If I could give SOUTH SOUND APPLIANCE/ARP a 'zero' I absolutely would. Similar to the other 'one…read morestar' reviews, this company started out in a 'professional enough' manner, connecting with us in a relatively short period of time after first being referred to us by Fidelity Nat'l Home Warranty, however, their professionalism went down hill quickly. Again, similar to previous reviews, after taking several weeks to have someone come out and 'diagnose' the problem with our appliance, the paperwork was never turned it so that the 'next step' could be taken to schedule an actual technician. I had to make several follow up calls to ARP to get someone in to do the work. As they only seem to service my area only early in the week, I had to take off work to make sure someone was home and wouldn't you know it? They cancelled an hour before they were supposed to show up. By this time, we had waited 5 weeks from the time of our initial contact til now. After complaining to (one of several managers, it seems), I was told someone would come back out on a day more convenient for me. Someone did come out, worked on the appliance, and left, telling me he ran the appliance to make sure it worked. It didnt. Trying to reschedule again (now, 2 months later) has been a nightmare. When the receptionist is out, it seems they fill her position with someone who is not able to help and has little or no ability to make scheduling decisions. It was after my final conversation with 'manager' Ken that I decided to cancel my policy with Fidelity (making the referral to ARP), Ken's sh*tty, unprofessional attitude was the final straw needed to cut ties with both. We paid a service fee ($75) to have someone cancel on us and then NOT correct the problem. Before my own experience with this company, I read a customer review calling these folks 'crooks' - absolutely correct. Urgent (repeated) warning: do not work with South Sound Appliance/Appliance Repair Plus. They are crap!

Lowes assigned Appliance Repair Plus to us for washer repair. We live on a Naval base and I…read moreexplained that to gain base access I would need to meet the repair person at the gate and they would need current ID. As soon as I mentioned the base the receptionist put me on hold and quickly came back to say they don't repair appliances on base. I made sure she understood it was a privately owned appliance - that didn't matter. No repairs on base - period. How disappointing to be refused service because we are a military family. Steer clear of Appliance Repair Plus.

The work was completed by CRST on behalf of Lowe's so I don't know what this appointment is for and I don't want to be charged for it. If this is a blanket email to all customers, please monitor your emails so it does not go to everybody who doesn't need your service. This is a bad business practice.

I'm sure that's nothing new to be done..what's going on with this company having so many problems with parts, cost and so on..my husband and I being in our late 60, 70 must look like a easy score. Like others have said here they are rude if you ask to many questions or question the reason for things being done again..I went to the shop to complain to the owner and he reminded me of someone that liked money more then having good customer service..that's my opinion..

I sent my address and pictures of the dryer. I was thrilled when he said he could send someone out same day. That's where the nightmare began. A "tech" arrived in a Lexas SUV with no tools. Spoke little to no English. My husband left him alone while he worked. After 20 mins he came into the kitchen and said it couldn't be repaired. We asked him to write it up for our insurance and tell us what we owed for diagnostic. He walked outside and drove away. We then noticed he had scratched up our floors in multiple places and dinged the wood baseboard. I contacted the manager who I had texted with and, well, the images of the text chain speak for themselves (posted to Google). He was combative and accusatory, saying we had caused the scratches. I had texted him a picture only hours before with the floor and baseboard in clear view. Did he really think that in that window we had gone in and scratched up our own floors? He also refused to get me the write up we needed for insurance, or even tell me what I owed for the diagnostic. I have never posted a negative review before but felt compelled in this case. I honestly can't believe these people are still in business. Stay far away.

I paid Appliance ER $110.04 for a diagnostic visit on my Bertazzoni refrigerator. During that…read morevisit, the technician showed me the failed part -- the main control panel -- and explained it would need to be replaced. After receiving their estimate, I was shocked. Appliance ER quoted me $1,935.02 to replace a part that I was able to purchase directly from Bertazzoni for $249.95. This is not a complicated repair. The control panel is a plug-and-play unit. The installation instructions are straightforward and publicly available: Turn off the breaker, unplug the unit, take a photo of the wiring, swap the panel, and reconnect. That's it. No sealed system work. No refrigerant. No special tools. No advanced labor. Yet the quote reflects nearly $1,700 in markup for a part swap that takes minutes. What's most concerning is that the technician physically showed me the panel during the diagnostic, so I was able to verify exactly what part was needed and how simple the replacement is. This felt far less like a repair estimate and far more like an attempt to take advantage of a homeowner who doesn't know they can order the part themselves. I understand companies need to make money. I do not understand a 7-8x markup on a plug-in component with minimal labor. If you use Appliance ER, make sure you price the part yourself before approving any work. It may save you thousands.
