Worst escape room I've ever been to. First, there's a code to get into the building. This was supposed to have been emailed but it wasn't. We had to call and get the code to be let up. This could have been a cool intro to the esacpe room but it was a let down. The entry way was cool to look at and the waiting room was big with a few games to play. We booked the Classroom Experience, there was four of us. The host, while friendly seemed aloof and disinterested. She brought us into the room almost immediately, gave us basic insurrections, started the video and left us to fend for ourselves. From the first clue we were lost and had to ask for help. When she told us, it wasn't one of those, oh that makes sense! It was more like, what? I would have never gotten that and there's no rhyme or reason to the answer. There were a couple other puzzles that were like that. While we finished, it was frustrating that it was so unorganized and it so basic. If this was one of my first escape rooms I might not be so critical. But doing a few dozen at this point, I know that this sucks. read more

Really enjoyed the experience. I had an 8hour layover in Miami and accidentally found south beach escape room. Had a lot of fun, friendly and helpful staff member. Aside from the fun rooms, I really enjoyed the overall space. It wasn't just escape rooms, it was also a great spot to hang out. They had a ping pong table, puzzles and video games to pass the time. We booked this venue for a department team outing and it was incredible! The team at the South Beach escape room were extremely attentive and made sure that everything went smoothly. Randomly decided to do an escape room on a Sunday afternoon while walking down Lincoln road! We did the diamond heist escape room and it was SO FUN! We struggled a bit so used unlimited clues but had fun altogether. We were pleasantly surprised to learn they have a bar and even better a rooftop with a stunning view of Miami Beach!! I definitely recommend to stop by this escape room even if you're not up for the challenge you can at least enjoy a drink with a great view. read more

We did the panic room and had a blast. If you are use to escape rooms and want more of a challenge, I'd recommend the other rooms as we finished with 15 minutes to spare (usually we have five minutes left to spare for the other rooms we have done). The game itself was fun. That was the good part. My friend and I got tickets to enjoy an activity indoors on a rainy Sunday during our vacation. We completed the "diamond heist" escape paired with two other folks (a couple) that got tickets for the same game and time slot. Fortunately all 4 of us got along great and worked well together. However the poor lady working there was being game master to three rooms at once and also handling the bar and all other matters in the place. It was too much for her and we faced major delays in receiving hints. We would have finished in time if the hints had been on queue because we were only 2 steps from the finish when time ran out. It was extremely frustrating having an overtasked game master. Shame on management for not employing adequate staff. This was not our experience at other escape rooms where we had dedicated game masters providing timely clues throughout the hour. I hope this place gets its act together because it has the potential to be great. read more

This place is so much fun! On top of the escape room they have a ping point table, a bar with drinks and snacks, and to our surprise a wonderful rooftop patio to hang out at. The view of Lincoln road and Washington is perfect. A hidden gem. I recommend you call to reserve your escape room to make sure there is availability! read more

This place was cool. We were looking for something to do late night and this place was still open. I've done escape rooms a few times before. This one was pretty much on par with what was expected except they don't tell you the clues you missed at the end. I did enjoy one part of the room that came as a surprise. This place is so fun!! They have a really great outdoor rooftop patio that has corn hole and awesome opportunities for seating and views of all of south beach. They have delicious alcoholic beverages available and their staff is super friendly and helpful. They even have an organ and table tennis inside! You should definitely check it out!! read more

Came here with a group of 4 on a Sunday afternoon. We booked the diamond heist room. You have 1 hr to complete the task which in this case was to capture the diamond. There are clues in the room you have to piece together in order to access other clues in order to win the game. It was a lot of fun and the time seemed to go by really quick so it really didn't feel like we were playing the game for a hour. The escape room is great for small and large groups, I would for certain recommend this place. read more

From the rooftop bar, to the escape room themes, and the reasonably priced cocktail menu this place is awesome. Jonette (the hostess) was pretty awesome. I loved the prices and I felt like I got so much for my money. I'd most definitely recommend this escape room. Me and my friends didn't win but we felt like we did. Not the best experience ... first I want to point out this is pricey compared to other escape rooms I've gone. $170 for only 2 people for the Diamond heist room. The place was empty when I got there and the employee rushed us in the room and started the timer. There is a section where you have to drop a string with a hook at the end down into a clear glass box where you have to try and pick up a key with the hook. This is extremely difficult to do. I got stuck in this section and due to this I could not finish. I actually left the room 5 minutes before the end because it was pointless to continue to try at that point. The employee was on her phone when we left, she didn't even notice. I would try another escape room. read more

The facility itself was cool with games and a bar to chill and hangout in. However rating the escape room alone I would give it a 2/5 stars. We have done a lot of escape rooms in the area and this one consisted of mainly locks that needed lock combinations. The room was not decorated or altered much from what it originally was. Therefore the overall atmosphere was underwhelming. I would recommend the facility for a long day of hanging out and drinking but would not recommend it if you are only there for the escape room as there are others near by that are a much better experience. First off, Travis is very friendly and made our time there very fun. We went with a group of 8! Plenty of space in the rooms if you have kids or strollers. The room is defiantly a fun challenge! We chose Black Ops. Talk about a nail biter... we completed the room with 10 seconds to spare!! Great experience, family friendly and adult catered at the same time. We will be coming back on our next trip to Miami Beach. Thank you Travis for making our time there memorable. Well we went here right after Miamj opened up after Corona Virus and it still looked like they were getting reorganized but that didn't matter, we still had an awesome escape room experience! We did Dimond Heist as a family and our 11 and 15 year old sons loved the experience. This is a great out of the sun family activity in South Beach! Definitely recommend it read more

Black Ops mission accomplished! I came here with a large group for a friend's birthday and South Beach Room Escape exceeded all expectations! They were very flexible with working with making our reservation for two rooms for our group and were very accommodating every step of the way. From the moment we stepped out of our uber, it was as if the game had begun. The South Beach Room Escape is on the fourth floor of a commercial building in South Beach and has a callbox to access the building. We scrolled through the listings in the callbox directory but had no luck in finding our venue so we called and they gave us the code to the door and told us to head up to the fourth floor. We were greeted by the hostess who offered that we wait on the rooftop patio while the rest of our group arrived. There were beers and sodas available in a cooler inside (pay by donation) which were greatly appreciated- after all, we had to make sure that we would be using our full brain capacity for the escape room! The rooftop patio was really neat and even had a catwalk stage. After a few rounds of strutting down the catwalk, everyone was having a great time even before entering our room. I ended up in the Black Ops room which has a 20% success rate. I liked that the various rooms had different difficulties so that you can push your group as far or as easy as you want. I was designated as the team leader (woot woot) and was given a walkie talkie to ask for hints during our hour long mission. Our room coordinator was extremely helpful with giving clues and the room had a good mix of puzzles so that everyone in our group was able to contribute in some way. We succeeded in our mission of finding a vial in a war bunker in under an hour and afterwards the room coordinator gladly took pictures of us holding our prize! Overall, South Beach Room Escape was awesome at being an escape room but also goes above and beyond in making sure that their customers are having a good time before and after their game. I would definitely come back here to try the other rooms and to enjoy a drink on the rooftop patio again! read more

So fun! My boyfriend and I had never done an escape room before and chose the Diamond Heist theme. Leo was helpful and explained everything clearly. We were given a walkie-talkie and were able to ask questions if we ever got stuck (which we had a few times...lol). There were certain parts that definitely needed clues and might need to be reevaluated by the team to make it more accessible so it can be done alone without getting assistance from staff. I'm not saying make it easier, I mean make it make sense. We ended up figuring it out towards the end by rigging it without even knowing we did. Technically we skipped a step but still got the diamond. The room needs some updating with some of the locks being worn out. Overall, I recommend it, especially if you've never done an escape room before. read more

Group of 9 friends came late on a Saturday attempting to do something fun and new. Half our party have done escapes before, so we were pro's, but the rest a bunch of rooks. The way this works is you get locked in a room, and you scour every nook and cranny for clues to unlock locks and solve puzzles, until you bust your way straight outta Compton. (You gently unlock the final door). We did the panic room. We owned that ish. Well at first we did, but we got stuck at the end and barely got out in time. This particular escape place is not scary, but still keeps you on your toes and your heart racing towards the end. Overall, it was a lot of fun and we had a great time. Whether you're from the area or just visiting, I absolutely recommend SBRE! On our trip to Miami, our group of four decided we'd do an escape room. It was all of our first times, and SBRE's great prices and fun room options couldn't be beat with others in the area. The building is very hidden (makes the experience that much cooler), so make sure to read the instructions for arrival that come in your confirmation email. After going up the elevator to the floor that SBRE is located, you're immediately transported into a totally awesome, modern space with locks as decoration, drinks, a rooftop lounge area, and tables in the general area to chill before or after your escape room. We chose the Panic Room, and without giving too much away - it was SO COOL. Although you are not locked in the room, you are completely submerged in what you are doing and figuring out the clues. You are given a two way radio to communicate with the staff if you need a hint, too. Clues can be ANYWHERE. We were one lock short of completing the puzzle, but the woman that worked with us showed us how we came up short so we weren't left wondering. My ONLY con of the entire experience is the wait time for our staff member to answer our question while we were in the room. The first few minutes were spent bickering, but the four of us eventually became a solid team and had the best time! Thanks, SBRE! Hope to visit again! read more

This place and concept is absolutely amazing. Had the best time. We did the panic room and though we didn't complete it, (came extremely close), the experience was fun and exciting. Basically you get locked inside a room and have to find tools and keys and clues to help get you out within 60 minutes. It's interesting and brain teasing and all in all a fun way to work together w your friends. For only 20-30$, and they offer free cocktails, you can not beat this experience. We will be booking again for a future visit and can't wait to try the other rooms available. I recommend this place for everyone to try at least once!! read more

I went here for my 18th birthday, it's a little pricey, but completely worth it. Not only was the escape room fun, it also had a great view of the city. We had 7 people in one room but it was still extremely hard, we finished only 3 minutes to spare. We did the diamond heist, which involves attempting to steal the world largest diamonds.
