There were pros and cons. Let's start with the pros...The spa room was very nice. Private. Marissa was friendly and told me what to expect. She walked me through how to prepare for and get into the "bed" to start the treatment. The facial and the head treatment were amazing. Having never had a facial before this was definitely a treat! She used several products on my face and several products on my hair. My hair and face felt so good when I left! Now the cons... the massage "bed" was horrible! Best way I can describe it is you lay down on it and it's contoured and molded to the shape of a body. Which is ok, but when you're laying there for 90 minutes, you're stuck in this position, with no room to shift at all. And it massages you from underneath. But after a while, it just starts to hurt. So I asked her to turn it off. My lower back was very sore the rest of the day. But not Marissa's fault at all. She was great! Another con... as many products as she used on me, I really wish she would have talked to me about them. Maybe not during the treatment, because I understand some people want quiet in there for a peaceful, relaxing experience. But maybe afterwards show them to me and what they were for. They all smelled amazing and felt so good. Do they sell them? That was a real opportunity to try to make some sales. I probably would've bought some had she talked about them. So, overall I don't think I would do the head spa treatment again. Just because of that uncomfortable bed. And the only reason I did the 90 minute one is because it offered the facial. The other head spa treatments do not. I would go there again and have just a facial done, as Marissa was great and said it's done in a different room with a flat massage bed.

Now at this location, she has finally started her own business, and is happily serving clientele that has been following her around for years on end. Melody is a licensed Esthetician that really puts the customers first in all of the work she does. She has a variety of services that she offers... and if you need anything from a waxing, facial, pore cleansing, and other services... she is the lady for the job. Her prices are very competitive, and she always seems to be running a special to help the prices of things come down. I have trusted my skin to her many of times, and I'm very happy I have.

Okay so i waited a few days before getting on here. I actually got such a fast reply when i was…read morelooking to schedule a facial which is a plus. Because when you feel like "My skin needs this" and then you have a long wait or no openings makes you put off treating your skin right. (or maybe its just me). Okay back to the scheduling of this appointment with Aesthetic Theory Detroit (ATD). I click on the tab to request appointment on yelp and I love that right away i was taken to a quick few questions what my concerns were along with a few other questions. Because when deciding on a facial it can be a bit overwhelming if you don't know what would work. I was happy that it didn't take long before i got a reply back with suggestion what facial would work based on my concerns. I got schedule for a few days later and I was on my way to having a Dermal infusion. Day of my appointment everything was smooth from the minute I walked in, I answered a few questions and then I was taken to a room where my facial started right away. It didn't take long maybe 45min total if you count the time it took me to fill out the information on the ipad, now let me tell you BEAUTY IS PAIN and this might not be for everyone but the end results is so worth. And of course consistency with your skin care regimen is a must, I saw the difference in my skin with just 1 appointment. It also helps that they take before and after pictures so you can see the progress but honestly I saw it after 1 visit. I did schedule for another one in about a month because its a PRICEY but 1's a month you can make it work because your skin will thank you. I loved how i didnt feel pressure to buy anything or like I was being given a sales pitch during my facial. 2 days after the facial I did get a few little breakout but I was told that would happen because of the treatment from the Dermal inusion. But Heather did a fabulous job and i'm looking forward to getting my skin right and the next appointment I have. The best part about the Brow Bar is the respect for your natural shape/beauty- they won't be tweezing you down to a thin line (unless that's what you want of course) and they do their best to create a look that's stylish yet manageable for a few weeks. One of my favorite things about the service is that they apply product afterwards. This has helped me discover some of my favorite brow products, lipsticks, and skin care products. In general, Benefit has reasonable prices so you won't be breaking the bank by going here. Make sure to call in advance as spots tend to fill up quickly and you will likely want to keep with the same stylist throughout your visits.

I started coming here in November to have my lashes done. But I developed a reaction and had to…read morehave them removed. I took a break for a bit and just started back up. I can't tell you how freeing it is to not have to worry about mascara! You looked don't up even if you aren't wearing makeup! I have a busy summer planned out and I prefer to not wear much makeup in the summer months. I can go with none of I have a tan which is a great option and makes getting ready very quick! Thankfully, we are using a sensitive formula on me now and I haven't had any issues! Yay!! So lashes are expensive. I won't lie. I have paid less at other places, but the lashes were not done nearly half as well. There are three levels of lash techs that you can choose from and goes based on how full you want your lashes. A classic set can be done by a Jr tech. That's where there is a 1:1 ratio of lash to extension. This gives a very natural look and is the cheapest option. If you want a hybrid, you are getting a mix of the classic and the volume. This is what I choose. A Sr or master tech is necessary for this option. It gives a lot of volume without being totally over done. There is full volume and some other extreme lashes that require a Master tech. My eyes hurt just thinking about that! What about maintenance? We, I choose to get a full every week. Most people go every 2-3 weeks. But I'm extremely picky. The longer you go the longer it takes to fill and the more expensive. For the weekly fills, it generally takes about an hour and about $60 plus a tip. An original full set takes about 2.5 hours and is about $250. I recommend you do some research before making a decision to get lashes. This place is very clean. They wash their hands prior to touching you. And their equipment is sterilized. You do not want to get blepharitis! The salon is super cute too. They offer a variety of services here, not just extensions. They wax, they do brows. And they also offer a lift and tint for your lashes that is a very natural look. I am extremely happy with the results and works totally recommend this salon if you decide to try out the freedom of lash extensions!!
