After many many months of research and putting it off I finally called Dr. Falvey's office. From start to finish it was the best dental experience I have every had. Everyone was extremely kind, calm and patient, including the receptionist, the hygienist and Dr. Falvey. There was no judgement and lots of listening and understanding of how my phobia developed. Michelle, the hygienist was gentle, regularly checked in with me and told me I could use nitrous if needed. I never actually needed it! Dr. Falvey came up with a treatment plan that incorporated my phobia and changing my pattern of going from deep cleaning to deep cleaning. The receptionist encouraged me on the way in for having made it to the appointment and on the way out for making my next one. The first visit with x-rays was pricey but for me its worth the extra cost to actually go, have a positive experience and avoid more expensive problems later. Follow up visit prices seem pretty in-line with other dentists. If you are fearful of the dentist this is the place for you.

My regular dentist said a tooth was chipped, and did a filling on the tooth. It still hurt. Ouch. After a couple of more weeks, I called my dentist's office back. My dentist office, as well as some other folks recommended Dr. Bernadette. On the first appointment I couldn't tell her the exact tooth that hurt... it just hurt. She did a few x-rays, did a test, poked around, and determined which tooth was the problem. Each step of the way she told me what she was doing and what the problem might be. The next appointment the root canal was done. Painless. But still not fun. For 3 or 4 days after the root canal, my jaw was still sore. And then the 5th day... everything was fine. No pain. If you have to get a root canal, I highly recommend Dr. Bernadette in Grass Valley.

I call them, the Lady that told me how much I would have to pay and that my insurance would cover the rest, was no longer there and she was a Temporary worker. The "New" Lady on the phone inform's me that my bill is now $474.00 because they had just got a Payment from my insurance last week. I have had lot's of Dental Work done in my life and NEVER have I been misled as to what I will Owe.

Dentists don't do that. He was extremely friendly and cared more about myself then just making an appointment. I showed up he didn't try and get me to pay exam fees, or other unnecessary things like most dentists would do. He helped me, he was very friendly and I can tell he truly cares about his patients. After talking to him about fillings and asking other dental procedures I can tell you this man knew his stuff. Thank you for the great service today I will be back in a few months to get a cleaning. I only asked her if we can change my appointment to Friday and she said no. I said okay, I will come to my original appointment which is today. Right after I stepped in the office she said that my appointment is cancelled and she has nothing for me. When I opened my mouth to ask "why" she yelled at me saying "don't argue with me". So I even didn't have a chance to talk or even make another appointment. Maybe she has hearing problems or something, since neither me nor her never used the word "cancelled" on the phone yesterday, but the first thing she told me when I stepped in was "your appointment is cancelled" and "don't argue with me" and of course, in a very aggressive and impolite manner.
