Rat infestation in my garage (never had rats before so didn't know the proper process)…read more I had to dispose of half the items in my garage. Junk removal took care of that job & removed the rat poop. Then I called A2Z to clean everything assuming that's all I'd have to do. Last night I saw a giant rat run across my garage so now I've paid $3500 to hazmat clean the 1/2 my garage but still have a rat infestation. I'm now working with a rat removal service but before A2Z allowed me to hire them & get in contract they should have advised me to be sure to complete the proper step beforehand of ensuring the rat infestation was resolved. Now i'm out $3500 for an unnecessary garage cleaning and still have a rat infestation. As a new homeowner (or any homeowner) I'd assume a good business would make sure I've done the pre work (in this case rat infestation elimination) before accepting the job. That's in my view a shitty thing to have done to me as the client. Really disappointed because they seemed professional throughout the process. So for this reason of not holistically proactively making sure the proper prep was done I cannot rate this business any higher than a 2 star. I'm not angry I am however very disappointed and feel that I've been tricked. I cannot recommend this business.

My Highest Recommendation for Bio 911…read more I had a mold problem caused by a leaking faucet and roof at my Mom's house. The mold remediation company that I was referred to, went ahead and started tearing out drywall before any contract was signed. They also would not answer most of my questions and only sent a single photo of what they found and that was only after I asked them to send me photos a second time. I called Bio 911 and spoke to Kirill, the owner of the company. He told me that he doesn't like to take on jobs that are already being worked on by another company, but he told me that he would be happy to come out to inspect and evaluate my problem. He was incredibly thorough. He checked the drywall where visible mold had been seen, checked a nearby restroom even though no mold had been seen in there, the outside wall of the building adjacent to the affected drywall, and even the walls of an adjacent apartment. He detected moisture inside of the outside wall of the building, which was something that the other company had missed, and he outlined the steps needed to correct the moisture problem and mold issue. Kirill did all this work simply because he likes to help people. He did not charge me a penny. How often can you find someone that does things just to help people? It is super rare and I am giving Bio 911 my highest recommendation as a result.

However, crawlspaces can get moldy and wet from lack of care. If you ever encounter rodents, there is a good chance they came via the crawlspace. After all, we do hear noises at night at times, which is creepy. Jacob visited and gave a comprehensive review and estimate. We basically went for a full package of rodent control, cleaning, and installing a new vapor shield to keep it dry. The while job took maybe 2.5 days with a crew of 3 workers each day. Outstanding quality work. First phase was sealing up the homes around the house and crawlspace, and laying traps. The attic was inspected too. This was followed up with weekly followups to ensure no more rodents. This scope was subcontracted to Golden State Critter Control. Highly recommend working with Greg. The next two phases involve cleaning and eventually reinstallation of the vapor shield. Compared to what we had before, it was day and night! I also appreciated the crew alerting me to a leaky drain pipe. I later worked with a plumber to replace a cracked 3"D drain pipe that connected upstairs to downstairs. It was fixed in about 3 hours with two plumbers. Definitely recommend Crawlspace Clean for rodent control and crawlspace cleaning. 5 stars.

The main issues boil down to three things: excessive pricing, sub-par workmanship, and a very short warranty period. About a year ago, I discovered a bad rodent infestation. Looking for a quick solution, I made the mistake of hiring Crawl Space Clean without getting multiple bids. I spent over $14,000 on rodent-proofing and subfloor insulation replacement, only for the rodents to return. When I called them back, I was informed that my one-year warranty had already expired. They charged me extra just to patch entry holes they had missed during the initial job. During that same visit, they claimed I now needed a vapor barrier, quoting me an astronomical $16,000--though they offered a high-pressure "$500 discount" if I signed the contract that very day. Feeling suspicious, I finally did what I should have done at the start and called three other highly rated contractors for estimates. Every single one of them came back with quotes under $7,600 (less than half of Crawl Space Clean's price), and all of them included a 3-year rodent warranty. Furthermore, the contractor I ultimately hired to install the vapor barrier pointed out that the subfloor insulation previously installed by Crawl Space Clean had inadequate support and was already sagging. Learn from my expensive lesson: always get multiple bids, and avoid this company.

I also appreciated that they did attempt to limit the extent of the remediation as much as possible, working to preserve as much of the cabinets and structure. As for the cost, I felt it was quite fair. As a counter-example, I got an email quote from another provider that was almost 3X the cost, but didn't even know what the work was. After communicating through the Yelp Services option, Marco showed up the morning of during the window of time to get a free consultation. Starting in the bathroom, instead of selling us his services, he told us honestly that we could fix it ourselves by purchasing a few items since they have a minimum charge that wasn't worth it for the bathroom fix. He took the time to walk us through how to fix it and why vinegar doesn't solve the root of the problem. He pointed out things from our paint to our bathroom ventilation issues that we should address. For the shed, he truthfully told us the cost of how much it would be for him to fix it versus us doing it ourselves or hiring some people he was training instead. He wasn't afraid to recommend other people instead of himself and I truly appreciated the information he gave us. We told him we wanted it to be a gym and he even gave recommendations on how to prevent moisture problems in the future. Sometimes it's tough with people being salespeople and selling their services (and I get that they need to sell themselves for their business) but I'm grateful to meet people like Marco who I'd definitely recommend to anyone who needed mold remediation services.

They came by on October 1st during the heat wave when it reached 103 degrees outside. They worked from about 10 am to 4 pm to completely remediate our mold situation. When they knocked on our door at about 1 pm, they were dripping in sweat. By 430 pm or so it was done. Patrick was nice enough to leave his air scrubber for three days to completely purify the air. Patrick is an amazing businessman because he is an amazing PERSON. This guy's life is driven with PURPOSE & PASSION. Do you guys remember the Ultimate Warrior from WWE? We were pretty stressed, thinking this could turn into a major (and expensive) problem, so we started calling around trying to find someone reputable who could come out quickly. Steve from Water Shield Leak Detection was able to come out that same afternoon, which was a huge relief. He was thorough, ran multiple tests, and took the time to explain everything in a way that actually made sense. More importantly, he was confident that we weren't dealing with a major issue like we originally feared. He gave us a few things to monitor and try on our end, and even offered to come back and do additional testing to confirm everything at no extra charge. That kind of follow-through is rare. We were incredibly grateful he could come out on such short notice and, honestly, just put our minds at ease. Highly recommend if you're dealing with anything similar.

When we were finally ready to revisit it, they were willing to honor the original estimate, which we really appreciated. This is our first home and the first major renovation project we've undertaken, so we were a little apprehensive going into the process. We ultimately decided to expand the project into a full remodel, and even with the additional scope, the updated price remained very reasonable and close to what we had originally expected to spend. Once the project started, everything moved quickly and smoothly through each phase. Communication was timely and responsive, which helped keep the project moving efficiently from start to finish. Tony, the foreman, and his team were extremely detail-oriented and did exceptional work. The craftsmanship really shows in the finished bathroom. Everything looks carefully installed and precise, and the tile work in particular is incredibly clean. We're extremely happy with how the bathroom turned out and with the overall experience, especially for our first major home project. For my Danville home - I had hideous colored concrete floor for the Italian/Mediterranean home. I upgraded/renovated and had Enrique's Tile install travertine. I love marble but the maintenance is just too much (3 teenagers and 2 cats) unlike the travertine. Still beautiful, natural stone but less maintenance. I will gladly recommend Enrique's Tile; will use again for future projects.

I hired Speedy Restoration Inc. for mold remediation and repairs including drywall, painting, and flooring. While the actual workers were excellent--skilled, courteous, and efficient--the experience with the contractor representative, Suzi, was deeply frustrating. Initial responsiveness vs. follow-through: Suzi was very prompt and communicative when trying to win the business. However, once the work started, her responsiveness dropped significantly. Calls and texts often went unanswered, and I frequently had to follow up multiple times just to get basic updates. Lack of transparency: She refused to provide her own estimates upfront and instead relied on the insurance-approved claim amounts. After gaining access to my insurance details, she began adjusting her scope and pricing to match the coverage rather than providing independent quotes. Poor communication and professionalism: I had to separately follow up with both the insurance company and the contractor to understand the next steps. There was no proactive communication or clear planning. Suzi also did a poor job of aligning with the insurance process. For example, she included mold cleaning in the estimate but never conducted any mold testing to confirm its presence. When asked about it, she casually dismissed the concern, saying mold testing wasn't mandatory--an approach that felt careless and unprofessional. Unprofessional behavior: When I raised my concerns about lack of responsiveness and planning and accountability, she deflected responsibility and claimed I kept changing the scope of work--an excuse that didn't reflect reality. Micromanagement required: While the mold remediation was done well, the repair phase was chaotic and required constant oversight. There was no clear schedule, and I had to stay on top of every detail to ensure things moved forward correctly. Advice to others: Be extremely clear and upfront with expectations. Insist on receiving detailed, written estimates before sharing any insurance information. Do not disclose your insurance coverage early in the process, as it may be used to shape the contractor's pricing rather than provide fair quotes. The workers deserve credit for their craftsmanship, but the overall experience with Speedy Restoration Inc. was disappointing due to poor communication, lack of transparency, and the need for constant micromanaging. read more

I have to say it's been awhile since I've written a Yelp review but I had to for this company. I've worked with Speedy Restoration before and again they never fail to impress me. Once again their professionalism and excellent customer service had me at "WOW!" Joe and his team have done an awesome job fixing the damage from a malfunction supply line that traveled two stories of my home (Bathroom and Kitchen). I was very impress that Joe inspected my property within an hour of calling Speedy Restoration Inc. This was the first water damage incident I have been through and Joe took the time to thoroughly explain the entire process with my homeowners insurance company, the demolition, mitigation and repair/put back. I really appreciate that his team was on-site the same day and they started the full de-humidifying and restoration. It was nice that everything was completed in a few days. The team members were so helpful because they explained the things they were doing and why it was done. I really hate paperwork so I do appreciate the team helping me out. They made sure I had all the correct paperwork done. This shows me that this is how a business should be run. I would definitely recommend Speedy Restoration to any one who is looking for a great company with excellent team work and professionalism. I gave full five star to Speedy Restoration, to Gus and his team, for their speedy, professional, thorough and fantastic job on the restoration of my garage common wall due to a pipe leakage inside. I have a townhouse that has a shared kitchen pipe in the common wall of the garage. The pipe leaked and damaged the wall and flooded my garage which needs to have abatement treatment before the plumber can start fixing the leak. I found Speedy Restoration through Yelp and got very quick estimate from Gus followed by onsite visit of his professional contractor Carlos, whom quickly came and started opening up the damaged wall and treated the flooded area. He also pointed out to me that the damage is in the shared area that should be covered by the HOA, which helps me greatly. His price is very reasonable comparing with other abatement companies and charges NO unnecessary jobs. Even though the job has many different steps, from opening up the wall, cleaning and drying up, to treating the flooded area, and eventually putting back the new drywall and paint it, Gus and his team handled it very professionally, smoothly and efficiently. At the end of the day, a very detailed and professional report was provided which helps me to provide to HOA. This guys are fantastic! We had a water damage coming from another floor that soaked under the floorboards and had to start water mitigation right away. Jeff and Elias came out right away, brought the best equipment and took thorough moisture readings of every point in our floor and walls and walked me through every part of the process and quickly put together an estimate. Jeff helped me with all the insurance paperwork and guided me how to start my claim. Immediately after work authorization form was filled out, their technicians Hector and Edgar started to do the extraction with this impressing truck mounted unit and fancy gadgets. They also had 4 other technicians carefully packing and moving all my household contents. I was very fascinated by their professionalism and their speedy process, I guess that's why they are called Speedy Restoration. It was approx 5 days process for Speedy Restoration to dry out completely of my structural walls, ceiling, carpets, hardwood flooring and subfloors. Speedy Restoration also did the re construction of my water damaged home. They not only restore my home, but they made it look better then it originally was. If you are looking for a company to assist with smoke remediation, look no further. In search of someone to help remove cigarette smoke from our home (the previous owner had smoked in the home for 20+ years), I came across Speedy Restoration on Yelp. When I called in, I spoke to Suzi and she was both friendly and incredibly informative. She walked me through the entire process and a few days later, came out in-person to do an estimate. Suzi was thorough with her assessment and answered all the questions I had. Knowing nothing about cigarette smoke remediation, she made us feel comfortable and we decided to bring them in to do the job. A crew of 3 people ultimately completed the job - scrubbed down every hard surface in the home (walls, ceilings, cabinets, etc.) and they also used ozone and hydroxyl machines throughout the home. The smoke is essentially gone. Suzi came by afterwards to inspect the job and even offered to come back later with ozone and hydroxyl machines if we noticed any remaining smoke odor. I called Joe Ortega at 7:00 A.M. on Monday morning to repair hardwood floor damage in bedroom, Replace bathroom vinyl, and carpeting in Livingroom & Diningroom due to water damage caused by tenants when they tried to steam clean wall to wall carpets themselves DIY style. The crew was there at the property at 9:00 A.M. and immediately uncovered more hardwood damage then I expected and the steam cleaning crew used electronic moisture probes that showed the carpets were severely wet throughout the entire house 2 days after tenants left keys. Joe provided me with a detailed 12 page damage report with photos and cost estimate which was extremely reasonable for a full service repair service. We feel so lucky to have found Joe! We bought a new house and had the bad luck to have our washing machine installed improperly which led to water damage in our bathroom and hardwood floors. We had a waterline burst in our master bathroom. It was unbelievable how much water flooded our master bath, master bedroom and the spare bedroom next to that. I had to fly in from out of state to my mom's house to deal with mold mitigation after a bad bathroom water leak. Suzy at Speedy Restoration, who managed the job, was extremely kind and knowledgeable - she understood that I was under a lot of stress to get this done quickly because of my mom's illness and that I was away from my family for an unknown amount of time. During the winter storms of January 2023, a leak sprung somewhere in our roof. Water was coming down in through the walls and into our living room. Another leak had sprung over the garage and mold was growing. Suzie was one of the first to respond. She quickly had her crew come in and open up the wall to prevent dry rot from coming in. Her crews were super respectful, kind, and mindful to minimize dust and interference with the house. When things had finally dried out, Suzie got her subcontractor Julio on the job to repair the drywall. It's an old house, and he took real pride in his work. Last night I found myself in a panic, while my 6&7 year olds were taking a bath. I stepped away for a second and came back to a huge puddle of water on the floor. I googled several companies and came across Speedy Restoration. I immediately got a call back from Suzy, I explained what happened, she said she can come out to inspect, this was at 7pm she was at my home within minutes, before entering my home she put on gloves, booties and a face mask ( I was impressed ) she then checked the floors, walls, and baseboards and explained in great detail why and what she was doing, thankfully everything was dry. Speedy restoration repaired damaged from leaks in my home that contributed to mold in 2 rooms. They did an excellent job eliminating and treated the mold area . After my insurance company caused complications that led to First Call terminating the job which I understood, I received an invoice in May of last year. I paid that balance in full with two separate checks within two weeks. I have the receipts, the copies of the checks, and the bank statements showing exactly when First Call cashed them. After a full year of zero communication, I woke up today to a voicemail and email threatening to send me to collections within 48 hours. They claimed they had been "trying to reach me" for 12 months, which is untrue. I checked my call logs and my email history; there was absolutely nothing. When I called and provided my proof of payment and the exact dates they cashed my checks, they admitted the "error" was simply because someone forgot to check a box in their system. It is incredibly stressful and offensive to have your credit threatened because a company can't be bothered to check their own bank deposits before sending out threats. As a veteran, I live by a standard of integrity and doing your due diligence. Relying on a "checked box" as the Bible instead of doing actual research is lazy and unprofessional. Do better, not just for your customers, but for the reputation of the guys out there doing the actual work.

We were concerned about it, worried about any longterm effects it may create to our home and our health, and so decided to look for a company to remove the white substance build up, treat the the whole area, and apply protective barrier to prevent the moisture. After getting an estimate from another company, we decided to go with Bordi Restoration. The work included: scraping the top soil, spray a disinfectant onto the soil, used a HEPA air scrubber, and then fitted a crawlspace moisture barrier. They just completed the work today. The work was estimated for three days, but they finished in two days instead. Everything was done nicely, with the moisture barrier fitted neatly, really clean install. The workers were friendly and respectful of our property. Communication with Craig (owner) was easy, as he responded quickly to our text messages, explained things very well, his responses being detailed, but also easy to understand. It was also easy to communicate with Donovan, the staff member who handled the scheduling and billing, as he was very easy to work with, and very helpful. The value was very good, as the estimated cost was cheaper than the other company, and the work they did came out very nicely. First, I'd like to say that the service was great! Craig had came out to take a look at our closet…read morewhich developed surface mold due to moisture and lack of air circulation in the corner and helped us understand if there's other sources of water/moisture/leaks we need to be worried of. We got a quote which was very competitive and reasonable and moved forward to setting a date for the crew to clean and do a deeper assessment. We had accidentally forgotten that we agreed for the work to start on a Thurs instead of Friday, and the office called right away to clarify and sent the team out very quickly after we sent them away. The cleaning crew themselves were great! Shu, the forewoman, was on top of it, communicated the problem and solution in a very straightforward and simple manner. Was very thorough with pictures, instructions, and her assessment. Craig identified that we may need a moisture barrier in the crawlspace to really help decrease the amount of moisture impacting the walls during the rainy season. Another quote for the closet and bathroom clean-up was sent to us, which had not changed in terms of pricing. We knew that the 2nd project would require a new quote later. After 3 days of drying, we contacted Craig to coordinate time for pick up of the equipment. We also received the finalized invoice- the cost ended up being nearly 2x the original quote, which caught us off-guard. Craig explained that the labor hours had to increased from an estimated of 4 hrs to 12 hrs and covered for travel (though we only live about 2.5 mi away from his listed office) and equipment loading time, which surprised us as it was never mentioned or called out. There was already a $100 service/trip charge, so for additional hrs counted for travel felt unreasonable. The crew was on-site for 5 hours max. He did give us a discount which was appreciated, but we felt that the quotes and pricing model were not transparent. This really disappointed us, especially given the quality of service and how easy it was to work with Craig initially. We had a 2nd project to encapsulate the crawlspace which we went with another company whose pricing ended up exactly as estimated, despite taking a 1.5 days more than anticipated.

Thankfully he was able to send his professional two-man crew the following day. The two men were efficient and clearly competent, perfect for the task at hand. The bedroom issues were easily resolved, but the bathroom is where they really succeeded. Not only was the mold wiped and removed, the surrounding tile grout was scrubbed and shiny like new. A nice touch by these guys. After a weekend of dehumidifying Frank took air samples in each affected room and sent them to an independent lab. All the tests passed with flying colors. I would recommend DiBlasi Restoration in a heartbeat. Frank has been at this for several successful decades and is righteously confident in his methods and protocols. I was so overwhelmed due to the extent of the damage but he took the time to explain what was happening, what needed to be done, and why. He may not be the cheapest option out there (although still reasonable priced!), but you get what you pay for. The level of professionalism, honesty, and expertise he brings is worth it. What I appreciated most is that it genuinely felt like he approached the job as if it were his own home. He was focused on actually fixing the problem the right way, not just doing the minimum or up charging you for unnecessary work. Many of the companies said they didn't have anyone available, and 1-800 WATER DAMAGE was out of the first to respond. I didn't know 1-800 WATER DAMAGE are franchises of a larger company, but so far I had a good first impression. They sent one of their Project Managers Angel Torres to do an assessment. He came when he said would, was very friendly and explained things in a clear manner. After they sent a quote, I felt comfortable proceeding with them. Before an insurance adjuster could do their assessment, Angel came before to setup high grade dehumidifiers and air filters and do a hard surface cleaning. Angel also offered to be around with when the insurance adjuster came in case there were any questions he could help offer, I don't know if that's a common practice but Angel seemed sincere. Angel was very thorough in documenting/phographing every part of the process. He also offered to talk and explain things with my tenant, which I know helped put my tenant's mind at ease, most times the vendor doesn't bother talking to the tenants and leaves that to the owner/landlord to do, so my impression is that was above and beyond. Angel estimated the job would take 4-7 business days, I think his team did it in 5. While I'm sure they probably deal with bigger scale jobs than mine, Angel and his team were very responsive to my needs and my tenant's needs. Very good experience, although I really hope I don't have to need their services again.. at least for a long long while.

His team's thorough mold/ moisture remediation (removing the old moldy vanity, damaged moldy wallboard, and floor tiles) was completed in a week The remediation quickly received Satisfactory test results from SAFE, the environmental testing agency we independently hired. The restoration work then moved well with the replacing of sheet rock on the wall (where mold/moisture had been) but the laying of the replacement floor tiles was stalled when the team discovered that those tiles were slightly too short of matching the original 24"x12" floor tiles. To stick to our budget, we had opted to get the tiles on our own, not realizing that brands can differ in their tile sizing. This resulted in an unexpected interruption of the project for the PPR team while we found another tile brand true to size. Drew remained patient and flexible with us. The tile team did a beautiful job laying the new replacement tiles. After that, the last step was installing replacement vanity which was also done perfectly.
