The boards were in good condition and they have boogie boards as well. My wife was able to stand on the board on her first wave. It was really fun. I needed more help and they were always there to coach us right along. I was initially bummed to find out that the camp I wanted to send my kids to during our week in Manhattan Beach was full. That's what happens when you wait to book last minute. However, GoSurfing ended up being a much better option for us. We did 2 hours of private lessons each day (Monday - Friday) during our stay, and it worked out perfectly. Kevin was super patient and kind and provided such incredible instruction that my kids (who were brand new to surfing) were both up within the first couple of days. GoSurfing provided boards for us and met us in a convenient spot on the beach. They also provide wetsuits if needed. (We happened to have our own).
