Took my daughter to get her 1st tattoo to be done by the one and only Uncle Stephan. Of course he took great care of her and was gentle and kind in his approach. He listened to what she wanted and delivered a beautiful Tiara Flower behind her ear. Thank you so much for the extra loving care. They say tattoos are like potato chips, you can't just have one lol I have a feeling she'll be back! Btw..beautiful studio with plenty of seating space for guests or while waiting. Meeting Stephan was an awesome experience. I came in with a specific rose design in mind, and he went above and beyond--sketching a beautiful version that carried a personal story. This tattoo also helped me cover an old scar on my arm with something I could finally admire. Stephan was professional, focused, and friendly. His attention to detail is impressive, and he made sure I felt comfortable throughout the process. His work area was clean, well-organized, and properly sanitized, which gave me peace of mind. Not only is Stephan a talented tattoo artist, but he also draws and paints--his personal artwork is displayed throughout the shop, and you can feel the creativity in every corner. It's clear he's passionate about all forms of art. The shop, located off Hood Franklin Road, has a relaxed and creative vibe. Inside, there's a pool table, foosball, a mini t-shirt shop, and even karaoke! It felt more like a cool, welcoming space than a typical tattoo studio. I came in today to get a tattoo with Stefan who was recommended by a trusted family member. I love how the shop is so open and has the coolest entertainment waiting area. Stefan was not just a true artist but he makes you feel welcome and relaxed. I love his laid-back personality and humor. He is very easy to work with and helped me with designing the perfect tattoo. I have to admit my anxiety always gets the best of me when it comes to needles but Stefan gave me a ball to squeeze which helps me get through the actual process. The pain was pretty tolerable. He is very organized, quick, and efficient. I'm already planning to get more tattoos. Guess who I'll be going to? Of course, Stefan. No surprises here. Came here with my sister to get our first tattoos together. Parking in front of the building can be difficult, but I managed to find paved parking to the left of the building near the spa business. Score! Originally visited on Saturday, January 9, during their 5 year anniversary celebration. Told the person at the front counter what we wanted, but was told to set an appointment since they were busy. We put down a $50 deposit to lock in our appointment date. We were told to email our tattoo design idea. Appointment rolls around the following Monday. We got there 20 minutes early, which turned out to be perfect because Jaye and Bonez were still working on the designs. By the time we agreed on a final design and Bonez finished prepping his station, nearly an hour had passed. My tattoo took about 30-40 minutes to complete. Bonez did a great job telling me where he was starting and checking to see if I was okay. I was even handed a "stress ball" made out of saran wrap just in case I needed it. Ha! I liked the homey feel of Soulution and it was a pretty calm environment. I knocked one star off for the (what seems like) lack of documentation that showed my sister and I leaving a $50 deposit. I also realized that we probably did not get the 20% off deal that came with booking an appointment on their anniversary date. Boo! :( Overall, great experience! My tattoo ended up costing $80, which wasn't bad in my opinion. I would recommend this place if you're looking to get a tattoo done! read more

I went to Soulution Ink on a referral from my cousin and Jaye did not disappoint. He did my outline at the old shop and finished up the borders and shading at the new location. I enjoyed how Jaye gets to know you and incorporates that into your tattoo. Not only is he a great artist but a cool guy to vibe with. Honestly they might be really good at art and their work but they lack with customer service. Trying to get a hold of them to even get an appointment for consultation is like next to impossible. I have texted, called, and emailed them several times for at least 3-4 weeks now. It's very frustrating. If you are fully booked then please have the courtesy to make it known either on your website, your voicemail, or automated email reply. read more

This place has a great environment and friendly staff! I got a piece done by Stefan and I couldn't be happier. He is extremely talented and very detailed with his work. Jaye does great tribal work and I even recommended my aunt to him who ended up getting her tribal here . As for me? I did not have a very good experience with him whatsoever . I made an appointment with him to ge a cover up . He didn't bother sketching anything for me before hand and when I went in for my appointment , he ended up just free handing on me because we found out the day of my appointment , there was no way for him to fit what I wanted over what I needed covered up . In short , he got lazy and just covered up my previous tattoo with a black bar of ink with tribal underneath . It looks horrible ! I didn't even ask for tribal . Whenever people see what he did on me , they always question wtf it is . I don't even know what to say because I never even wanted this piece in the first place . Their customer service is horrible . My boyfriend who accompanied me at the time was extremely disappointed in the way they were treating me and felt that they were being disrespectful . I went to see a different artist today to see if I could get what Jaye tattooed on me covered up. When this artist saw Jayes work , he too was extremely disappointed and questioned why Jaye decided to be lazy with my cover up . I wasted time and money on something I never even wanted and am stuck with getting a previous cover up covered up . Go see him for tribal because that's obviously what he's good at . Anything else ? Learned about this place through someone on my Instagram and decided to look up the place and the artists artwork and I was impressed! After looking around at other places and deciding where I should get my first tattoo, I ended up always coming back to this place. Liked the artists artwork here and it's decently priced. Location is next to Kings Skate and a elementary school. It's a bit hard to find parking, but if you go through the entrance next to the elementary school, there are a couple of parking spots on that side. Totally loved the vibe in there! It was very cozy and the staff there was friendly and you can feel that they are like one big family. Prior to getting my tattoo, I was terrified! But after seeing how friendly everyone was, I was more at ease. My sister and I have been wanting a tattoo for a while and decided to get our first tattoos together and it went really well! We stopped by the shop on a Saturday to make a deposit and make an appointment for the following Monday. We had an appointment at 5pm, but we decided to show up early in case. Turns out it was good that we arrived early because they were creating our designs and that process took a while. I believe our tattoo session didn't start until around 5:45pm-6pm. Soulution Ink recently got a new tattoo artist, Bonez and my sister and I got inked by him! He's a very laid back, chill person and I loved hearing his stories. He made sure we liked our designs before stenciling it out. He also made sure the spelling and everything was correct and we were satisfied before he started going over it with ink. Was definitely a good first experience! The pain was also tolerable. Would come back here for future tattoos! read more

This tattoo shop is located by the King's Skate on Franklin Blvd in Elk Grove so it's pretty far in the boonies. I had an appointment at 12 PM today with Ralph and didn't actually talk to him until about 12:40. No one explained why I had to wait, all I was told was "it'd be a minute". The woman at the desk who I'm assuming was the shop manager asked if my friend and I were hungry because there was a little shop down the street. Clearly that's a sign that either they weren't expecting me even though I actually went into the shop 2 weeks earlier and made a deposit or Ralph was doing something who knows what. Needless to say I wasn't happy because I was already a ball of nerves going into the appointment, but these people are putting something permanent on me so acting like a diva was out of the question. My grandma passed away about 2 months ago so I knew for my next tattoo I'd be getting her name in Chinese down my spine. Ralph did a great job and I'm really happy with it. I was worried at first because he thought it might taken an hour and a half but he finished within the hour. I thought maybe he was rushing my tattoo but nope. It looks wonderful. He's a really cool guy, very professional, and easy to talk to. I have an idea for my next tattoo and I'll probably come back to Soulution Ink because I think their prices are reasonable. I have a tattoo on my arm with 3 Chinese characters that cost $120 at a different tattoo shop and the tattoo I got at Soulution has 4 Chinese characters that cost $100! Aside from the whole waiting thing I did enjoy my experience at the shop and will definitely return. read more

The artist I usually go to unfortunately moved far away so I had been researching new artists who I could trust. I found this place thru an old colleague who had some work done with them years ago. I had a small arm tattoo done by Jaye about a month ago. He was quick to respond to my consultation request, walked me through options and what the process would entail, and I was lucky enough that he had a cancellation and was able to fit me in the next day after my consultation. Upon my arrival, he had taken my jumbled wishlist we had chatted about and turned it into a beautiful design. Talking with him felt easy, it was like being around family, and he made the whole process pretty painless. The tattoo turned out beautifully, and I get tons of compliments about how clean his work is. Wish I had found him sooner, I'll never go to anyone else to get work done. read more

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Jaye, artist and owner of Soulution Ink. He welcomed us into his shop with a humble and grateful spirit and was attentive to our needs the whole time. He is very professional yet laid back and easy going at the same time. Truly a joy to be around. This was my husband 's first tattoo and Jaye made him feel very comfortable by walking him through what would happen, what it would feel like, and made sure my husband knew that he could take as many breaks as he needed. Aside from Jaye's delightful disposition and professionalism he is amazingly talented! He free handed the design right onto my husband's arms and it looked awesome. He has a very steady hand, his line work is incredible. The lines are so straight and even that it's hard to believe he created them freehandedly! He told us the Hawaiian name and meaning of each motif which brought a lot of depth and meaning to the piece. My husband has already scheduled two more apps with Jaye! Had a pleasant and positive morning with the artist Jay today. The vibe is very open, professional and family like. It took about 6 months to get in with him but was well worth the wait. I gave him the challenge of taking an old image that wasn't his original work and expanding it into beautifully and graceful detailed piece. I am beyond pleased with his calm friendly demeanor, nimble fingers and creative expertise. I am already making plans for the other shoulder. His line work is excellent. These guys are really cool. Very good vibes and inviting. They have a lot of business, my appointment was about a month out. So make an appointment early. The shop is chill with music and the guys engage in conversation. Your down payment for the appointment goes towards your tattoo and the tattoos are not expensive, very reasonable. All these guys are very good artist and have plenty of work to view. I'm going back for another tattoo and now my wife is going to get a tattoo from Soulutions. One thing I would change for marketing and ease of viewing art work, hire someone to improve the website and update it. Of course this has no bearing on their talent and ability to do great work. I had come across this studio via some poly tattoo artists I follow. I had some pieces lined up and decided to get an add-on to an existing piece and saw the beautiful work they do. I first reached out to the studio via an email and was responded to right away by Victoria. We talked about what I was looking to get and after we talked for a bit she referred me to Stefan. She told me he didn't have anything until May, which is to be expected when you come across a talented artist, but I told her that I was heading to Hawaii around then and if he had any openings for a smaller piece. A few days to a week went by and i received a call from Victoria saying that Stefan had a cancellation and if I was available the following week. Yes! On the day of my session I arrived and Stefan greeted me straight ohana style and I was immediately comfortable. He took the time to hear a bit of my back story and what I was interested in getting. This guy is super talented and has a good "chair-side manner". He sketch right on me and made sure I approved before inking. It was just yesterday that I went in to see Stefan and I really, really love what he did. As an islander (Hawaiian) It was an honor to be worked on by someone that is rich in the Polynesian culture and who is so talented. I will definitely be back to be worked on again. Great spot in Elk Grove for ink! My son researched and found the location, read the reviews, and contacted the artist. He's currently on the table but its off to a good start. They checked his id to make sure he was 18, went over on the waivers and responsibilities, etc.. They sell merchandise, t shirts and tanks, and just a relaxing local spot. I would definitely recommend. read more

I've referred atleast 8 people here and whom.all has gotten work down and loved it. All the artist there are cool people's and very polite and friendly. This review is like 7 yrs overdue lol The artist all do great work. I only go to Stefan and this is because he's the one who's done all my tats except 4 and those were only because I didnt knowing him yet. He gentle and patient w me and that's what I love. read more

Ralph did my tattoo on my forearm. Even though I wasn't positive on what I really wanted it to look like, he drew it up and it was awesome. It took about 4.5 hours to get it done, which was what was expected. Friendly guy. The shop is difficult for some to find especially if you're not from the area. It's clean, has music playing and everyone is really nice. I would recommend this shop. Go! read more

Got tatted twice by Mauricio and he's always done a phenomenal job! My friend Alice recommended him since he did a sleeve for her and ever since then I never regretted the decision to have him do my first and second tattoo. Young, talented man with lots of artistic skills. Even recommended my friends to go get tats from him and they came and got some too!!! My friends loved the tats they got from him. Definitely would come back to get two more pieces done by him since he did my first one and it's still my favorite ever after 2 years and even a lot of people/strangers comment how good it looked (way before i got it colored in, still looks amazing tho). We went here to get my sons first tattoo. We looked around at many places, local and out of state. Come to find out the best place was right here in my own "back yard". Not only was Jaye and his staff friendly and helpful they are extremely talented. Jaye spend a long time talking about what my son wanted, his vision. They talked about his struggles, who he is, beliefs goals etc... He used all this information to custom create a one of a kind tattoo that my son LOVES! I'm sharing my experience so others can make a fully informed decision before committing…read morefinancially. I purchased a Thermage package and financed it through Health Care Finance Direct (HFD.) During my first treatment, the provider began at lower energy levels and gradually increased the joules, explaining that higher settings are necessary to achieve therapeutic results. As the energy increased, the pain became extremely intense. I could not tolerate the recommended joule levels required for optimal results. Because of the discomfort, the settings had to be reduced to a lower level. I later learned that lowering the joules meant the treatment would likely not reach therapeutic effectiveness. I did not immediately complain. I understood that Thermage results take time, and I waited approximately 3.5 months -- the timeframe I was told results would begin to appear. After waiting the full period, I saw no visible improvement. At that point, I reached out to express my concerns. I was told that the treatment can feel "spicy" and that pushing through higher energy levels is often necessary for best results. I did not appreciate that I was told by a representative to just push through the pain. However, the pain at those levels was not something I could physically tolerate, but after the treatment was done they ran away with my money. To make matters worst, if you get any loan through LaserAway, the financial bank will side with LaserAway as they state they have not authority to overturn their decision. Even after I there were no results and the pain was intolerable. High way robbery. I ultimately decided not to proceed with additional treatments because I could not endure the energy levels required to achieve meaningful results. LaserAway cancelled the remaining unused services and issued a partial refund, but I was still held responsible for the cost of the initial treatment -- even though it could not be performed at therapeutic levels due to pain tolerance and resulted in no visible improvement after the full waiting period. My concern is not simply that "results may vary." My concern is that patients should clearly understand before purchasing that optimal results may require tolerating significant discomfort at higher energy levels, and that if you cannot tolerate those levels, you may still be financially responsible even if no results occur. If you don't have a high threshold for pain, I strongly recommend asking very direct questions about: * Expected pain intensity * Required joule levels for results * What happens if you cannot tolerate those levels * Financial obligations if results are not achieved Make sure you are fully comfortable with both the physical and financial commitment before proceeding. Jaye is my go-to artist. He took a very half done, color blood-lined back piece and turned it into a beautiful Black & Gray piece. I wanted it to represent my love for Hawaii and the happiness I feel being back home. I was very nervous to go to another artist after my first one decided he didn't want to finish the piece. I know the reputation that artists don't want to finish other peoples' work. But Jaye just want to help. Everyone I've met at the shop has made me feel welcome. The shop is family oriented. You may spot Jaye's kids doing homework or watching tv in the retail area. (Kids are allowed in the procedure area). But it's nice to walk into a shop and not be ignored. Also music is tasteful. You don't walk in hearing metal head-banging music. Everyone here is also professional. No drinking or drugs allowed. Everything used is pre-sterilized and disposable. Willing to show you everything if you're nervous about that. Also will go over all aftercare with you as well. I just had another tattoo (second) done by Stefan. Both of these tattoos have a very significant meaning to me. Not only is he a great artist, he is a great person. Knowing the stories behind my tattoos, he understood what I wanted and took special care to make sure I received the tattoo I wanted. He crafted everlasting artwork and for that I am very grateful. I first went in for a Daith piercing, how I meet the Soulution Ink family. The place gave me a feeling of relaxation and openness. LyRx was my piercer who immediately made me feel comfortable..she did an amazing job!! It didn't hurt!! And even better introduced me to Bonez who did a cover-up tattoo for me that I never thought would be gone!! Thought I would try this place since it's so highly reviewed, but I can't say that I recommend Soulution Ink. I went in for a consultation to see what they could do about covering up an old tattoo. They seemed inexperienced, or maybe just those who spoke with me. They didn't even offer to draw me up something on the spot. I am not from Elk Grove, just came here for a short vacation and I am not happy with the experience I had in this shop. read more

I came into this shop, very eager to get some "quality poly" tattoos, i had cash for a deposit and ready to spend top dollar I was informed that "Jaye" was the artist to do the job, he came up to me.. and I quote "oh no, a white boy like you has to wait atleast a year to get tattoo'd by me" I will never forget those words, I will never return.. two thumbs way down Don't waste your time coming here Go get some real poly elsewhere read more

How can people treat someone awful when they are trying to spend money in their establishment is a mystery to me. Their piercer Lyrx is phenomenal! I've had over 20 piercings by her and all of them have been flawless! She's super clean and is wonderful to work with on everything you need. She let me change the placement of my piercing as many times as I like before the actual piercing. As someone with social anxiety, I did not have much trouble at Sacred Nine. Shaina is very kind and soft spoken. The interior is witchy which was a plus. There's so many things to look at while waiting. Prices were reasonable and lots of little merch you can purchase too! Definitely recommend and might even come back for more piercings in the future.

John is a professional who is truly passionate about his work and it shows. After receiving my first two tattoos from John -- I left town and continued getting tattoos from other artists. Til this day -- the tattoos that John completed are the ones that are complemented the most! I get it! His work is amazing and it still looks great til this day. The reason for my post is that I am looking into a full back piece soon. The first guy that came to mind to complete this project is John. I looked him up and found that he opened his own (this) shop. I was stoked for him! Take my word folks -- let him tattoo you and you won't regret it. The texture she achieved through shading and highlighting makes the tattoo look like you could run your finger over it and feel the bumps on the owl's chest. It's truly amazing. She tattooed 3 of us with 3 different designs of the Athena owls and we are all super stoked to have them forever on our arms. Mandee's vibe was so chill mixed with strong confidence. The shop was so clean and together. Black Wolf Art gallery is now our only place we will be getting inked!

He has a price list posted that shows how much he charges for t-shirts, hats, shoes and other stuff. They accept walk ins but make sure to bring cash! Or walk to foodmax a couple stores down for their atm.
