I came here for a work dinner and my favorite Minneapolis foodie booked the restaurant…read more I was so excited to try this place since I have a Laotian friend and he swears by the food! I quickly browsed the menu a week before but was so excited to see the space and order dinner and a few drinks. Right when you come in the doors, it feels like you're transported to a completely different area. The decor is absolutely beautiful and the indoor outdoor living and seating was something out of this world this place is a must see and must try food. The service is quick and everyone is there to help. So my Laotian friend told me that I needed to order the Siin Swan as an appetizer and then the New York strip Laab with sticky rice since that's like their traditional meal. We also ordered these the basil wings that was served with this amazing spicy tomato paste and then for the entrées we did a green curry octopus that was cooked to perfection. I've never had octopus like that before. We also ordered the duck fried rice and the Massann curry everything was so delicious. We were wanting more, but we were so full. We took one quick look at the dessert menu and we had to order the pistachio cake again absolutely phenomenal, fantastic flavor and the crunch of the pistachio was perfect. I cannot wait to come back here and tell everybody about this place to make sure that they come here when they're in Minneapolis area.

There were 2 tables separated which was a bit awkward. Not sure if that was a choice or how it's just always set up. I believe the room required a $1000 min spend (or maybe more) but to my surprise the menu was pre planned (personal nightmare for me as I don't eat pork/beef/seafood - most of the menu). I looked at the menu days before and there weren't many things I could eat... but I was excited to see they had basil wings. We had welcome drinks which were good and were able to order drinks from the cocktail menu. The food started coming out but 2/4 ppl at our table didn't eat beef/pork and again we didn't realize there was a 2nd special menu for another person at the other table so that table got foods different from ours and we had to order additional chicken and rice. Pretty much wasted 1/2 of the dishes of food on our table. The basil wings were good but the rice wasn't good - very bland. The bill came to almost $3k and split 16 ways (after the event) $180 for 5 wings, bland rice & 2 cocktails definitely left a bad taste for me. I get this was the terms of attending the event and may be more so on the host not communicating how it works prior but for $3k definitely could have been better. After we ate we were told they have a speaker hook-up for music, people were already leaving. We did have a great time but definitely should have had music going upon arrival. Super tiny parking lot but plenty of street parking. They have a really cute patio and the main restaurant is cute!

If you're looking to try a dish that is uniquely Khmer, this soup is one of them. The soup has flavors from roasted rice and kreung, a fragrant blend of lemongrass, makrut lime leaves, garlic, galangal, tumeric. Cheng Heng's version had green beans, round green eggplants, spinach, young papaya, and kabocha squash, plus a protein choice (I chose chicken). The somlaw was hearty, and very filling. The portion was more than enough to share. I can imagine myself ordering this on a cold winter evening. Their menu was full of amazing Cambodian dishes, but unfortunately, I was one, otherwise I would have ordered other items like the Somlaw Machu Kreung, and Somlaw Machu Angkor as well. I would love to return but with company, so I can taste more of their dishes.

Chive cakes had a nice chewy texture inside and crispy outside from being fried. The noodle soup bowls here are a great portion size... they range from regular-L-XL. Regular was a good size for my friend and I, especially when combined with our apps. The roasted chicken was tender and had really good flavor and color. Both noodle soup broths are on the sweeter side. Overall would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to try Cambodian food for the price, quality, and portion size.

You scan the QR code at your table, order online, pay online and someone delivers all items (to your table) in takeout containers. Even with this updated experience, without "wait staff", everyone was helpful and attentive. The signature sticks, with the yum-yum sauce, has to be my personal favorite. You have to be so careful not to fill up on their delicious wontons and purple egg rolls (appetizers!) The restaurant and restrooms are clean and welcoming - nothing fancy, just what you would expect for small town dining! It looks like they host local musicians from time to time. The owner was working alongside his team and so friendly! He often treats his customers to his signature sweet wontons (secret flavors!) Our only complaint, and this comes paired with a picky eater. The description of their dishes doesn't necessarily disclose all vegetables/ingredients used. So, some surprises were had! It was delicious and a very minor complaint! We can't wait to visit again!

I always find my saucy noodle/rice deliveries have greasy dishes or spilled/sticky sauces but everything was packaged extremely well. The Pad Thai has fantastic flavor, the veggies are crisp and fresh, and the peanuts add the perfect little crunch. Add a twist of lime and you're in business for the next three days of lunch or dinner. The cream cheese wontons were mediocre, I wish there was more wrapper to kinda soak up some of that cream cheese but it has a good flavor and I love the dipping sauce. The eggroll wasn't my favorite but I'm not huge on eggrolls to begin with but they look really good and they're perfectly crispy. Now, the Vietnamese coffee cannot be slept on. Order it every single time, just trust me. Creamy, bold flavor but it doesn't feel like you're drinking a cup of creamer. I'd go back for the coffee and Pad Thai once a week if I could.
