Here is my story: My son attends TTU and this year for his birthday I wanted to get him a good bike to commute to school and work. I live in Aurora, Colorado so I thought it might be tricky to get it done, especially with short notice (his Birthday was yesterday, December 5th). I looked at some of the bike shops in the Lubbock area, but was drawn by the great reviews that Sam and his team have received...and I was right to pick University Wheels. Sam "bent-over-backwards" to help me find a couple of great bikes for my son to choose from, and then went out of his way to make it a "birthday surprise" by meeting my son on campus to look at the bikes. My son picked one he liked, Sam even followed him home, and I was able to complete the transaction with one simple phone call. I have been in the Sales/Customer Service field for more years than I care to admit, Sam's attentiveness, quick responses, and willingness to make sure everything was perfect is a testament to his character and why you should do business with University Wheels. I was picking up some shirts my employer had ordered and I was warned that it had been a nightmare to get them ordered and to prepare for the worst. I was pleasantly surprised when it was a quick and easy pick up! Once we pulled the shirts from be bag we quickly just tore tags off and hung them up. When it was time to use the shirt we noticed that a white one had brown stains all over it (looked like dirt). I tried washing it with stain remover to no avail. I called the store and they said to bring it in. When I did they proceeded to politely argue with me about whether the stains were present when we picked the shirts up. To their credit, they do check each shirt for size and color before they put them all in the bag so I understand that it seems unlikely that a white shirt would leave the store with unnoticed stains. But it happened. The conversations were awkward because I was trying to explain that I knew for a fact the shirts had not been worn and that I was not the buyer anyways. I noticed tones of annoyance in their voices which made me uncomfortable. Eventually they brought the shirt back to me with a "pretreatment" that smelled so much of sharpie that I had to drive back with the windows down. I washed the shirt with the treatment and it did take some of the stain out but not all of it. I called again a day or two later and they said they would reorder if i brought the shirt back in. I appreciated that they did not argue with me BUT... As soon as I walked into the store the girl at front (same as the previous time if I remember) did not seem willing to honor the agreement made on the phone at first. She politely reminded me of the procedure of checking shirts before sending them out which I was fully aware of. They did end up taking it and stating that they would reorder. I tried to smile and speed politely but the employees I spoke with were not returning the love. It was uncomfortable at best. The shirts done properly did look nice and they did eventually make things right but I would not use this service for myself based on the two uncomfortable encounters I had. I understand mistakes and weird things happen but I would like to have been treated with more respect instead of suspicion and annoyance. UPDATE: 26 days later I called to check in the shirt and they said they had it. Going in to get it was easy and pain free. I was treated with courtesy and respect this time. Not sure how to feel after 2 nice and 2 not so nice visits.

We were assured time and again that the boots were almost done. We were told they would be done way before our son graduated in May 2025. As May 2025 approached we were assured they would be ready for us to try on when we were there for graduation. When we were in Lubbock for my sons graduation we stopped by the shop to check status of the boots. The owner was not around and his wife came out to talk to us, but didn't know the status of the boots and refused to refund us for the down payment we had made on the boots. If you are considering placing an order for boots from this shop, don't. You will put a large down payment on a product you will never see.
