Let me start by saying that I do not like writing negative reviews, however the consumer should be warned before purchasing from this dealer. I bought a brand new 2026 Chevy Trax from South Pointe in November of 2025. I have had to put it in the service department now three times due to the engine light coming on - twice for engine/transmission issues and once for emissions. The car is still under 8,500 miles, by the way. My last visit I was told that the engine was losing oil but they could not find the source of the leak. They put more oil in it and sent me on my way, this after sitting in the waiting area for 2 1/2 hours. After speaking with them I was told there was nothing that could be done and that I should check the oil every few weeks because they cannot trace the source of the leak. This is unacceptable on a brand new vehicle that I paid sticker price for. I also left several voicemails for the General Manager which were not returned and had to finally track him down at the dealership to express my concerns, none of which were meaningfully addressed. Nothing has been and nothing is going to be done by this dealership to make this "lemon" that they sold me right. Use caution before buying here because I can tell you they do not care about you after the sale. read more

I was told transmission needed rebuilt. 7800.00 I took it to a transmission co. they said it was working as it should and it only needed fluid changed. 462.00 Last time they quoted work for over 3200.00 but gave me a deal... under2800.00 after telling them it was too much. I am extremely disappointed with Chevrolet and Southpoint Chevy in particular. I went in for a routine maintenance check on my 2018 Tahoe. oil change, tire rotation, and a general inspection. Then, they told me I needed a new battery. Here's the problem: I had never once had an issue with my battery. My car had always started perfectly, no stalls, no hesitation. I told them I'd get it serviced later if needed, but not immediately. The very next morning, my battery was completely dead--reading only 4 volts. The timing is too obvious. I strongly believe they deliberately drained it, knowing I'd be forced to come back for a replacement. This is unacceptable and feels like a scam. I will be reporting this to Chevrolet's public relations department and the Better Business Bureau. There are already multiple complaints about this location, and it only takes one honest mechanic to speak up for a lawsuit to land on Southpoint Chevy's desk. Defrauding your customers is not okay. I'm extremely disappointed with the service at South Pointe. I took my brand new C8 Corvette in just to have the rear lettering changed from black to red. During the process, they damaged my vehicle, and it had to be sent to a body shop for repairs. I've only had the car for a month, and it ended up sitting at a body shop near 51st and Sheridan for over a week. Completely unacceptable. To make things worse, I recently dropped off my Chevy truck due to a 4-wheel drive service light. Two days later, I was informed that the technician is working on a different vehicle. I have no idea why he didn't complete fixing my truck before jumping into another vehicle. When I asked to pick up my truck, I was told there are currently 175 cars waiting for repair. Now I understand why--it seems technicians jump from one car to another instead of finishing what they start. This level of service is simply unacceptable. I've had enough. South Pointe has proven to be the worst place in Tulsa for vehicle service, and I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I went in for a routine oil change with a scheduled appointment and no one else in front of me waiting. I had a coupon for a $50 oil change that I made the service advisor aware of before they took position of my vehicle. It took them over two hours to perform the oil change, and I found out that they did a recall without telling me as well. When they finally finished, she charged me $70 for the service even though I had a coupon for 50. When I asked, I was told oh that's just taxes and fees. Had my new car's (bought elsewhere) first oil change this morning. I am thoroughly impressed with the friendly professional service from the gal that made the appointment over the phone to Chandler Sheaffer (service advisor). I was treated like a valued respected customer! I was personally led to the main dealership to get a cup of coffee before they opened due to the customer lounge coffee machine on the blitz. Unfortunately, I do not know this gentleman's name. My car took less time than initially stated. The customer lounge had donuts, coffee, charging station, and comfortable seating. Follow up on a previous review that I did... our truck has now been there for over 2 weeks. after posting the initial review, we actually spoke with the GM, Derek. He seemed super apologetic and agreed that even if they don't have an update to give, they should still be calling the customer everyday to let them know something. Whether they're still waiting or whatever. We spoke to him 2 or 3 times in a course of I think, 2 days. He offered to pay the deductible since it was ran through the warranty (which it shouldn't have been). And said that the part was overnighted. That's where all of the decent news ends. The next day we heard from the service manager, Chris (the one that is always out of office every time you ask to speak with him). He stated that the extended warranty place sent the incorrect part and that the correct one was on back order with no ETA. And... that's the last we have heard from them. we attempted to call Derek multiple times, attempted to email him, have left him voicemails as well as contact the service department. no answer. no update. as always. We finally got ahold of someone in the service department a little before noon today and the last note he even saw in the system was that the previous part was overnighted. and goes, "it says overnighted, but that was days ago." So he had no idea that a new part was even supposed to be ordered. we have no idea if the new part was even ordered considering everyone who supposedly has the answers is never in office. So now, we have made a payment on a truck we've been able to have in our possession for maybe 2 weeks. And can't obtain the tag for the vehicle that is now overdue because the tag agency has to have the truck physically there. Therefore we are going to be out the fines that are accruing for however long they're going to have the truck. does anyone have any advice? Who do we go to next? What can we do? We are so, beyond done with this place and the way they do service. I went in for an oil change which was no charge however i had an issue with the dash saying shift to park upon turning engine off. I was quoted over $488 to fix it saying the parking gear was corroded. I remembered having the same issue earlier this yr taking it to southpoint getting it fixed it stopped happening and only flared up again starting last month. Why IF it was fixed correctly has it started happening again? I messaged southpoint that very question i get crickets. I smell a rat! i seriously doubt this issue was fixed earlier this yr or only fixed to last a few months. Think I'm going to get estimates elsewhere so it will be fixed permanently. You know that a dealership is a terribly run business when the general manager will not respond to any of your phone calls. I found his number by looking at terrible reviews on this place. I will never recommend a Stealership who will not honor a simple fix that I am probably going to have to pay for. It's going to be hot this week, my air conditioner still does not work properly ,my wife is in fact pregnant and has to drive this car that we bought. I can honestly see this place going out of business soon. There is a gentleman who posted that he wouldn't buy a bag of chips from this place. I can honestly say that there is in fact a place now that I wouldn't even buy a bag of chips from as well. I feel bad for everyone who has been fooled by this disgusting excuse for a dealership. Watch yourself and don't put yourself in the same position that we are in right now. Don't take your kid here to buy their first vehicle. Horrible customer service and customer experience. Mike was degrading and overtly rude - gave no effort try and resolve our issue. Chevy equinox has defect in engine which causes unnaturally high oil consumption and then doesn't notify you when you're out of oil - totally ruining the engine even if you're diligent with getting your oil changed often and with good oil. The staff at south pointe refused to advocate on the customer's behalf and try to work through our situation - rather they attempted to just blow us off and shove the problem under the rug. I am actually dumbfounded on how rude the service was. While on the phone - they berated my fiancée to the point where they made it seem like the engine issue was her fault and I quote, "to be blunt - we're just not going to help you and neither is GMC." I have never written a review over something in my life and this was such an atrocious experience that I felt compelled to do so. We will never be buying from not only south pointe but never buy a Chevy again. Congrats on saving your multi-billion dollar (10.7B to be exact) company a few thousand dollars at the cost of multiple thousands because you won't be receiving our business. Cheers! read more

We bought a used car for our growing family early March 2023. Frankie was our sales man and was very professional. However, AS we are signing paperwork and had agreed on a price and all we were informed the speakers did not work and that we would have to purchase a new radio out of our pocket (approx $200) to fix this issue. Mind you, they did not take any money off the vehicle for this issue and we paid over market value. Anywho. We felt blindsided but agreed and continued with the deal. When we got home we found out water was leaking into the cargo area in the trunk about 8 inches and had submerged the amplifier and subwoofer for the radio power. So the "speaker issue" was not a $200 fix. It would be more like $2000 MINIMUM for us to fix this. We called Mike the next day and explained the situation and was informed that he would fix the leak issue ONLY if it was a "cheap fix" but they would not under any circumstances fix the amplifier if they did fix the leak. We told him we felt they were deceptive and didn't inform us of the truth about the vehicle just to get a sale and we spoke about returning the vehicle he laughed at my husband on the phone and proceeded to tell him he was "making an ass out of himself". Which, my husband was very angry due to the situation, but as someone who represents this company and is the sales MANAGER, speaks volumes about the company on its own. This company either didn't inspect the vehicle properly before selling it OR they lied about what was wrong with it while overcharging for a vehicle that has issues that they now refuse to fix. I sent a text to the sales manager, Mike, asking when we would be able to bring the van in to get the leak looked at and never heard a response. The vehicle has a few other issues as well like the button to open the trunk doesn't work and the driver side window doesn't roll up properly. Which we should have made sure to check everything I guess that could be on us. But the fact that they didn't disclose any of that information is really shady, unprofessional, and deceptive. I do not, will not, and never will recommend buying from this company and I will make sure everyone I know doesn't go here either. This was the worst and most stressful car buying experience I have ever had. read more

Unless you want to be lied to and misled I would stay away from this dealer. I paid full sticker on a CPO 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 and only asked for their fees to be waived, a back up camera and window tint. They agreed to the fees being waived and to tint the windows. After my call not being returned I called again today and they informed me they would only cover tinting the 2 forward windows. This was not discussed when the deal was made, the sales manager told me that it was said and basically called me a liar. I have the conversation on recording if anyone would like to hear it as well. Not to mention that we put $10,000 down have several paid in full cars in our credit history and that we have a 700+ credit rating. So you'd think we would be just the type of customers they would want repeat business from. I will be going down there in person today to speak with the general manager to see if they will make this right. When I arrived Michael told me it may possibly be Wednesday before I could pick it up which was not feasible. If I could've given a zero I would have. After waiting two months to get in, finally dropped off my Denali this morning. Transmission vibration has increased substantially over the last few weeks and I asked for it to be fixed along with a few other minor issues. Received a call from service...the solution? "Don't drive in Auto Four-Wheel drive. You don't live in Colorado or anything so don't drive it in Auto." That's seriously the solution?? According to Brian it sounds perfectly reasonable for an $80k SUV to drive with a vibration rather than actually fix the problem. WORST customer service and obvious incompetent mechanics - GM should revoke their ability to work on GM automobiles. Do NOT recommend. read more

Took car in for a service appt and was told the appt was only to see a service agent. They don't do appts that guarantee the car will be looked at. Once you meet with the service agent then you leave the car and it could be days before it is even looked at. Other dealerships guarantee appts where your car will be reviewed that day. Significant warranty issues will require they have the vehicle for an unknown amount of time. They refuse to provide a loaner vehicle leaving a mother and children stranded. BUYER BEWARE! The salespeople were great. Our overall experience were great. . . until it came down to the most important part: money. When they hand you a tablet and say "sign here, here, here, and here," you'd better stop on every single page and request that they show you the document you're signing. They did this to my wife and she ended up "agreeing" to a $2500 extended warranty that no one even mentioned. Not the sales guy, not the loan guy, and not the finance guy who finalized the paperwork. Not a peep. It took us 2 days to realize what they had done and it's clear as day the sales trick they're pulling: they give you a tablet that does NOT show any information as to what you're signing, then they slip in whatever they want, and come back with "well, you signed the contract!" It's sad that in today's world, you have to have an attorney on retainer and threaten damages against a company to get them to do the 'right' thing. So my suggestion is that you stay away from SouthPointe because they are more than willing to stick it to you. Sadly, when I went back into resolve a dispute over $500 they claimed we owed, I was told that we weren't the first people to complain about the warranty issue that day and that "you got screwed," to put it in his exact words. They screwed us and since we aren't wealthy, there isn't a whole lot we can do about it. But they don't care. They got theirs and that's all they care about. Lesson learned, I guess. You should learn from our lesson and stay the heck away from SouthPointe. People like that don't deserve your business. read more

Jody, my service advisor, seemed to be pretty educated and knowledgeable in his role. He definitely helped me with a crank but no start issue on my 2021 Duramax Silverado, hoping the ECM update fixed my issue. The only thing I did not like with me being a brand new pickup owner was they have no loaners and no shuttle. At least have a shuttle!!! read more

Zero Stars...Service Department is terrible. Send a random survey post service, you respond fairly, and consultant berates you about their rating. Surveys should be used to improve performance, not as a tool to question customer. Managers response was thats to be expected following a poor review. Shows that behavior Is an accepted practice. Reason for honest review was lack of communication and follow thru after several deadlines for completion of car in service not met. Things happen to cause delays, but a simple call/text status update should be a normal practice. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTING. Service Dept. by far the worst I've ever dealt with! I left with no answers or directions to possibly find out why my son's transmission light keeps coming on and why at 70 mph the car jerks. My son leaves for college shortly and I would really like to have his car fixed and safe for travel. The service person I dealt with when picking up car after they had for 4 days was not helpful and has no business working with the public. One bright light was McKenzie, night service mgr. Car was picked up during day, so I was unable to speak with her. There were several other annoying things, like everything is done by text messaging.... UNACCEPTABLE when it comes to making cars safe to drive.... but I'm not going to list them all. The only reason I went here was because the warranty on my car had to be covered by a certified shop and it was close. Even though I had made an appointment a couple days out for 9:30am they still hadn't even looked at it by the end of the day! It took 2 weeks to get done what the warranty would cover. What the warranty didn't cover they quoted $800 for but the shop down the road did it for $266. The dealership did give me what I thought was a courtesy car but charged me $120 for a "rental" and didn't tell me until I came to pick up my car when they finally finished it! Purchased a vehicle from the used dealership. We were told by the Sales gentlemen that if anything is broken they would fix it. We purchase on a Saturday and take it in for inspection, oil change and detail that Monday. When we picked up our vehicle they said everything looked great and gave us our keys. 1 week later I received an email that the car had an exhaust leak that we wished to postpone at our time of service and a 15% off coupon for the work, which stated $0. Take the car in and they don't have our appointment, call us and state we have to pay for it, and that we can't return the car due to being financed and now can't get anyone to call us back.
