Dr. Thakkar did ear cleaning and custom ear plugs for my girlfriend and I. This was the first time I've had my ears cleaned by someone else other than my mother and girlfriend. He went over the entire process with us and kept us very comfortable. When there were times that could be uncomfortable, he reassured us ahead of time. Got some sweet sweet custom musician's earplugs here, mostly for going to concerts and shows. The process was quick and Dr. Thakkar is chill and professional. He checked my ears before getting silicone impressions (feels weird but oddly satisfying). We decided on the filter level and I took a hot minute deciding on the details of the earplugs (pink and blue with GLITTER BECAUSE WHY NOT when you have the option). After they came back, it felt like the left one was a little tight, but Dr. Thakkar was able to size them to be more comfortable. I was experiencing a weird crackling noise in my right ear, and noticed over the last year that my hearing in my right ear wasn't as good as my left, having to crank up the volume on the phone or in the car, and switching the phone receiver to my left ear to hear better. Finally found Soundscape Audiology and was thrilled to be able to make a same day appointment online! The office was easy to find and there was ample parking. Dr. Thakkar was kind and handled my issue himself as opposed to passing it off to an assistant. I was in and out in 45 minutes with the issue fully resolved. I generally avoid going to the ENT or an ear doctor in general, because my past experiences have been met with extreme discomfort and loud vacuums entering my ear. I went in expecting as much, but it was by far the least painful, least stressful, and quickest visit I've ever had at an ear doctor. No vacuums, no painful scraping.
