I'm now working with a rat removal service but before A2Z allowed me to hire them & get in contract they should have advised me to be sure to complete the proper step beforehand of ensuring the rat infestation was resolved. Now i'm out $3500 for an unnecessary garage cleaning and still have a rat infestation. As a new homeowner (or any homeowner) I'd assume a good business would make sure I've done the pre work (in this case rat infestation elimination) before accepting the job. That's in my view a shitty thing to have done to me as the client. Really disappointed because they seemed professional throughout the process. So for this reason of not holistically proactively making sure the proper prep was done I cannot rate this business any higher than a 2 star. I'm not angry I am however very disappointed and feel that I've been tricked. I cannot recommend this business.

After my insurance company caused complications that led to First Call terminating the job which I understood, I received an invoice in May of last year. I paid that balance in full with two separate checks within two weeks. I have the receipts, the copies of the checks, and the bank statements showing exactly when First Call cashed them. After a full year of zero communication, I woke up today to a voicemail and email threatening to send me to collections within 48 hours. They claimed they had been "trying to reach me" for 12 months, which is untrue. I checked my call logs and my email history; there was absolutely nothing. When I called and provided my proof of payment and the exact dates they cashed my checks, they admitted the "error" was simply because someone forgot to check a box in their system. It is incredibly stressful and offensive to have your credit threatened because a company can't be bothered to check their own bank deposits before sending out threats. As a veteran, I live by a standard of integrity and doing your due diligence. Relying on a "checked box" as the Bible instead of doing actual research is lazy and unprofessional. Do better, not just for your customers, but for the reputation of the guys out there doing the actual work.

Basically, they had to tear out the drywall and insulation from the wet area, dry and dehumidify the area for days, and then put on moon suits and remove any mold. We were able to have 2 techs come on a Friday and then let the dehumidifier run over the weekend. We also had to tear out our upper cabinet since the top was damaged by water. On Monday, they came back to remove any leftover mode and patch things up. The total price came in well below the estimate, which is a huge plus. Very happy with the service and efficiency. If you ever suspect you have water damage from leaks, call these guys and get the problem resolved to ensure mold doesn't form or worst, spread. Note that their services are purely restorative - they'll dry out the water-damaged area and get rid of all the mold.
