I needed three trees removed from my back yard. I called for an estimate and they came out the same day on a Friday. The estimate was great and they were at my house the following Monday to remove the trees. Found on yelp, called for an estimate, they came that same day. Gave a very reasonable estimate and I asked to schedule. It was Thursday they said they would come Monday. Showed up earlier than expected, that was great. Finished chopping down a whole tree within an hour. Also trimmed another tree down, way very precise about the whole thing. Removed bushes and a very viney tree/bush from my back yard. Cleaned up extremely well. Will definitely use this company again if I need tree cutting services! read more

We were excited to have our tree removed by Sosa Tree Services and the day they arrived, their truck could not fit down the alley. We were not upset about this, but decided it would be best to get a permit from the City of Alexandria so we could ensure all cars in the alley were moved so they could get all needed equipment to our rowhouse yard. Fast forward several months and Sosa Tree Services has not gotten the permit, after saying they would get it (we provided a name at the city and she said she never received any paperwork) and they have stopped answering the phone. This was quite disappointing given that we thought the city might have been holding the process up, but apparently Sosa Tree Service has decided to not move this forward and didn't communicate this to us so we could look for an alternative. read more

I called five tree companies to get quotes on removing two large trees from my yard. Two companies wanted me to send pictures of the trees to give an estimate instead of coming out. Crazy. Sosa showed up in a few hours to actually look at the trees and ultimately gave the lowest estimate. Their crew showed up exactly on time on the day scheduled and they worked hard all day. The took the trees down, cut up the big limbs for my firewood pile and left my yard cleaner than when they arrived. Stumps were ground down the next day. A huge tree fell in my grandma's backyard and half was in the neighbors yard. I sent an email for an estimate and they were out the next day. The estimate was comparable to other companies but I chose them based off of neighbor references. We were very impressed with the service and how fast and efficient it was done! Sosa Tree Service did an amazing job on my backyard project. They exceeded expectations, were prompt, responsive and affordable. The scope of work included clearing the lot of many overgrown trees,brush, bushes and they cut up 2 large oak trees. They ground the existing stumps/root balls and elevated many low hanging branches. Outstanding. The men showed up on time. Even though it was cold and raining, they worked through it. They protected my landscaping lights from damage. They were careful not to allow heavy limbs to hit the house or anything else. They don't use spurs that hurt the trees. They advised me about tree fertilizing... which I had been negligent about performing. They cleaned up every inch of the area they worked, leaving the yard better than it looked before they started. No one likes to have to spend money on tree trimming. Having said that, this was the best money I have spent on my yard in years. read more

I LOVE these guys ! STELLAR job ! After a big storm, tree removal prices doubled and tripled. I had one estimate for $2500 and another who insisted on $2500 "possibly even $3500" PLUS he said that I had to sign a contract agreeing to give him all the house repair work or he wouldn't give me a written estimate. I had a bad feeling about that one. I had another estimate for $2500 who dropped it to $1500 a week later but Sosa's (Arnulfo Sorto) came out and said they'd do the job for $900 and it was a done deal. This was a big honkin' tree, fully covering the back of my house and crushing my deck. The guys were fast. They made sure the heavy pieces didn't damage anything below and cleaned the debris up nicely. read more
