This individual was very rude when contacted to ask a question about unlocking motorcycle side cases. Randy came to our home (March 3, 2020) and did a fantastic job rekeying all the locks. Now all doors match, one key for all doors, threw away the old keys. There is a reason he is getting so many 5 star ratings from everyone, he has done this for over 40 years, cares about his career, and knows EXACTLY what he is doing. I like to hire local people, Iike to hire experts that know what they're doing. He has a 408 area code, a real person who lives in our community, and isn't some fly by night weirdo company with those out of state area codes that send out hacks. He doesn't mind if you tag along to watch what he does, loves to talk, show off his van and skills, I learned a lot. Very friendly, great with animals, licensed, bonded, attends locksmith conferences to learn more about his trade. More than fair prices (others were trying to charge many hundreds to rekey over 1/2 dozen locks in our home, the people on the phone seemed shady -- not Randy, he is genuine, local, the real deal). Randy loves his work, it's amazing what he knows and can do. I recommend him very highly to anyone who wants an expert to come out and make their home secure. He also does safes and gun safes and things like that, also the numeric keyless entry systems. Going with anyone else you're taking a chance and don't know what you're getting. I lost the key to my mailbox that is right in front of my house. I was told that I needed to replace the mailbox and there was nothing else that could be done. I had a small safe that needed to be opened as I had lost the combination. I called South County Lock and Safe because he was the only one who specifically advertised for safes. Randy answered the phone, no message machine, that is my first star. I explained what I needed, he provided some preliminary information for me and said he could be right over. Excellent service and so fast!! Our front door handle was broken and we had to use a side door to get in the house. I called and Randy came over within 60 minutes and had the needed replacement parts on hand- brand new.
