and got us set up for the night and by the next morning they had the crew out, performing the demolition and removing all the wet drywall and insulation. The whole process took about five days. With both me and my wife working during the week they kept us informed when they were going to the property and exiting the property as well as keeping us updated through the whole project. I truly cannot speak highly enough about this company! I came across this company by accident because of an upstairs neighbor water leak.(SOS came down to check my unit) I could not have been more lucky! Francisco and his entire team are beyond amazing! They do not take any shortcuts and they take extreme pride in their work and communication! They are very skilled and knowledge and working with your insurance company or HOA they also make amazing recommendations for contractors and outside vendors to help with reconstruction after the restoration has been complete. I use them for my primary bathroom and one week after it was remodeled and complete my secondary bathroom was flooded and needed to be remediated! I did not hesitate to call them immediately once I seen water. I have had other water issues with this particular condominium in the past and have tried other restoration companies and they were nightmares. They cut corners and it felt like they were working for the insurance companies and not for me or for what was best for my unit. I never once felt hustled by SOS restoration however, I did feel hustled every time previously before discovering them, with other restoration companies. It's unfortunate that I have to write this review, but given the experience my partner and I had, it's best we inform others on what to look out for when hiring this business. Back in November 2023, there was water damage in our 200 sq/ft master bedroom/master bathroom and we were referred to SOS by our plumber. Initially, everything was great with SOS and we spoke with Cisco and his wife on the first night. They said they would help us through this whole process with our insurance claim and pictured it rainbows and butterflies for us. SOS was very confident with working with insurance companies. We worked closely with Oscar. SOS was very persistent that additional demo and asbestos testing needed to be done to our bedroom and bathroom. SOS mentioned an abatement company needing to do testing and demoing of the area. Our insurance company left it very clear they would not be covering abatement or additional demoing that was outside the scope of work they were covering. We left it very clear to SOS to please follow the insurance's lead with regards to what work needed to be done. SOS convinced us to move forward with the abatement because regardless demoing needed to be done and that our insurance would have to cover. Once again, we left it very clear to SOS to please only follow the lead from the insurance company (as we did not want to be paying anything that the insurance would not be covering). Fast forward, we received an $8,000 invoice from the abatement company (United Environmental) stating our insurance company was not covering. We were never once in contact with the abatement company as SOS took lead in instructing them on the work that needed to be done. Cisco told us to contact the owners of UE to start a payment plan while we got an attorney or insurance team to review if they would be reimbursing us because the company needed payment for work that was done at our property. Mind you, at this point SOS had completely stopped following up with us on this claim as they had already been paid out for their work by our insurance. The most upsetting part about this entire process is that we did not receive a single cent to help restore our home to its pre-loss conditions(it still remains this way). However, SOS received $5,084 for packout (moving a few items from our room to our garage) and $1,853 for mitigation (they were initially charging the insurance $4,473). In total, SOS received close to $7000 for work that in no way worked in our favor. After carefully reviewing the packout invoice that SOS had sent to our insurance company, I noticed there was a lot of false information provided that we had not known about and they got payout for. Also, their invoices are very confusing and hard to read. I have now been trying to get in contact with them to get someone to explain the invoice to me line-by-line and they keep responding to me via email that my packout invoice is attached. They are continuing to avoid this conversation I'm trying to have with them. PLEASE read/request detailed invoices, detailed quotes of work needed done whether with SOS or any vendor they send to your home. PLEASE always be present through any work they do at your home as you do not want any faulty information included in their invoices. From the bottom of my heart I do not want anyone falling victim to such a scam. We pretty much helped payout SOS, while in return they left us with an $8k invoice from a company we did not choose to hire in the first place. We had good faith in SOS which is why we chose to move forward with their suggested vendors. We've now been placed on a financial hardship because we can not only not afford to pay the $8k, but now there might be a lien placed on our home because we cannot afford to pay for this bill because we can barely afford to reconstruct our bedroom and bathroom as it is currently left demolished and in absolute no use. I've already reached out to Cisco and his response to me was "when it comes down to the abatement please discuss that with United Environmental." In other words, "you're on your own." I understand some people may have had good experiences with this business, but for those who are considering hiring them, PLEASE inform yourselves first before accepting any help from them. Do not let them convince you about any work needed done on your home unless you know for a fact you're covered. PLEASE also know what insurance company you have because this business got too confident in getting us help and in return left us worse than what we started (words from our attorney and public adjuster). We could have been better off not hiring them in the first place if it meant receiving only $1000 from our insurance company rather than receiving an $8000 bill from a company we know zero about. Yes, this is one of the few bad reviews of many good ones, but this won't be the last one and you don't want to be the next one. read more

When we had our first plumbing clog that caused significant water damage, the plumbing company we hired at the time called SOS. Be Aware!! Do not sign their work order/waiver. They will hold you accountable for work they never performed! On 11/20/23, Oscar inspected a leak in my bathroom ceiling coming from the unit upstairs. He exaggerated the extent of the damage to my walls and pushed his fear tactics to pursue a claim with my insurance. He left a dehumidifier running and tried pushing demo a couple days later without my insurance's approval. Once I realized the pushiness of these folks, I decided to cancel and asked them to remove their equipment. I had their equipment for a total of 3 business days, and that was the extent of my time with them. A couple months later (January), I got an invoice from SOS for $2083. The invoice claims they demoed my walls, cleaned out the inside of the walls, and started restoration with a supervisor on site. A detailed list of work that did NOT happen. They were also holding me accountable for reimbursement on a falsified invoice from their preferred plumber, Blueline Plumbing. Carrie paid the invoice for Blueline Plumbing on 11/21/23. The invoice stated they had come and performed a leak detection and found the root cause on or prior to 11/21/23. However, Blueline Plumbing didn't even come out to my home until 11/22/23 (I provided proof of this). At one point, they reduced the cost of the invoice and acted like they were doing me a favor, calling themselves "more than fair". There is nothing fair about paying a fraudulent invoice!!! I still refused to pay for work that didn't happen, so the owner then threatened to put a lien on my home if I didn't pay the reduced invoice and threatened that the lien would be in the full amount of $2083. Finally, I demanded an invoice for the days I had the dehumidifier, because that was the only thing that was accurate. I paid them $338, which should have been the amount of the invoice in the first place! Even without photo proof of the demo or opened walls, they were persistent I pay for work that wasn't performed. The entire company stood their ground for this false work just because I signed their work order. It felt like a never-ending battle with these folks. Between Oscar, Stacie, Abrielle, Cisco and Carrie, not one of them stopped to do the right thing. Carrie and Cisco were among those in all the email threads, and not once did they offer to rectify the situation or even contact me directly, like I requested several times. Came home to find water coming out of my crawl space. When calling out the Plumber he said wouldnt be able to go inside due to the amount of water and with this being an active leak I contacted SOS Anytime restoration who got on site same day regardless of how much water was found these guys suited up and went in no problem, they were able to find the location of the leak. They quickly shut off the water and were on site removing it and making access for their Plumber to go in and perform the fix. The next day they had 3 guys performing the cleanup under the house. The speed of these guys working was crazy good! It's been three days since the cleanup and everything is great as it never happened. This is to express my thanks to SOS anytime restoration. I was lucky enough to use their services as a flooding (water damage) and extraction group company. The group of guys that showed up work diligently to locate the damages that happened in my house, no questions asked. They worked hard and thorough. At first, I was adamant to have them do the work because it appeared to look like they're wrecking my whole house. Each time they find the cause of water damage, (it was extensive), they marked it for the demolition team. After the assessment, they started placing the contents of the room in boxes to avoid further damages. Their work was labor intensive. After the SOS group finished with the work that involved packing everything and moving them to a container. Words are not sufficient to describe the amount of effort and dedication to make sure my house is ready for reconstruction and restoration to a fully functional and secure and safe estate. They let me know what to do step by step and we're very direct and informative. They were able to get my claim approved and kept me informed the whole way. They take photos and videos of everything and don't miss a beat. I really appreciate the fact that they came out that night. if they had not, I would have had extensive damage to my bathroom flooring and not just the ceiling.
