Parking can be tight because the parking lot is small and this place is busy! I didn't know what to expect but upon entering everyone in there was there for the same thing... a good breakfast! Hello, I really like Gutbusters but each time I order the BLT the lettuce is old and bad. I let the first sandwich go by thinking it was a mistake. Now I see that it's not. Please don't hide this bad lettuce in the sandwich, it's not good or healthy. The sandwich I bought today had two (2) problems. A good breakfast for cheap. The food was just okay but, the portions are large. I got the grits on the side and that was more than two portions. It didn't have much taste even with the cheese. The salmon cakes were disappointing, lacked seasoning. If you're looking for a filling warm breakfast, give it a try. I may go back and try other items on the menus. The service was quick. I am not sure why I am just discovering Gutbusters, but I am so glad that I did! I have been to the one near my job over off Camp Creek and I have been to this one on Candler Road. Not only is everything quick, but it is fresh and extremely delicious. I got a croissant with extra cheese and eggs, and it was nice and buttery and perfect. It melted right in my mouth. The eggs were fresh, the cheese was perfect and I didn't need to add salt and pepper. I got the shrimp and grits with extra sauce and no shrimp. The sauce that goes on top of the grits (by the way, you can get cheese grits or regular, I opted for cheese) and this is the best I've ever had and for a fraction of the price. The sauce also has beef sausage in it for the flavor but I picked them out this time. Will definitely eat them next time! The line is organized. I ordered mine through clover and it was ready when I pulled up 8 minutes later without issue. The line moves quick and the food is fresh and HOT. This may be my new breakfast go-to! read more

An 81 Health Score provides a sketchy welcome, but isn't actually wholly unsurprising in this day and age. Additionally, none of the violations were of the "bugs and rodents present" variety, which is an IMMEDIATE "Hell NO" and I've already eaten there plenty, so on we roll. The customer service is usually pleasant, gracious and efficient (Unlike their location across town). Me and a high school buddy(class of 82 from Chicago Vocational) needed a meetup spot on Candler Road. He lives in Conyers and I in Mableton so half way point Decatur. In my former life, I sold Gutbuster's food & beverages in the early 2000's. They threw down then and haven't missed a beat since. My buddy had the shrimp & grits, and me ALL the available proteins with a side of cheese grits. We enjoyed it ALL! Best cheap breakfast you can get. I'm from New Orleans so I'm accustomed to good corner-store/gas station food. This place delivers that. I wouldn't say this place is as good as what I get in New Orleans but it's definitely the best I've had out here. I woke up wanting breakfast but didn't want to cook. And for the past few months I've been saying I was going to stop in Gutbusters which is literally up the street from where I live. To today was the day that I placed an online order because driving by I usually see their parking lot is full as they are always full of customers. So I place my online order which said it would be ready within 15 minutes. I arrive for pickup exactly 15 minutes later. Walk in a see several people ordering and waiting in line for their food. I approach the online & phone order pickup line and was immediately greeted. She asked me my name and was able to locate my order. When I say quick and easy pickup and service, I was in and out within 2 minutes. I didn't get the young lady's name but she was really nice when assisting me. Despite busy super busy with customers, their service was A+. Although this was only my second time having Gutbusters for breakfast the food was amazingly good. I had two orders of their french toast because that's my favorite breakfast food. And an order of cheese grits which were the best cheese grits I ever had. You won't find a better option. $7 is gonna cover enough grits, eggs, meat, and bread to solve any hangover possible, so that's enough to cover everything else too. It's good, cheap, and if you tossed the tray of food at someone's head it's enough to knock them flat out. Yes, that's the best frame of measurement I can use at this time. So since breakfast is covered, let's talk the rest of the menu. Lunch wise? They make a pretty bomb hoagie, which shouldn't be odd considering they're definitely more a hoagie shop than a breakfast spot... but no one goes there for that and it's a shame. Their Italian is great, 12' & fries for like $8. Their rice dishes are good too, I like the lamb and rice for like $11 and once again, it's enough to be super filling.
