I pulled the car into the station and before I could even get to the front door a guy came running out and asked if I needed an air pressure check. He was on it! I think he was the same guy who did it last time but I did not get a name. I got a report on all 4 tires, pressure when I got there and how much was needed. I had a really good experience at the Midlothian Discount Tire where I bought these Continentals, another well run Discount Tire. Efficient, helpful, good price on tires, easy. I really think the Waynesboro store is top level service, good people, quality work. I will definitely use them when I get the next tires. You cannot go wrong with the Waynesboro store, or the Midlothian store. Thanks guys at Waynesboro Discount Tire on 1/5/26! Even the guys working in the shop were enjoying the Monday morning and their jobs. Laughing, working, talking. Getting stuff done! Awesome.

I was informed they don't schedule those appointments, it's first come first served. I told them I scheduled an appointment specifically for a state inspection online, and I can only assume the person at the front desk thought I was on the wrong side of slow in the head, as he repeated himself, a lot slower this time. I asked when the inspector would be back, and he said Monday, which didn't match the handwritten sign posted on the door. I asked what time Monday they started inspections, and he informed me at 8am, told me there were 20 people already showing up, told me good luck, and smiled as though he scratched and sniffed himself and he really liked his aroma today. I am happy I was not able to get my vehicle inspected. The website was misleading at best (maybe I missed small, corporate sized printing somewhere), the person at the front desk is as welcoming as a colonoscopy without anesthetics, given randomly while stuck in rush hour traffic in Atlanta after eating Chipotle, and I suspect even if the mechanics were solid folks, the animated merkin posing as a human would find something billable to fix before my vehicle passed inspection. Highly recommend a visit, simply for an opportunity to get a solid look at what the absolute lowest end of customer service looks like, and finding joy in imagining someone getting kissed with a brick :) You could not decrease the value of the visit if a homeless person used the parking lot as a port-o-let, and asked me for a dollar, all while maintaining eye contact.

I called on a Tuesday afternoon and asked them when they could do an oil change on my Jeep. The gentleman told me that they could do it Wednesday at 7:30 am or 1:00 pm. I told him I would take the early appointment. He asked if I wanted a tire rotation as well. I said sure a tire rotation and a synthetic oil change at 7:30 am. I told him I would drop it off Tuesday evening and leave overnight since it was an early appointment. On Wednesday afternoon around 1:00 pm to pick up our jeep, much to our dismay the tire rotation was done but they hadn't done the oil change yet. The gentleman told we it would be about 45 minutes, I told him I would come back I didn't feel like waiting in a tire shop. We went on home and after about an hour and half I called to see if the job was complete. After several minutes on hold I was told yes it's ready. I go down to pick up and notice it's cheaper than expected when I'm paying. They tell me the keys are in it and have a nice day. I went out and looked at the receipt and realized that they used standard oil. (Really?) I mean a professional shop should ask and at least make a note when specifically requesting synthetic oil. So not only was it not ready on time but they goofed it up as well! We ended up getting a refund and the only thing the counter person had to say was "there's that" as he handed me the receipt for my refund. Definitely not the shop for us. We will keep looking and I suggest you do too.

Our car was towed to Idiehl and they had our car one solid month. Not one time in four weeks did this place contact us, we had to contact them on every occasion to get updates. They "claimed" the specialist didn't have very much time to look at the car, again NEVER contacting us we had to reach out to them. After four weeks with NOTHING no answers, no car fixed NOTHING we had our car towed to a different location. United had looked at the car and found the issues within 72 hours. Thankfully United is actually here to help. I would never recommend Idiehl.

I called Eavers for assistance with my Ford Escape and was told to bring it in for a diagnosis. Their labor rate is $150 per hour, so timely and accurate communication about the status of the vehicle was especially important. The issue was determined to be the water pump, but the warranty claim was not submitted correctly, leaving me facing a $1,200 out-of-pocket expense. I explained that, as a mother of a medically complex child, coming up with that amount immediately would be difficult, but I could pay it within a week. I was assured that would not be a problem and that the vehicle would be ready by then. After having my car for approximately 2 1/2 weeks, I called to pay and was told the vehicle would be ready in 30 minutes. To give them extra time, I arrived two hours later. When I got there, they initially couldn't locate my file. Once they found it, no one could clearly explain the status of my vehicle. After asking to speak with someone else, I was informed that the repair had not even been started. The explanation given was that they had the wrong parts. Considering they had already had my vehicle for more than two weeks, this was extremely frustrating--especially after I had been told it would be ready that day. I asked whether the repair could at least be completed the following week, but was told they could not guarantee anything. I explained that this is my only vehicle and that I rely on it to get my daughter to her medical appointments at UVA. Rather than offering any solution, I felt as though I was being encouraged to take my business elsewhere as he dangled the keys in front of me. I have never had such a poor experience with a mechanic shop. Eavers used to have an excellent reputation, but my experience since the ownership change has been disappointing from start to finish. Charging $150 per hour creates an expectation of professionalism, communication, and efficiency that was simply not reflected in my experience. Based on my experience, I would not recommend them if they were the last shop on earth.

Went back at 3:30 pm, inspection still not done. Ridiculous! Car had been there since they opened and ya can't get it inspected in 7 hours? I've been dropping my car off for years for inspection and they were always done by noon. I think they were taking walk-ins and skipping my car since I dropped it off. So I got my keys, never to return.
