Dr. Neimann was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and informative. He took the time to clearly explain the removal procedure, what to expect, and the healing process, while being completely transparent throughout. The entire staff was professional, understanding, and knowledgeable. The removal itself was quick and painless since they properly numbed the area, and my recovery was surprisingly fast. Aftercare was also very thoughtful--they sent me home with a bag of gauze (which I didn't end up needing), an ice pack (a fantastic idea since I didn't have to go get one), and chapstick. They also provided Dr. Niemann's personal mobile number in case any issues or questions arose after hours, which gave me a lot of peace of mind during recovery. The assistants were wonderful and helped keep me calm, and the positive atmosphere (including Sabrina Carpenter playing when I sat down!) made a huge difference. From setting…read moreup the initial consultation to getting the actual procedure done (on the same day), it was seamless. I was in/out of there in a little over two hours. Upon walking in to the office, I was welcomed by a nice staff person who instructed me to fill out some paperwork. I was then taken to a room for the consultation. Dr. Yu advised to have a root canal based on his evaluation. I was then moved to another room for the actual procedure after having anesthesia injections into my mouth. After some prep work done by his very comforting staff, it was time for the games to begin! I appreciated how his staff guided me through the prep work and explained what they were doing. It honestly feels really weird to have your mouth wide open while having strange objects being placed inside. During the procedure, I could see they were passing instruments back/forth. There were weird sounds, noises and smells. I never felt uncomfortable as they always checked in to see if I was doing OK. At this point, my entire family has gone to Dr. Chang for treatment and they all had great experiences. Last time Dr. Chang was able to save my tooth. One, after swabbing the numbing agent in my mouth Dr. Elmassian immediately injected me with the large needle of the anesthetic. IT HURT LIKE HELL! Typically dentists wait at least 1 minute before they use a needle on their patients after the inside of the mouth is swabbed. It was awful but he didn't seem to care that I was almost screaming and moaning in agony. Then while he did my procedure he talked very unprofessionally to his young female assistant who clearly was uncomfortable and laughing nervously throughout Dr. Elmassian's gossip about other people.
