Family owned and operated, Bryan and Chintya do a great job on their beers and also their tap room. Old school vintage wallpaper and decor make up their tap room with comfortable couches and tables for seating. On the back wall is a vintage piano as well. Very cool! I have visited their brewery and tap room twice now and both times have had a World Class experience. They are dog friendly and very inviting with a brewery tour if you have time. Good low key hang out spot during Covid season ... it was a good environment setting a bit dated as if I was in Italy so it was a bit cool different than other breweries... the server was great, very sweet and good experience ! Reason for the 3 star it didn't smell great when I walked in .... it smelled like dirty wet socks that were sitting there for a week ... I'd give them a 3.5 to be honest .... restroom was clean and great service 4 star for this place. If you are not a fan of sour beers, you might as well pass on Sour Cellars, which will work well because then the non-sour beer people won't be mucking up this lovely establishment! First I am a big lover of sour beers. My wife, well...not so much on the sour beers. Sour Cellars is in the typical little industrial park and very easy to find. The interior is beautiful with a very old world, luxurious feel to it. Very comfortable, cool, and welcoming. We walked in and there were only two other people in the place. We received a warm welcome from the young lady behind the bar who set us up with two flights. They had twelve beers on tap, with a few more in bottles. Most of the beers on tap are also available in a bottle to go. I'm not going to review each beer individually as I just don't have the attention span left after sampling all of them... Wait what was that? Squirrel! Uh, ok, anyway...My favorites were the Bellywengins, a Berliner sour with an optional Waldmeister Getrankesirup which is added to the glass before the pour. This results in a beer which closely resembles a green apple Jolly Rancher in color and the taste is pretty close as well. Now some will think that sounds nasty, me included at first, but this was actually one of my preferred beers. Another that stood out was the Darkle, a dark sour aged in second use whiskey barrels. There was a lot going on here and you could definitely smell and taste the whiskey...works for me! Sour Cellars is well worth the trip. Great atmosphere and really good sour beers! The staff was very nice and greeted us upon entry, explained their most popular beers and handed us a menu. The atmosphere is pretty neat, very "cellar-like". They have someone doing their really cool (although weird) art all over the walls and their t-shirts. Although, I would argue their chairs, while cool looking, are somewhat hard to sit in if you're tasting with other people. Very good sours, though more on the extreme sour side than I'd like. They had good depth. Good beer, good variety, just not my favorite in the way of sours. read more

First time here! On my way to the desert for the perseids meteor shower and had to stop by since i live out in orange county, and im really glad i did! Great selection of fruits, bases and dry hopped selections and all their beers are barrel aged for at least one year! My friend and i both liked the atmosphere a lot, reminded me of a speakeasy with dark colors and lounge areas. Bottles to go are $17 which is very fair for year long aged beers. I had the beers on the menu that are marked and loved them all!! Plenty of parking, not too crowded and easy to find. Got some bottles for the road and will be back anytime im in the remote area, great job all around Sour Cellars!! Update! Made the drive from Huntington Beach up with a buddy today to pick up some 'Pyrotechnic Pleasantries' (strawberry golden sour) bottles. They did not dissappoint!! Their barrel room is a mixture of old-world tradition and modern science, leaning strongly towards the old traditions. All beers are both fermented and aged in wood barrels, a process which creates a depth of flavor, smoothness of texture, and clarity that is nothing short of remarkable. Each blend is carefully crafted from a variety of barrels, of differing ages and characters, in order to present the best of various attributes present in each barrel. (When fermenting and/or aging in wood, each barrel will develop a different character over time even when filled with the exact same initial recipe.) Went by this brewery on a whim last sunday... during my own brewery tour. There wasnt much signage outside. It was in front of the industrial park so it wasn't too hard to find. When i went in, it was fairly quiet. The red curtains around gave it a slightly goth feel but not creepy. Lots of comfy looking chairs and sofas.. i sat at the bar and checked out the menu. I love that this place only has sour beers. I got talking to the owner and this place is run solely by him and his wife. And everything is brewed in small batches and fermented in barrels. It was crazy to me that he makes so many delicious beers without any of the fancy equipments n brewing things. Also they bottle everything on site. He also mentioned that all beers age over a year since they r all sour beers. I wanted to try them all but i tried 7 of their stronger beers. I loved the darkle which is sour aged in bourbon barrel. Man, this place is legit. I got the flight of "everything", and wasn't disappointed by any of it. Some were definitely better than others, but that's more of a preference thing. The interior was extremely unique, and they do a great job separating themselves from other breweries. I'm not huge on sours, but I do recommend everyone to come give this new spot a shot. DEEELICIOUS! As an absolute slave to any sour/tarte/gose beer out there, this place was like heaven to me. As other reviewers have stated, it really is a hidden gem. (It is quite literally, hidden in an industrial complex like many other breweries often are). I loved the dark, victorian ambiance inside. 10 points alone for the gorgeous doggo hanging out inside. The staff was really kind and helpful. There are board and card games present too. We ordered two flights and a couple of 6 oz. options. Everything was absolutely delicious and colorful! My favorite was the lemon one but I truly enjoyed everything. There are usually a ton of options on tap, and I like that there are options for different sizes (6 oz. / 12 oz.) I just turned 21 on February 17 of this year so I'm experimenting different beers to see what I like. So I came here because my friend recommended me to try out Sour Drinks and I was impressed with the flavor. The Employees here is so nice I can tell there's a lot of regulars that go here. I like that these drinks don't have a bitter taste like all the other drinks I had. The decoration in this place is like olden times and classy. I ordered flights I got Jammiest Bits of Jam,Damfino,Pyrotechnic Pleasantries, Spout, Breaking Camp, Pongelo and Harvested. My favorite drink was Pongelo next time I go I know what drink to get. They do have bottles to go it ranges from $16-$22 depending on the drink you want. All the drinks here at Sour Sellers are Barrel Fermented and aged 14+ months. Was craving some sour beer & this joint popped up. Best part it's 15 min from the house. All I have to say is if you like sour beer this is definitely worth the trip to the IE. I was greeted by the owners wife who was very engaged with everyone that was at the counter and recommended a few beers that are there top sellers. Jammiest bits of jam, Sooner Batch #2, Bellywengians, Darkle & the Pongelo. All I have to say is that all the beers were on point and I wish I had more time to sample more of there beers that I missed. Duuude. This place is excellent. The owners own it, run it, and work it. Oh, and most importantly, brew the beer. The oh-so exquisite mouth-puckeringest most bodacious and most delicious of sour beers...you want experimental? try their Darkle (I dare you to blind taste test this with Sang Noir & Consecration). You want funk? Wiping Feet (think Fortune Favors the Funk). You want exemplary? Damfino. They have it all- no less than 16 sour beers on tap. Got a bottle of Sour Cellars brew at my local bottle shop (yum), then realized they'd be on the way home after a day at Big Bear so figured I had to check em out. Walked into the tasting room and what...the...hell. Transported to another place with their decor, lighting, etc. The pictures online don't do it justice. I mean we've got Phantom Carriage by my place which is the closest comparison I can make if you're familiar, but Phantom Carriage is a themed tasting room, whereas Sour Cellars is a mood tasting room. I realized if I were ever stuck there alone for a few minutes, I'd be sure something would jump out of one their hanging tapestries and steal my soul. Antique furniture thoughtfully arranged all throughout with a small doorway into the brewing and barrel room, through which I took the liberty of bothering the brewer to bend his ear and tell him how much I dug his creations. In short...check it out; as others have said, you'll be glad you did. Will definitely make a point to stop by again soon, and long live West Coast Sour Beers!!! read more

Sour Cellars has EXCEPTIONAL beers in the sour realm. I am a sour lover no doubt, but I find unique flavors and high alcohol percentages that I would normally shy away from at many other breweries; however Sour Cellars seems to do some sort of magic that makes what I my tastes often find distasteful to be full of flavor and smooth!
