Justin was our DJ for our wedding in June 2014. From the minute we met Justin he was very professional and we could tell that he was very talented! He was in constant contact with us through emaiil, phone, and even text messages. He answered any question we had and was extremely helpful. We had wireless microphones for the ceremony that worked perfectly the entire time. The timing of the different music and songs for the procession, bride, and recession was perfect! Justin from Sounds to Go was absolutely one of the most professional, fun DJs that I had the pleasure of working with for our wedding. I knew from the start it would be good as when I first met him he was very organized and had a packet for me to help guide me through all the choices and remind me what songs I need for the wedding. Although I got married almost 5 years ago, I still feel the need to share my experience now. When selecting a DJ for my wedding, my first instinct was to check Yelp. I found Sounds To Go and read the awesome reviews. I contacted 2 other DJ services, but Justin was the only one that offered me a discount for my out-of-season wedding date. This made me able to keep him longer that evening and I felt very happy with the price. I loved the fact that I was in direct contact with him the entire time. He really knows what he is doing. Having a wedding DJ is more than just for music - he was our "master of ceremony". Where do I start, Justin and my family had such a long relationship that I don't want to leave out one bit of information so that you know exactly what a wonderful DJ / MC you are getting when you hire this man. My son and daughter in law picked Justin after a lot of research for their wedding that was being held at The Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove. The prerequisite was the DJ had to LOVE working the Mansion which I guess can be a little challenging for some DJ's to play. So once they found out how much Justin loved playing the Mansion it was full speed ahead. One of the things they wanted was a rendition of their "Love Story" to give their guests an idea of how they met and the road they had traveled to get to where they were on their wedding day. Justin had never done anything like that before but was anxious to do his first one for our son and his soon to be wife. He called them and got their story and then the parents to find out that side of the story...On their Special Day, Justin did an outstanding job and all of the guests were thrilled to have had that insight. Secondly Justin in his own time helped me on the phone and though Face Book Chat to compile a dvd of the kids from birth through their dating and engagement and to attach music to this project. He worked also with the Best Man on this to make sure the final product was amazing ....and it was! We really wanted Justin to join us at the rehearsal at the Mansion and for the rehearsal dinner following ...we thought it would be nice to get his perspective for the wedding as he had been to the Mansion many times and was comfortable and knowledgeable of the proceedings. He along with Debbie one of the Coordinators for the Mansion were most helpful in working together to make this a very easy process, a lot of fun also! At the rehearsal dinner Justin was like family that we had known for many years and we loved having the connection with him as it made all involved very comfortable and I feel it helped make the whole wedding more personal! So the day of the wedding is here and I never worried one bit as Justin knew exactly what the kids wanted and had shared his music time line with our photographer Chris Shepard of Shepard Photography, in Roseville, who has also worked many events at The Grand Island Mansion and who we also recommend highly for your Special Day or occasion. Our Vendors worked hand in hand and so finely tuned due to them all working this venue before that non of us ever had a concern or problem. We hired Justin from Sounds To Go to be the DJ for our wedding, and what an amazing job he did! We went to another wedding where Justin was the DJ, and we thought he did a wonderful job, but what we didn't know is how much more work he does than just show up and play music. I first spoke to him on the phone and he was very pleasant to talk with. I had spoken to many DJs and a lot of them I just didn't connect with, but Justin communicated well and was easy to talk to. We decided to meet at a Starbucks and he was able to drive down and meet us half way between where we live and Roseville. When we got to Starbucks we were pleased to find that he was early because no one wants a late DJ showing up for their wedding, so for us it was a great start. Justin went over the services he provided and we where both impressed because his services were more extensive than we thought and he was very thorough. We felt very comfortable and confident with his presentation and decided to book Justin (Sounds To Go) for our garden wedding. The day of the wedding Justin arrived early to make sure he had his sound systems setup and ready for our special day. We had our ceremony on a hillside overlooking a canyon and had the reception on a large back lawn in a garden setting, so Justin had to setup two sound systems. The music he played during hors d'oeuvres was great and the reception went off without a hitch. We used a lapel mic for the officiant and the sound was great. Justin kept the evening moving along smoothly and did an amazing job with coordinating with cater etc. to make sure he made all the announcements and kept the event moving along at the right pace. Because of the large area he also setup additional speakers to make sure all our guest could hear the music and announcements. When it came to the dancing Justin played great selection of music and got the whole crowd involved so everyone had fun dancing throughout the night.
