I selected Soto & Brothers from a review list of the five best roofers in Clark County, WA. All five came out, inspected my roof, presented proposals and went over the details of what they would be doing. Castro from Soto & Brothers did his bit and came in with a quote thousands less than the others. Based on multiple reviews of this company, that is their modus operandi, along with high-quality work and using the same high-quality materials as the others, so I chose them. In the end, it took 2 days with a crew of not less than 6, and as many as 10 workers (plus crew boss) busting tail on my modest roof project. I watched the whole thing unfold. Everyone on the crew was friendly, happy and put out 110% effort. The entire process was efficient with suppliers coming in as scheduled with the necessary materials. They brought their own porta-potty. The problems they encountered were minor and fixed quickly, happily and without excuses. Most importantly, they charged me what was promised on the estimate. They did an excellent job, used quality materials as promised, and it was a completely no-BS, no-excuses process. I did a personal inspection...the roof looks great! The skylights were replaced with Vellux products that included remote-controlled shades, the clean-up was complete and if more contractors did business the way Soto & Brothers operate, there would be a lot less hesitation in wondering what we will be getting for our money. Soto brothers replaced my roof 3 years ago. They did an amazing job, hard working, timely, and professional. Recently I decided to have my attic re-insulated, in the process they found mold in my attic. No fault of Soto brothers, when the house was built, the builder vented the bathroom attic fans in the attic instead of the roof!. The plywood was fine on the outside, not on the inside. Alvino the owner, came out immediately and went into my attic to confirm the problem. He sent out one of him employees a few days later, Jose. Jose did an amazing job, was in my attic and then on the roof! Absolute crooks.They overcharge and ask for $75! an hour, per person for unqualified labor (such as removing construction debris etc.). They want paid by the hour not job. When you do the calculations, they come more expensive than most of the competition, exception being companies like DaBella (awfully expensive). Think twice before comiting. read more

Our living room ceiling showed evidence of a leak. We had several roofing companies come to inspect--they had several solutions but none of them would guarantee their work would totally fix the leak. Alvino reviewed the situation and we decided a new roof with new vents, etc., was the only way to be certain the leak was fixed. His men did a great job, and the clean up they did afterwards was superb--hardly any evidence on the ground that we had an old roof (2 layers) torn off and a new roof put on. After getting bids from 4 other companies, Soto & Brothers came in a couple thousand dollars cheaper. Now I know you might think that is because they use an inferior product, but that is not the case. The reason is because they are cash/check only. No credit cards. They completed the roof in just 4 hours and were so easy to work with. They use good quality products and that was confirmed by our neighbor who used to be a contractor. Alvino and his crew did a fabulous job on our roof this February! We have a 3500 sq foot home the he completely reroofed in five days! That included a tear-off of a shake roof, new 1/2 inch plywood, then the new composite roof with flashing and new skylights. They did a lot of repairs under the plywood that were not on the contract at really low cost. Alvino is a very good roofer, who works with his crew on the roof. He is fast, efficient and reasonable. Gotta say Alvino was a professional from start to finish. He came over several times before we actually started with no fees. We just had several questions. The price was extremely reasonable.
