I've been going here off and on for years. Seems like it was hitting according to who was preparing the food at times in the past. My brother showed me the tip of asking for gravy for the turkey wings so that you have flavor and they are not dry. The dressing here is bussing! My brother and mom gets it I do also when it's available. I think that it's Wednesday and Friday just ask for yourself to make sure. The Mac and cheese is okay. Sometimes I get the Mac and cheese with yams if dressing is not available. The food comes with a piece of cornbread. The lunch special is cheaper the dinner cost more. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The staff is unprofessional, disrespectful, and inconsiderate. I called to ask what was on the hot bar, and the person I spoke to listed the meats. When I inquired about the sides, he rudely handed the phone to someone else and said, "She's asking for too much." The nerve! The next representative was equally rude, not even saying hello. I didn't realize someone else had taken over the call until I heard, "What do you want?" I explained that their menu wasn't available online and I needed to send someone to pick up food. Instead of helping, he said he couldn't "entertain" my call and hung up on me. When I called back to address the unprofessionalism, he couldn't have cared less. I even explained that I care for a disabled spouse and can't just drop by to check the menu. His response? "Either you come up here or you don't." He went on to say they don't have time to tell people what's on the hot bar. I remember when this place opened back in the 2000s--my family and I used to come after church. I have been a patron of this establishment for years. After my experience today I will not spend my money nor will I recommend. I along with several friends wanted Kings today. Two of us called to find out what sides were available & meats. The Website does not have this information so we had to call. The first person that called was told by Kings that they don't have time to entertain this & the establishment hung up. I called to speak to the manager. The owner identified himself as the manager. I was told they don't have to time to give the sides. He also said he told his son, that he cannot take calls & tell people. The owner was rude & kept talking over me. He also told me the people standing in line in front of him want to know the same thing. I won't detail the remainder of the conversation. I ended up hanging up. I also want to say I was not rude nor was I unprofessional. The rudeness & lack of respect means I'll never patronize this establishment again and again I will not recommend it. Not that they are going to go out of business, but they lost out a lot of money. Maybe if their website had the information no one would have to call. Oh & since they do not have time to entertain calls maybe they should consider putting their menu options on a recorded line so people can have the information. I just ordered from this restaurant for the first time off DoorDash. I ordered ox tails and they came over rice and my 2 sides were Mac n cheese and candied yams. I also got a side of cabbage, peach cobbler, and peach drink. Y'all ... just go order from here it's SO GOOD! First, I love how they packaged my food. It came in sealed bags so no one can tamper with anything. Now on to the food, Oxtails were so tender and delicious. Mac n cheese was cheesy and candied yams were amazing. Not a bad spot at all, my pop's recommended this place as he visits here pretty often. We ordered the Turkey wing plate and the pepper steak plate. The flavor was there with the wings and pepper steak. Also The sides were a good compliment as well. Their greens were really good. Not over salted either which is a major plus. Stopped in today after getting my nails/toes done and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection. You can't order over the phone so I suggest getting there early. Everything looked so delicious however I decided on the oxtail dinner over rice, Mac n cheese, greens, cornbread and 2 desserts (1 for now and 1 for later). The fried catfish (when it's not sold out) is amazing and their sweet potatoes make you wanna slap somebody. The collard greens are REALLY good also. The cabbage is just like grandma's. Breakfast apparently ends at 11am but at 10am I was unable to order a salmon platter cause they were out in the buffet???
