Arrived two minutes late and the girl inside just stared at me for 2 mins until she opened the door and wouldn't let me in but last time I did a 4:30pm class, a lot of people arrived late coming into the classroom and the instructor started late too and I remember starting 5 mins after 4:30.... I love the around the room windows and that it's up on the 2nd floor. I ALWAYS recommend this place to people but I've learned that it really depends on what class and instructor you take. For example, I took a power vinyasa with kelsey that was fantastically led even though the class was so booked we were packed in like sardines. On the other hand, took a vin + yin with ~6 other ppl in the class and you could barely hear the instructor to follow along. Incredible team of instructors that are highly skilled, knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. What I love the most is that they don't just lead the classes from the front but often joined us on the mat, practicing alongside us. This not only creates a sense of camaraderie but also speaks to how much they genuinely enjoy the studio and its practice. Wide range of classes available throughout the week. The studio overall is fantastic! The new yogi special or Groupon deal for people wanting to try unlimited classes for 30 days is a really good deal! After that, the memberships are a little pricy. The studio, bathroom and lobby is very clean! In the women's restroom they even have complimentary face wash, face towels, spray deodorant, hair dryers, and mouthwash! They have showers and lockers to put your things in. The classes can get a little crowded, but that goes to show how much people love this studio! The sequence class is always the same flow and is great for meditating and self reflection. This class gets really hot 100-105 degrees. The vinyasa classes are usually very challenging and always changing! They also offer aerial yoga classes (not heated)! Make sure to reserve your spot on the mindbody app! The instructors work with you to achieve your goals and are so attentive! They offer modifications for challenging poses to adapt to yogis from beginner to advanced! When I started, I was terrified to do inversions, and now I can do a headstand! The people at the studio are so friendly and I never feel judged! TLDR: clean, airy studio with great instructors and a variety of classes with a welcoming environment for all levels! read more

BEST HOT YOGA IN DFW! I've been with Soul Sweat for over 5 years and I will never take hot yoga at a different place. The owners, Instructors and staff are just phenomenal. Very personable people with great hearts. The vibes at the studio are immaculate, there is no place that could ever compare to this studio. The sense of community is so strong, there is no judgment here. Come in to take a class and leave feeling refreshed and wonderful. There is such a variety of classes and they are even open 7 days a week. The studio itself is beautiful, bathrooms and lobby are clean and they have wonderful retail as well. In the DFW area? Nice, clean, modern studio. Good teachers. Excellent Groupon deal for 30 days unlimited yoga. Nice schedule accommodates working professionals. However, the music is a distraction. Too loud, making it a challenge to hear the postures being called by the instructors. Where is a traditional yoga school around here? I love this studio! They have plenty of options for classes 7 days a week. They vary in types and times of classes. The new location is easily accessible. Parking is a private lot in back. It is fine until lunchtime. They share with 2 restaurants. Be prepared to fight for spaces around lunch. Use the Groupon if you are new. I liked this studio a lot at first, but as I continued to go, I realized the classes become really repetitive. The Soul Sweat 60 & 75 are the exact same every time, and I typically like classes with variety. The soul strength classes were good at first but those became repetitive as well. I never truly felt challenged because everything was the same every time. Also, the music was always too loud so it made it difficult to follow along with what the instructor was saying. The $5 cash classes were always packed, they definitely should have turned people away at a certain point. I almost rolled up my mat and left because it was so crowded. It makes it very hard to enjoy a practice when there isn't any room to move. The windows are a nice concept but only during certain times of the day. When the sun is beating in the room it becomes very distracting and uncomfortable. They should have curtains they can draw shut if the sun gets too bright. The staff, however, was very friendly, all very very nice people. I just wish they would have offered classes that had a bit more of a challenge and variety. read more

Best hot yoga studio by far. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming and the studio is extremely nice and well-kept. Their classes are awesome and they offer a variety of different times and instructors to accommodate people's schedules and class preferences. I love the music they play and how upbeat the classes and instructors are. You will definitely get a good/fun workout. They have a very clean locker room with 4 showers and items I always forget like hair ties, spray on deodorant, bobby pins, mouth wash, etc. Basically they have everything you could possibly need. The only downfall that comes with any yoga studio is that they're a bit pricey. They do however have $5 cash classes to help accommodate those who can't quite afford a monthly membership. I was looking for a nice place to practice yoga and thought I found that in Soul Sweat. I was wrong ! I bought a Groupon to try this place out for a month and time and time again there was a "problem" with my Groupon. I've visited this place four times and been promised that this would be rectified before my next visit. It's pretty frustrating and humiliating to hold up the line and be asked to provide another method of payment every time you come in when it should've been handled. On top of never fixing the Groupon and never calling to follow up with me, they had the nerve to tell me my Groupon was expired. Every employee was inhospitable and unhelpful. All they had to do is say you didn't want my business. I will continue my search for a yoga studio. read more

Never been crazy about yoga, especially hot yoga. The few yoga classes I've been to in the past were overly "zen." I HATE hearing people talk to me in a fake, whispering voice, telling me to make peace with ground below me. Soul Sweat is just what I needed! Came to Soul Sweat on a whim one day and LOVED It! They play great music, that is trendy, yet soothing. The classes are relaxing, challenging, stress relieving, intense & fun! My favorite instructor is Arielle! I love coming here after a long, stressful day at work. You will SWEAT YOUR BUTT OFF! Bring ice cold water! I literally walk out feeling so refreshed! I work so hard all class long.... Just so I can be rewarded with the cold lavendar towel at the end...my favorite part! They also have showers, which are clean and they have soap/shampoo/conditioner for you there! I highly highly highly recommend. I would consider myself a beginner and I have always felt welcome! They remind you that if you get too hot and need a break, it's always a sign of strength not weakness. read more

Not a yogi by any means. Not even the biggest fan of yoga because I'm more of a movin' & groovin' type of girl when it comes to working out. But came here on a whim & was so impressed! Everyone was incredibly nice and welcoming and made sure all the newbies felt comfortable and validated even if they did child's pose a lot of the time (aka me ). They played upbeat music but it still felt very zen throughout the class. And boy did I sweat! Can't wait to go back! (And who knows maybe I'll turn into a yogi...) read more

Came here with friends who are regulars. I am neither a yogi nor engage in regular exercise. I do have a little bit of experience with "hot yoga." This was a great session. The room was large and hot. Instructor was kind to newbies and described the poses well. She even came over to help me when I was obviously confused with one. The cold lavender towels at the end were great. They have good facilities for stashing stuff, and 2 showers. Everyone was very nice. read more

I wanted to love this place SO much, but unfortunately I left being sorely disappointed. I will admit that I went into my Sunday afternoon class with very high expectations after being a member of Summits Hot Yoga for several years when the location was on Camp Bowie. Soul Sweat is nothing like Summits! I wanted (and was hoping) for a heated class with dim lights that builds up to faster movements with bright lights & fast songs! The new location offers none of that! My list of cons goes on and on: 1) There are huge windows at the back of the class that let the blazing sun beam straight into your face as you attempt to lay on your mat and "relax." 2) There are no shades/curtain/anything available to block out the sun!! Who wants to do hot yoga and then have the 106 degree sun hitting your entire back side as you change positions!? 3) The doors in the heated classroom are at the front of the class. At Summits they were at the back. This was VERY poorly designed because if you happen to have your mat on that side of the room, you now don't have a mirror to look into!!! 4) So not only do you not have a mirror in front of you, but there also aren't mirrors going all the way around the room. How are you supposed "to focus only on yourself" and to "push out all the other potential distractions" if you can't even see!? 5) The classroom size has got to be about half the size of the one at Summits! I got there early, but I guess not early enough, so I had the sun, no mirror, and someone near me that had smoked prior to coming in so I got to inhale that for 75 min! 6) The music was slow and boring and I honestly was counting down the time for it to end. Thankfully I wore a watch, which you aren't supposed to do, so I could see how much longer I had to suffer. 7) They added music to the standing series which is a major distraction. The one and only positive thing I can say is that I did enjoy the cold washcloth at the end of class. I will say though that I'd trade out that cold cloth any day to get part of the old Summits back! (P.S. didn't even stay long enough to wipe off my mat, which is something I've never not done!) read more
