We ordered food and a drink before we played. The bar was very nice, good lighting and personable bartenders. We ordered a couple beers, a Reuben sandwich and an order of sweet potato fries. All items were terrific. The sandwich had real corned beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, sauce and pumpernickel seeded bread. Yum! The fries had a butter, cinnamon syrup that was delicious too. The beer was $5 for happy hour, which is not a bad price for hay burner. We were able to pay $10 to rent a club and we got a bucket of medium balls. There were plenty of spots available on both floors and the area was clean and set up nicely. I hit a few balls, so I feel that it was a successful night! We had so much fun and will definitely be back.

The guy working the club house said it was in the best condition of all the area courses, and he was not kidding. He also said "in general, don't miss right" which was also partially true... but really, he could have just said "don't miss" and it would have been just as palpable. The course is not very long for the most part, but is well protected by hazards. These manifest as natural reeded marsh, ponds and creeks, large pot bunkers, and just general woods. Accuracy is at a premium over distance, I think I only hit driver off the tee three times, opting instead for 3 wood or 3i hybrid in the majority of cases. The greens were immaculate, true rolls and good speed. In general, the course was very well maintained, the staff kind, bathroom breaks convenient and clean, and the drink cart girl showing up right when you needed her services! The starter let us go as a twosome without having to wait and be paired up, yay! We also hit a small bag of balls on the practice range before the round, and found it to be in good shape as well. We would absolutely play this gem of a golf course again.

We payed for 18 holes , but pace of play was so slow we only played 9 before dark , asked for rain check for other 9 , instead of giving us rain check they gave us 10 dollars back . Drove an hour to play here but couldn't finish because of 2 slow 4 somes in front of us. Will definitely not be going back . Layout was great , views are amazing , greens were destroyed , no Marshall to keep things moving . Whoever came up with the rain check system deserves money to be taken from his pocket.

So after work when you want to hit balls you're hitting them into the setting sun. What's the point of a practice range if you can't see what your ball is doing after you hit it???Absolutely terrible architect mishap. Look forward to playing the course, but never go to the range after 5 o'clock.
