At first my glasses came in with a distortion, the lab somehow didn't really get the axis right on my complex prescription. Even though it took some time and effort, Bernard did an excellent job in explaining this issue to the lab and got the problem resolved. Came in for an eye check up exam and a glasses adjustment. Staff was friendly and helpful. The exam was $100 (I do not have insurance). I had an appointment at 9:00am. I had my exam quickly and met with digital optometrist afterward to go over my exam results. I'd recommend this place. read more

This amazing young lady named Ms. Raquel is always ready to greet and meet new patients. With her infectious smile and her wonderful personality you will enjoy booking your appointments with her. She quickly verifies your Insurance to confirm that you are in Network. She contacts you right away and she follows it up with a phone call to make sure you are aware of your appointment schedule and what it will entail upon arrival. When you walk in the office it is clean, equipment is sanitized and it's a welcoming atmosphere. They have a beautiful display of eyewear collection ready to show you and you can try them on. The latest fashion. You are also greeted by the Manager who holds down the place Mr. Bernard. He treats you like a family member. As soon as you tell Mr. Bernard the reason for your visit he makes sure you are seen by the Optometrist on board. He takes you to the exam room and explains the procedure of what exams will take place according to your visit. He manages this vision store to the highest standards. During the eye exam hubby was able to ask all his questions. And the Certified Optometrist on board gave him excellent advice. The staff Mr. Evan & Ms. Katelyn were excellent as well. I want to commend them on their customer centricity. Mr. Evans made my hubby feel comfortable and valued when discussing the frame selection. He was genuinely interested in my hubbys eye health. I wish I would have read these reviews before making an appointment. The doctor was great and that's where that ends. I have been waiting over 5 weeks to get my glasses and still no update. I call repeatedly for an update and am given the run around. Once I sat on hold for over 30 minutes. The manager is awful and doesn't deserve to have that title. This is the Deerfield branch. They don't even have live doctors on-site. it's all done remotely and takes forever! It was a very frustrating experience as if took me nearly 2 hours to get the eye exam because they couldn't find a doctor available... one was in Publix shopping for lunch, when they tried to get ahold of her. Eventually they found one and he tests your eyes remotely. I ordered and paid for a pair of glasses and still haven't received them and it's been 2 weeks. To top it all off, my credit card that I used for the payment was hacked into about an hour after using it. Fortunately Chase caught it. read more

Do not use this company. They mixed up all of my results and medications. On my chart they have written I have cataracts and had surgery a few years ago, also that I had laser eye vision surgery a few years ago also. They have also stated I take methotrexate and another drug for high blood pressure. None of this is true. I have been asking for over three weeks for them to correct my chart and they still have not done it. I am so furious. They promise to change it and say they'll call back and no one does. Every time I call if I even get somebody that actually try to deter you from making an appointment by saying all they have open is.... ( usually over a month and a half from the call) then I call to confirm my sons appointment, no answer, left two voicemails no reply. The absolute unprofessionalism of this place ceases to amaze me and it is a shame that the Drs don't do something about the completely rude and incompetent staff that is running this place into the ground. The optometrist that saw me, Dr. Heather Schaffer needs to lose her "Have a seat in my electric chair" shtick. I heard it the first time I walked into the exam room, I didn't need to hear it again in the exam room after sitting in the tiny waiting room waiting on the drops to dilate my pupils. They then tried sending me out the door without sitting down and getting measured and taking a order for the reading glasses that my insurance was paying for. I also had to ask for the throwaway sunglasses that Dr. Schaffer said I needed to wear to protect my eyes after being dilated. They are just another company out for the almighty dollar with no concern for their patients welfare. The place could also use a good top to bottom cleaning at the least or a complete remodel would be actually better. I certainly won't be going back there. read more

Terrible. Even though my insurance paid for this place, I would never return, and will gladly pay out of pocket to get everything done correctly, professionally, and honestly. No one answers the phone - and I mean for hours. When I finally got an appointment, it was obvious that this place was a scam. The price for glasses WITH insurance was the SAME EXACT PRICE for getting the glasses elsewhere WITHOUT insurance. Sounds like medicare fraud to me - double billing. Were they billing medicare and then charging me for the same amount? To make things worse, the prescription was horribly wrong: my left vision was so blurry for distance that I asked them to redo the exam. At first they said they would do it for free. Later that day, they called back and said there would, in fact, be a charge of a hundred dollars! And then the morning of the exam, they called me back once again (!) to say they had made a mistake and there wouldn't be a charge after all. I told them I had no interest in dealing with them again as they were so poorly run and had destroyed my confidence in their skill, honesty, and organization. How many mistakes do you allow a place to make? Everything about this place from my first attempt to make an appointment and onward has been terrible. I had a contact lens exam two weeks ago and they were supposed to order me trials, well after not hearing anything from anyone I called and left two voicemails, still nothing. Finally on my third call in three days a girl answered and told me the contact trials were back ordered, and she would call me back with a solution... Best experience in eye care. My son and I went yesterday it was his first time getting his eyes checked. The doctor is amazing and they also have equipment that you can just look into and it measures your vision, it's incredible. read more

Ask the Dr. about contacts. I was told I could wear them. Only to find out Later that I needed another exam. This was not told to me when I asked about contatcts. I was told it was on some form i never saw about contacts. When I called back to explain this they were rude and not very understanding. The "Supervisor" said this is explained and is on some paperwork. I told her clearly It was not. I said when a patient asked about contacts and NoBODY tells the patient what needs to happen to get them, are we expected to Just know? Oh and she had the Audacity to say " we can schedule another appointment at $109 for the contact exam. There was really no apology and no offer to make it right. The worse service, my daughter glasses broke that we got from this place in October I was told that our insurance would give one extra frame a year, when I called I was told u had to pay for it. I came in to give them the old glasses so that I can pick the new ones at lunch, because they work same hours as I do. They said the frame will be here tomorrow but we will not keep your old one's in case they get misplaced, I asked my daughter leaving on Saturday for the weeks and u work same hours, they told me we open till six on Thursday but u have to be here at 5 because we leave early. I said I also work till five and if u leave early it's another reason for me to leave the broken glasses, the eyeglass fitter would not do it, and she was very rude, so they charged my insurance and I paid almost $200 and they would not fix the glasses. I am a single mom on Medicaid that money was for electric that was turned off, but I had to take care of my daughter, and this place it's bad enough they not suppose to charge more then what Medicaid pay but also left my one eye blind daughter without glasses! I made an insurance fraud complaint to Medicaid and would not recommend this place to anyone read more

Located in an unassuming strip center with an exotic animal store and Wendy's as neighbors, the eye exam was thorough and the glasses selection process was fine. I didn't feel rushed and all my questions were answered. Prices are comparable to other places that are not discount promoters like Stanton, which was a disaster for me. read more
