That said, I am 72 years old and made it through reasonably unscathed. The rafting trip is pretty easy, though you are expected to paddle. When going through the rapids you have to listen for his commands to bring your paddle in and grab onto the handle for dear life. Careful of sunburn - if you don't slather on the sunscreen you'll get fried. The kayaking is a little more challenging. I almost fell out of the kayak twice, but was able to self-right with my paddle. The youngest in our group was 15 years old, and all the younger kids I saw on the trip handled it with no issues. The kayaks are inflatable with no real keel so they are a bit challenging to steer, so make sure you are up for the challenge before committing. I had a blast and would do it again in a heartbeat!!

The rafting itself was amazing with a variety of rapids and scenery. We saw a lot of wildlife around the lodges and during rafting. Our guides made great lunches which we devoured at gorgeous locations along the river banks. The front desk staff that helped with our reservations as well as pre and post trip lodge accommodation at Morrions lodge were nice. We got heavily rained on the last day so I'd book earlier in the summer and bring better rain gear next time, but the guides were great even through the rain, setting up shelter and getting us warm food. WELL I came away having one of the best experiences of my life! Warden's (Kikakeci) Canyon is stunning and quite challenging. Steve & Logan are so highly skilled & experienced, I never felt in danger even in the toughest spots. They timed our paddling from perches so well round boulders, rapids and tree limbs. I remembered to stay grounded in my feet and legs...a lesson learned when my tuckass hit a rock so I almost went flying on a not nearly as well guided or equipped class 2 trip last year in Virginia. Noah's guides have the rafts outfitted so well staying grounded in our seats was more than feasible on our ride. Ollie was a skillful driver & wonderful host to us as well just not a river guide that day. Flora & fauna viewing en route & on the ride were superb. Not sure how any outfit could do this better. Garrett Helfrich was all that I hoped for in a guide. His ability on the oars made it all exciting, yet safe. My wife settled down after the first few rapids after she saw just how skilled he was.
