Got a message on my phone that I may be charged for an appointment scheduled for tomorrow. Our new dishwasher is already installed and working. The work was completed by CRST on behalf of Lowe's so I don't know what this appointment is for and I don't want to be charged for it. I tried calling the 360 427 1202, which is listed as their number, but could not reach a live person. If this is a blanket email to all customers, please monitor your emails so it does not go to everybody who doesn't need your service. This is a bad business practice. read more

I don't know how this company is still open? So many complaints on them, they will be more then happy to help but at a high cost to you, that cost was never explained to me at the time of my phone call, I thought the washer was under warranty but not..I'm pretty sure they knew that before coming out but forgot to tell me as he went right into fixing it without going over cost, this cost us $125. for a part and service. the service guy said after that being 2 time fixing the same part..same ok this new washer he said I might want think about replacing it with a new washer..but it was new? never go to this place unless you want spend double..I feel they should be checked for fraud , how can a new washer go threw same part twice in 6 month time..same part..do they replace new parts with old ones? I'm sure that's nothing new to be done..what's going on with this company having so many problems with parts,cost and so on..my husband and I being in our late 60, 70 must look like a easy score. Like others have said here they are rude if you ask to many questions or question the reason for things being done again..I went to the shop to complain to the owner and he reminded me of someone that liked money more then having good customer service..that's my opinion.. read more

They are quick to respond and have reasonable prices. Service people have all been great with our dogs as well.

We had a great response to a service request. Dale arrived at the scheduled time, quickly identified the issue and ordered the part needed.

My washing machine was stopping mid-cycle. I called GE Appliance and was referred to South Sound. I called to schedule but asked if they come out near Ocean Shores. Kelsey said yes but didn't bother to tell me that they charge a $200 service fee. That would have been a hard NO THANKS! Nathan came out, took the machine apart and put it back together after not finding anything. He said it's working fine. I had already told him it works fine until you put a load in then it stops mid-cycle. I asked if I could put a load in real quick but he said he had to go and said that'll be $300. I couldn't believe it - 30 minutes, no fix and a $300 bill? That's when I was told about the service fee. I said I wasn't going to pay it right then because I had no confidence it was fixed. He said they'd bill me. I put a load in and it stopped mid-cycle. I called the office and Kelsey said I'd have to pay before she would send Nathan back. I wouldn't pay it because I didn't trust them at that point. I told her to send me the bill but she sent me straight to collections! My wife and I were worried that our new fridge was working right so I contacted South Sound Appliance. It turns out they serviced our dishwasher a few years ago but I had forgotten that. And an important note here: before you schedule an appointment with an appliance repair company, make sure they require all their service techs wear face masks. The first company I had scheduled to come out told me that the owner won't wear a mask due to "breathing issues" and all his service guys wear their masks below their noses due to "breathing issues". With South Sound, every tech is required to properly wear a face mask when inside a customer's home. And that's exactly what Scotty was wearing--and wearing it properly--when he arrived for the service call today. He was very friendly and answered every one of my questions. He even threw in important info about ensuring the back wall was clear of obstruction so that cold air could circulate easily. He also showed me why the water coming out of the water dispenser can be warm. Just a really great guy. He said he thought he was the one who serviced the dishwasher that time. Turns out our fridge is problem free but Scotty did give us peace of mind. Both my wife and I highly recommend South Sound Appliance. They truly care about their customers. And I gotta say the feeling is mutual. read more

Wow what an awesome company! We have used them twice now for fixing a washer months ago and a dryer today and holy cow they are on it and do such an amazing job! Jackie walked me through everything I needed for my warranty and she was on top of making sure we could get someone out ASAP. I had several questions about my warranty and Jackie and Kelsey were outstanding with the support. They were able to get out to my house within 3 hours and repair my dryer. Nathan the service guy was very nice and even was totally okay with walking in the snow to get to our house since our driveway was not accessible. He showed us what the problem was (a sock in the drum wedged) south sound appliance is truly the only place I will be using for any appliances in the future ! Thank you!! Overcharged above what the tech quoted (he was a nice guy). It just showed up on my card a significantly higher number than quoted for the part. 12 weeks to resolve the issue - Required multiple visits and far more time than it should have to replace what was clearly a shot gearbox on a washer. While in their "care" the control board failed and I was charged for another visit and overcharged (by an additional 37.5%) for the part which was left broken by the tech and I had to call and initiate yet another visit. As of today I am still waiting for a resolution on the overcharging. I will adjust this review base on their resolution. Stay tuned... read more

In March my dishwasher that was only one year old broke. I thought I would be nice and support a local business. I called this business and they sent out a tech who had only worked for them for about 6 months. Because my dishwasher was under warrantee I thought the repair was free as they had actually come out shortly after it was original installed. At the end of the service the tech demanded $125.00. After they left I called the Bosch to complain. They called this company who did honor the fact the tech should have checked before charging me. They ripped up my check. Ordered the part and the same tech came back out 2 weeks later. Apparently while installing the part he did something wrong and again asked for payment. He had to call the company to verify no charge the second time. They had to order another part taking additional 2 weeks. I called and asked for a senior tech to come back a third time. Well he brought the wrong part because apparently it needed a different repair/part that the first person did not understand. I had taken off work 3 times for a dishwasher repair (9 hrs of my time). On May 19 I called because my part was finally in again and I could schedule a repair. It was scheduled for May 30. I never received a reminder call so I called to confirm. I had been told that they had several senior tech of which more than just one could come out. But if I want the 3 time person they didn't work Fridays. I was then gas lite by staff by telling me I had chosen the same person and scheduled for June 2 because they now suddenly only had one senior tech. I was upset and was put on hold. I was explaining to my family members how I would probably never use the service again after my repair do to lack of professionalism While I wanted to support a local business I had decided to not support this one again. The owner came on the call and said they were going to cancel my repair and let Bosch know to send someone else. Way to honor and respect your integrity as a business by making me the problem. Gaslight customers really isn't the way to be as a professional business. Also maybe when you put a customer on hold and you come back on the line you should announce yourself instead easy drop. 0 stars. read more

Don't go there. I bought washer from them and it broke. It was the clutch actiator??? They made me pay $60 to just look at it. I had actually bought the part and I know how easy it is to take machine apart.. yet they told me to fix would be over $400. I bought machine from them for a little over $200. They claimed it was so expensive to fix because they would have to take whole machine apart to fix. This is a lie. When I dropped of machine yesterday to get fixed they had two washers that were used under $300. Today at 10:30 they wouldn't let me put the $60 I gave them towards new machine and they claimed the cheapest used washer was $400. I wish I never took my machine to them. I could still be using to spin. It sulked the water out good and it spun fast. read more

If I could give SOUTH SOUND APPLIANCE - APPLIANCE REPAIR PLUS a 'zero' I absolutely would.  Similar to the other 'one star' reviews, this company started out in a 'professional enough' manner, connecting with us in a relatively short period of time after first being referred by Fidelity Nat'l Home Warranty, however, their professionalism went down hill quickly.  Again, similar to  previous reviews, after taking several weeks to have someone come out and 'diagnose' the problem with our appliance, the paperwork was never turned it so the 'next step' could not be taken to schedule an actual technician.  I had to make several follow up calls to SOUTH SOUND APPLIANCES/ARP to get someone in to do the work.   As they seem to service my area only early in the week, I had to take off work to make sure someone was home and wouldn't ya know it?  They cancelled an hour before they were supposed to show up.  By this time, we had waited 5 weeks from the time of our initial contact til this date of cancellation.  After complaining to (one of several managers, it seems), I was told someone would come back out on a day more convenient for me.  Someone did come out, worked on the appliance, and left, telling me he ran the appliance to make sure it worked.  It didnt.  Trying to reschedule again (now, 2 months later) has been a nightmare.  When the receptionist is out, it seems they fill her position with someone who is not able to help and has little or no ability to make scheduling decisions. It was after my conversation with 'manager' Ken that I decided to cancel my policy with Fidelity (making the referral to SOUTH SOUND APPLIANCES/ARP). Ken's sh*tty, unprofessional attitude was the final straw needed to cut ties with both.  We paid a service fee ($75) to have someone cancel and then NOT correct the problem.  Before my own experience with this company, I read a customer review calling these folks 'crooks' - absolutely correct. I believe I was overcharged on a service call. The technician arrived and evaluated my refrigerator and no repairs were made. Also a microwave was looked at. 5 seconds into the microwave evaluation I said to not do any more. I was charged for the base service call of 100 plus 50 for the microwave and then an additional amount of 30. He did not listen to me about the microwave and continued messing with it. No repairs just evaluation for 180 plus tax. read more

If I could give South Sound Appliance a negative stars I would. After waiting almost 4 weeks for our service appointment my wife called to double checked to see if the technician had been vaccinated. They refused to answer and turned her over to the manager. The manager must have been a medical expert as he told my wife that covid was just the same as the flu. And when she questioned that and said that she wanted to ask me about whether we still wanted the appointment, the manager said never mind as our appointment was already canceled. I am not sure why the manager is not in medical practice instead of a store manager since he seemed to know better then the experts about covid and the flu..... read more

After messing up my 20 year old Jenn Air range trying to fix it myself, I was afraid I was going to have a massive expense trying to repair it. I called South Sound Appliance. The repair tech, Dale showed up right on time and did a very professional job with the repair. He quickly diagnosed the problem and everything works like new. As other reviewers this is not a good place. They came to fix my dishwasher, and it looked ok. But a day later it was leaking again. I called to have it fixed, they said no, to call my insurance company who would have to pay again. I questioned them, their mistake they should fix it. No, no way. After my insurance called them South Sound Appliances refused to service me, I asked too many questions., and if I didn't like it I can go somewhere else. Very bad company. read more
