Gary Soudan and his entire staff are absolute perfectionists in every aspect of this dentistry practice. I have been going to Dr. Soudan for nearly 20 years and always enjoy the positivity and professionalism of his office. Everyone in this office makes patient care their top priority. I was always self conscious about my smile before I had some cosmetic dentistry done on my front teeth where there used to be a few large gaps... he completely fixed that and I always get compliments about my teeth being so perfect. I have also had a root canal, a few fillings, crowns, regular cleanings etc. and every procedure has been handled with the most gentle touch. I have never had dental insurance but have found that the price is always a surprisingly good rate especially when compared to the service. I'm not sure what the one negative yelp review is about... Ignorecan guarantee after going to Dr. Soudan for nearly 20 years that person is clearly mistaken about his analysis of this business. I found doctor sedan through a work colleague of mine had been Going to him for a couple of years. When first met doctor Sudan and his office Steph I felt very comfortable and thought I had come to the right place.Boy what a shock I got my cleaning done which was terrible it was the worst cleaning I've ever gotten and it was quite costly. Secondly I wanted him to replace my front teeth bridge that was messed up by another dentist and he seem to reluctant to adress. When he filled a tooth The end of last year he hit a nerve or Or something. After the numbing wore off I was in excruciating pain I waited a couple of days and called the office. Their advise was to wait a few more days and if it continue to give him a call back. My whole face from under my I down to my upper gum line was Aching so badly oven on that I finally called the office again and had to wait a month for an appointment! When I went back They took an X-ray of the tooth that I said was killing me and found that there was a little cavity in the backside of the tooth that doctor Sudan had missed.To fix this one tooth with It cost me nearly 400It cost me nearly $400 for a stinking filling! To this day, a year later, my tooth, gum and face, on the cheek, still aches and sensitivity is ridiculous. He had previously filled an eye tooth on opposite side and did such a crappy job, the tooth is pink instead of white, little particles of filling material comes out when flossing! Both teeth require redo! Imagine, when I questioned receptionist about having to pay twice for the doctors oversite and doing something to the nerve, I received a letter from Dr. Sudanks after advising that I should imd another dentist! Did he offer to refund the money he charged to do lousy dental work????? NO, but now I have found an excellent, skilled and honest dentist, I will be getting fixed and am recontacting Dental Board, as they recommended after I got a second opinion, with a formal request for full refund of all redos and complaint about this office and their unetical practice! Skip the dentist in Oroville they are not skilled in their field! Try Dr. Robles on Chico, Dr. Castro in Chico or Dr. Hinton in Yuba City! go to the best first and avoid redo! read more

If you're on a fixed income i would not recommend this dentist,I was told one rate and then got a surprise bill for a totally different rate ,just seems like a bait and switch to me !! Just Saying !! I've always been blessed with good teeth but have always had a fear of Dentists. An assistant that worked with my favorite dentist who retired told me about this doctor because she decided to work for him since he was as good as the doctor that retired. Well I broke a front tooth yesterday and today it is already fixed. Every one in the office was so kind to me, I felt like I was a guest in their home. Christine made sure I was comfortable and had all I needed and Maddie kept me entertained while I waited in front. Bridget is super fast and such a pro when working with insurance and customer's needs. This doctor has a GREAT sense of humor and his consideration and caring for others is OBVIOUS. Dr. Soudan has been my dentist for several years now. To tell the truth, I used to hate going to the dentist. This has been changing for the past few years and the more I see Dr. Soudan, the less tense I feel. That alone is amazing. He is an excellent dentist for several reasons: 1) The quality of his work is great. He extracted a tooth from my husband that we thought might require an oral surgeon. Nothing he has done has required later repair (unlike previous dentists). 2) He pays attention to the patient and actively watches for early signs of discomfort -- before you are actually in pain. If you are the least bit concerned about pain, this is HUGE. 3) His staff is friendly and they remember us from visit to visit. They are quite skilled as well, and they genuinely seem to like their jobs. His receptionist, Bridgett, is a dental assistant as well so she knows which questions to ask when you call for an appointment. 4) While he does take most insurance types, he does not take MediCal or Medicare so he has helped us prioritize our dental needs and has explained the options we have available.
