Too cool, only in South Beach! Everybody & now we know about this as the jewel of parking garages in South Beach. With protruding angular columns, this open-air garage towers over Lincoln Road Mall's western end and provides panoramic views of the 33139. It was designed by Switzerland-based Herzog & de Meuron for developer Robert Wennett, the garage opened in 2010 with 300 spaces. The seven-level garage has an event deck that has been used for photo shoots, receptions and movie opening events. Level 5 has a glass-encased fashion boutique called Alchemist. Why am I reviewing a parking garage? To warn you all how useless it is. I was visiting the office building that literally shares the address with this garage - you can stare into the windows of a dental practice and just see cavities getting filled. With a grace period of 10 minutes, I thought I'd be safe as I was picking up and getting out. No. You have to maneuver around tight ramps that are both up and down, avoid all the reserved spots on floors 2-4, wind desperately around the ramps until the find the last spot on floor 6, then take the elevators all the way to the ground floor, and find your way into the elevator banks for the actually office building (as of 4/21/2017, the lobby is under construction and awkward to find), and do it all backwards again. I was out in 21 minutes and I paid the full $20. Complete and utter rip-off. There is a lone clothing store on the 5th floor with no patrons, and the higher up the park, the more intense the wind blows you around in the open air structure. The only things that would be worth mentioning is the and view. It's the same view you can get from any rooftop bar on the beach, but you can instead surround yourself with cars. Park on the street in front of the restaurants (like the taqueria) if you're truly in and out. read more

All in all this garage is a complete rip off. That being said, it's a perfect location to park at if you want to spend some time on Lincoln Road. The issue(s): 1. The spaces are tight. 2. Getting in and out are a mother effer 3. The price The last time I was by there it was $5 for the first hour which is highlighted on their sign, but what is in the tiniest of font is that it's like another $6 every 30 minutes. GTFO Miami Beach. I can park on 17th Street (and I do) for $1 an hour. The ONLY reason I gave this spot two stars is the views from the 7th floor. I typically take guests up there for about a 270 degree view of Miami. It's a pretty cool spot. Even a bit romantic. You might even get a kiss or two (not spilling my secrets or anything). But you don't need to park here to go up to the top. Just take the terrifying elevator up to the top and enjoy, but save your money and sanity and park somewhere else. read more

While this thing is a work of art - it isn't the most useful parking garage. It's actually quite terrifying. Pulling in off Alton you will twist up to the ticket booth - $5 per hour. But they have a 10 minute grace period - cool. As the gate lifts my car gets showered by a blast of water. WHAT? What the heck just happened? I begin the daunting drive up this work of art which really shouldn't be a parking garage (did I mention that already?) up the steep ramp to the second floor, looking to see the only thing stopping me from flying over the edge are some tension wires. Great, some thin metal wires are all that will stop me from plummeting to my death if my accelerator gets stuck. Reassuring. I get to the second floor and see the dumb @ss that is washing cars and splashing all that dirty water on the cars entering below. Dude, seriously? How haven't people complained before? So I find a spot (no where near the open air facing Alton) and pull in, and the turtarrier (yea, that's what it's called! Google it) is metal and as thin as a South Beach model. Seriously? THAT will stop my car when I have gone to far? Come on man. So while this garage might be pretty to look at, when it comes to being an actual, functioning garage I must say..."Meh, I've expereienced better." read more

One of the things I do when friends are in town is take them up to the 7th floor to show them the awesome view of Miami Beach. I've always loved this garage for this, and love leaving people who visit with a good impression. However, this has changed. I was up there with my girlfriend today, sunset approaching, taking photos when a security guard asked us to leave, due to "safety reasons". We weren't doing anything unsafe, we were just enjoying the nice day and air. I wasn't even angry, just sad. Sad that we're no longer welcome at a beautiful view we've enjoyed for years. I hope management reconsiders this new policy of not allowing people to enjoy the view. :( read more

I'm usually against any tall structures on the Road but this time the smart architectural layout and landscaping make for a welcome change. The bottom floor is a combination of shops and restaurants mostly high end and luxury from all over, a bookstore from Germany, sportswear from Brazil, NY's best burger joint. etc. And then there's the 7th floor aka the event space with great views. My husband and I came today to enjoy some time here in Lincoln Road so we decided to park in this establishment. We were outside of our vehicle and we decided to take ONE photo with our cellphone when a man and woman approach us and came VERY close to our faces and did not even say "hello" or anything and asked us what we were doing there? And we were very confused as that is NOT a way for anyone to approach you and simply told us that there were no photos ALLOWED! And simply requesting we leave! This needs to be addressed this is not a way to speak to anyone and if something is not allowed please ask nicely! What a way to ruin anyone's day hope their security management not even sure if those people were security as they never even addressed themselves or were wearing a security uniform! This is a famous parking garage by Swiss architects Herzog and de Meuron. Super modern and pretty parking garage. Very convenient location if you are shopping on Lincoln Road. Its $5 per hour- you get a ticket, BRING IT WITH YOU, and pay at the machine before you go back up to your car. You can pay with cash or card. Some people might complain that it is hard to drive in but I have no problem. I also like that this place is safe. I never feel sketchy to park here...mainly because there are other nice cars like mine around and even better. I always see Mercedes, BMW, to aston martins and ferraris. Overall, safe, convenient, pretty parking garage. I like it and recommend to anyone going to spend the day at lincoln road. read more

Only visible on the wall all the way inside and not visible if, like in our case, there is a car beside you pulling a ticket too. We had to go back up to the gate before paying because we couldn't believe we had missed the sign. It isn't an accident. The only sign outside the garage leads you to believe it's a public lot. I had the most awful experience at this parking lot. I came to the movie theater across the parking lot, so pretty convenient location. However, after the movie I went and try to pay and because the machine was not reading my ticket ( which is not my fault ) the guy attendant he told me that at that time he was the only person in charge and I need to give him $20.00 dollars cash to get my car out (Which I told him that I don't carry cash )and there is NO sign at all that says cash only in this place otherwise I would have never parked there. Additionally and ironically in the ticket says not cash accepted at the door only pay with credit card, which is what I was trying to do. Finally, my friend and I went across the street got money out of the ATM, which I had to pay additional fees because that was not my bank. So I paid the guy and I demanded for a receipt and he says he could not give me one ... So I took the pic of my ticket as proof that I paid $ 20.00 dollars cash and there is no record pecans he used his magneto master card to open the garage without putting the money in the machine. I felt rob in my face!!!!!Such an inconvenient I just wanted to pay an go home ... Please whomever owns this place, if the structure is so contemporary please make everything on it contemporary so you can give the best experience every time ... So if the machine does not work lets put a system in place we are in a new century we can use other channels to pay like PayPal, Apple pay ... This place will give you vertigo. Drink a few cocktails on Lincoln Road, then tell me you don't feel like you're about to fall over walking through this parking garage. None of the walls or support beams meet up at 90 degree angles, and it makes the place look like its being pulled apart from the inside out. Would give no stars if I could. Charged $40 for 2 hours of parking. First issue: the price of parking is posted NO WHERE in the garage. It was only seen on the way down from the 4th floor on a sign in the corner of the garage (the price changed twice in the same night). So we were charged $20 to park--the flat rate. Second: the confusing nature of the ticket. It states not to pay by the exits BUT ALSO to pay by cash at the machine on the first floor. Understanding this, we paid as soon as we parked at the machine and left to see a movie. On the way out, we were greeted at the exit by another machine requesting $20 to open the gate. After calling the available help line and getting hung up on, we were told that after paying the first time we had only 10 minutes to leave; nowhere, not even on the website, does it say this. Let me start this review by saying yes Lincoln Road is a tourist spot. Most of the stores there are selling very standard items for a slightly to way higher price with exceptions from chains like CVS Walgreens and the Apple Store. I also would not recommend eating here except for maybe and that is a big maybe one or two places none of which come to mind right now. So why did I write Lincoln Road with 4 stars? Galleries, art galleries to be specific. You must and I do mean must check out Peter Lik gallery! He is a landscape photographer that takes absolutely breathtaking photos of everything from waterfalls to canyons to desert and city buildings he even did a retired planes series from the Air Force. 100% worth checking out. And not too far from there is Romero Britto gallery which is a great experience for a number of reasons. First you will have fun looking at the price tags of what I considered to be a very simple even childish style of art that is easily replicated by anyone with the most basic artistic ability. Nevertheless he is the most famous artist still living a statement that is backed by his contract with Disney, Pepsi, Bentley, Absolut Vodka, and much more. He also has done the Super Bowl time show, was commissioned for FIFA, and then failed some of his pieces across from DaVinci in the Louvre Museum! And with a gallery right on South Beach on Lincoln Road why would you not at least stop by. Lastly there is a Gallery which I believe has rented spaces or is a school I'm actually not sure though I have been there probably 8 or 9 times. Inside you will find a collection of different artist's work on almost every artistic medium you can think and at certain times you can catch the artist themselves currently working on a piece a truly great experience for art lovers. So to summarize after a visit to all three galleries if you can find one of the two or three places to eat and then stop by the new macaroon shop for dessert you can have an overall great day / experience on Lincoln Road. read more
